- 🦌Stan and Rhonda from Over The Hill Adventures are back on the road for their new spring season, "Into The Wild." As you may know by now, Stan and Rhonda like to travel and share their adventures during the shoulder seasons. This spring they are headed to the Black Hills of the great state of South Dakota in hopes to see as much wildlife as they can. Their first stop will be in Merced, California at an Elks Campground. From there they will head to Chico, California where they will see their second oldest son Cory, his wife Taylor and their three grandsons. In Chico, they were able to stay at another incredible Elks Campground. They explain a little of the process of becoming an Elk and how they save money on RV camping at Elks Lodges and campgrounds.

It's 9 hour for me from Paso Robles to Needles at the Desert View RV park. Fuel up at the truck stops on 95 as I want my gas gauge to read almost empty when I hit Needles. The Havasu Elks really puts on a feed!
The Havasu Elks have a great RV park too. The food is excellent!! Safe travels!!

Nice, might just check it out. We are on our way home know. Went to elkhart Indiana and had independent suspension and disk brakes put on at MorRide. Went to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to see a Old Army Friend. We have driven about 6200 miles so far. We are in Texas know, another Army Friend and Brenda has Family here. You guys went by our house. Drive SAFE.

We waved as you passed by Visalia where we live! 😂. Merced is known for horrible freeway construction! I drive through there on the 99 several times a year and I hate it. 😂

Hi Heather! How funny, our oldest and his family live in Gahannah, Ohio. Last year we traveled from our home base in Arizona to see them. This was our “Faith Over Fear”Season. I’ll link the playlist. We saw so much!! We tried to hit a lot of the National Parks on the way out there and back; White Sands, Guadalupe Mountains, Carlsbad Caverns, Hot Springs (gotta see Bathhouse Row) and Mammoth Cave. We also stopped in Waco to see the Magnolia Silos 🙌 Highlight for me 😂

Hi Rhonda and Stan thank you so much for the response! I have about a billion things to ask but first let me say I’m so glad to see your tow behind! We have a 38 foot Forrest River Wildwood our first brand new camper …have had used. Our end goal is to retire sell the house buy a 5th wheel and just be nomads! Our adventures tend to be enjoying the views as I’ve lived with MS for 27 years and hiking is not an option. I’ll live vicariously thru you all!
Question…do you follow trucker routes or how do you avoid low overpasses and steep inclines. Thanks in advance be safe out there

Love your priorities, God, Family, Country, especially in this day & age! Sometimes with all the news it’s easy to forget just how many of us there still are! PS...I came from a game playing family too! We may just have to check out those Elks! Right now we are on a work trip & brought the Imagine along... $65 a night was still better than the $200 the hotels in the area were charging! Headed back today to hopefully catch our granddaughter’s track meet! Happy Trails!

Looks like you two are very happy. Getting back out on the road. Adventure start next Thursday. Just a short trip up to Door County from was Green Bay. Picked up a couple used. Eat bikes and very excited about start using them. Any recommendations on locks for like when you’re out riding and you take a break? Thanks from Wisconsin.
Hello Robert, I went to Home Depot and got six feet of the thickest chain I could find. I lock it to the trailer with a storage container lock.
When we are riding and I think we’re going to stop I use the U locks. It takes a long time to cut those. Do not use cable locks. Crooks cut those like butter. For an extra precautions Apple Air Tags secretly placed can help you find your e-bike if someone is able take them. I take all the precautions possible. Our mountain e-bikes cost as much as a car. @@OverTheHillAdventures that is the plan. Can’t wait to get this summer started. School ends the 23rd of driving school bus, and we are spending time with family to celebrate the 4th. Our adventure starts the 8th. Heading west bound of Route 66 to the Grand Canyon the Utah, Colorado for the national parks, going to the Ark on the way back to NY. The sad state of depression. 😂
