I know you already talk about your travel gear in some videos and even share links to Amazon, but it would be awesome if you made a video specifically about your go-to travel items, bags, and essentials. Adding that to your repertoire would be really cool and super helpful!

I may or may not be interested on some of the locations -- 'cause I'm not really a beach person, as in, for instance, even if I am Mexican, I would never spend a peso out of my own pocket on a vacation anywhere in the Cancún area. But what you do is very unique. Your observations and keen eye translate in profoundly valuable informative short films, and I've learned a lot from you. Creating this kind of content is not just the result of traveling there and filming and that's it. One of the things I enjoy the most is how aware you are about not making your viewers feel sick by moving your iphone's camera too quickly; you know what is the optimal pace for each turn and everything. You pick the most favorable light to film, you maintain a visual standard... I'd love to see how you schedule your every shot and then the decision making process of editing. Plus the research you do. The way you write and speak, in your own style and your very own voice. You are in a category of your own, and I love how very much aware you are of that. As a young person still early and amateur in my travel experiences, I am often inspired by your attention to detail, knowledge of hotel history, and level of research you put into a place before staying in it. I find myself trying to appreciate the places I come across the same way you do (albeit way less detailed) and trying to be more attentive to the hotels I book. Here’s to half a million 👏🏻 The Taj in Mumbai has a different memory of the odour of this hotel, my memory isn’t sweet jasmine, it was the smell of damp clothes which was actually the smell of mop used in the stairwell. I know it sounds bizarre but every time I get that whiff in my nostrils from other places (which isn’t that often) it takes me back to the Taj in 1974, my ‘madeleine moment’ as it were. BTW it didn’t detract from the memory of opulence of this wonderful-hotel. 🥂

I don't have many equivalent experiences, but I agree entirely about Oman Air (and Oman) - I flew with them from Delhi to Muscat last year and it was one of the great business class experiences I've had, and for exactly the reasons you mention. Thanks for all of your content.

I was actually waiting for you to hit 100k before commenting, but now that you've hit its euphoric. The content on the channel has conviction and serves the audience like the Okura hotel you mentioned and you stick with it consistently and reassure your commitment, that's why I think you have the most deserved subscriber base on UA-cam. I've never supported any UA-camr except you and I continue to do so as I'm eager to Thursdays and Saturdays to hear stories which makes many people happy and satiates curiosity accurately. I'm so glad I joined on January 14th and saddened I never subscribed sooner. I actually first saw this channel after watching one Island Hopper video and I was not a fan. After seeing "The Flip Flop Traveller", I thought it was going to be the same. I didn't even want to watch anything until after watching Simply Aviation, I finally decided to give you a try as you had videos of Vietnam and I've been planning on returning home after 15+ years. I think I've watched the majority of your videos while I'm eating, passing time, cooking or simply staying in the bathroom for too long. Hey Flip Flop Traveller. I really like your style of presentation and editing style. The amount of effort put into your videos is astronomical and deserves all the praise it can get. As a young person still early and amateur in my travel experiences, I am often inspired by your attention to detail, knowledge of hotel history, and level of research you put into a place before staying in it. I find myself trying to appreciate the places I come across the same way you do (albeit way less detailed) and trying to be more attentive to the hotels I book. The learning part from your videos is my favorite part and I hope one day I get to stay in the many resorts and hotels just as you've done!

The Taj in Mumbai has a different memory of the odour of this hotel, my memory isn’t sweet jasmine, it was the smell of damp clothes which was actually the smell of mop used in the stairwell. I know it sounds bizarre but every time I get that whiff in my nostrils from other places (which isn’t that often) it takes me back to the Taj in 1974, my ‘madeleine moment’ as it were. BTW it didn’t detract from the memory of opulence of this wonderful-hotel. 🥂
