I love your sign behind you! I see more and more on folks on UA-cam with an open faith in Christ! Awesome!
Amen! Agreed
OMG.. Buy the souvenir shirt.. then leave them in rig for camping trips GENIUS! I'm not a huge souvenir person but I like this idea..
Problem is I like wearing them when I’m home too 😂 Thanks for the tip though 👍👏 ~ Rhonda
I love the sign on the wall, 🙌🏻🙏🏻
Hello Annemarie, it is one our favorite verses in the Bible 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Thank you for joining us! ❤️. Spreading the Faith making the world a better place. Blessings, Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
Love your tips! One of the first things we did to our RV was put piano hinges on the seats of the booth so we don't have to lift the wood out every time to get into the storage.
Yes please!! 🙏👏 Love that idea! The access to the dinette storage is very difficult so I can see that making a big difference. Thank you for watching and for being part of this conversation! I appreciate you sharing such a helpful idea! ~ Rhonda
I am new at Rving with a travel trailer & I am really glad I found your channel. Great tips for shaving space.
We are so glad we can help! Blessings, Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
I was watching this again this evening and when Rhonda asked Alexa to add salsa to her shopping list, our Alexa asked if I wanted to create a shopping list. A reminder that AI never sleeps!
The AI is always listening 👂 lol
I love your sign hanging behind you! I’m seeing more and more UA-camrs with a faith in God!
Some of the fun of traveling in campers for me is the prep work and stocking them up. It adds to the excitement. Here in MN, we don’t get much in the way of warmth 6 months of year, so traveling OUT of this arctic mess is all the more satisfying! 😎
Kelly Ann, we lived in snow for 31
Years until we moved to Lake Havasu and enjoy 9 months of beautiful weather instead of the other way around. 🙌 We also love packing and getting on the road. My check list really helps me keep organized. I agree with you there are so many like minded people of faith on UA-cam. We like to shine our light brightly and be the salt of the earth. Thank you Kelly Anne for your kind words. Our relationship with Jesus drives us to travel and meet new people. We have always said, we are not guaranteed tomorrow. Tomorrow is a new day. Thank you for watching our video!! Love in Christ, Stan and Rhonda ❤️
Great tips! Thanks for sharing. 🥰
Hi Stephanie, thank you so much for joining us. Rhonda❤️
Another great video filled with tips! Thanks!
Pat, I appreciate you!
~ Rhonda
So funny when I saw on your list quarters. My inlaws from Iowa were south winter Texans. See during the year in Iowa, had a old metal band aid box she would put them in over the summer to do laundry at the nice park they started at for 20 something years. They stayed at Palm Shadows in Dona Tx. 😘
Derik, That is actually a great idea! Not sure if they make metal band-aid boxes anymore, but I’m sure I can find something fun to collect quarters in 🤔 What a fun memory to have. Thank you for sharing! Blessings, Rhonda
I just found your channel today! Love you videos. Wd bought our rig on Saturday. So we're excited to get on the road again. It's our third rig but I'm always looking for great suggestions. Keep up the great work!❤️
Hi Lynn, Congratulations on your new rig 🙌👏 There’s nothing like hitting the road and finding your new adventure! What make/model did you get? Thanks so much for reaching out! ~ Rhonda
Very helpful, we are retired, semi-new, part time rv-ers and looking for ways to stock and organize our small toy hauler...thank you for the helpful tips and happy camping!
Thank you for reaching out Lisa! What is in your toy hauler? Side by side? Sounds like you will have some fun adventures ahead 👏 If you haven’t seen my organization video yet here is the link ua-cam.com/video/XNt0nT5gugY/v-deo.html&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE
I have another link I will share the link to as well.
You might find these helpful too. Have fun!

Here is that other link I mentioned 😀ua-cam.com/video/3G65qb6ohCQ/v-deo.html&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE
Great tips!
Thank you!
Sir, you married an angel. I did too. We are blessed men 🙏
Derik, yes I have and couldn’t be more blessed to have a partner in life like Rhonda. Blessings, Stan
Great tips, especially about not overpacking and packing for multiple seasons.
Rosemary, Glad you found it helpful! I appreciate your input. Thank you so much for watching 🤗 Rhonda
Hi Rhonda, Thanks for the great tips and the RV packing list. We are struggling with keeping our shower from becoming a storage area. I think some of your organization ideas are going to help me with that. Any tips for where/how to store wine bottles? And the biggest mystery of all....where did you place your toilet paper holder? I was thinking of placing it on the door under bathroom sink, but I see you have your extra shopping bags storage there. Thanks in advance 🤗
Hi Susan! Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We are at the Grand Design National Rally volunteering as area hosts for the first time 🤗 Thank you for watching and sharing that these ideas are helpful for you. You may have figured this out, but if you copy the packing list in Google Docs, you can then make that “copy” your own and personalize it. I still pack with our list each trip. It’s ever growing though, lol! I need to add batteries to the list as I just came to find out. 🫨
Regarding the toilet paper holder, we ended up getting one where you slip the roll over the end and we screwed it vertically onto the wall by the shower door. So if you were sitting on the potty, it’s to the right. Hope that makes sense. The barn door to the bedroom runs behind that little wall. As far as wine bottles go, maybe up above the microwave with a flat anti-slip wine rack? I saw some on Amazon, but had mixed reviews. Looks like several other options though. We store alcohol in the end table by the couch that’s closest to the slide. But in a bin because we had a glass bottle break and damage the base of the cabinet. If you find a good place for the wine, please share! Thanks again for your contribution and great questions! Blessings, Rhonda
Thanks for the tips and the packing list!!!
Margaret, You are so welcome!! You may already know, but you can make a copy of it in Google Docs and then make it your own by adding your personal items/meds, etc. I pack by that list every time and it hasn’t failed me yet, lol. Of course I’m always adding to it 😄 Thanks for watching and safe travels!! ~ Rhonda
Lots of good information. Thank you. Could you discuss easy meals on the road. Always looking for ideas
Joan, Sorry for the delayed response 😞 Thank you so much for watching and it makes my day to know this was helpful information for you. 🤗 I love that idea about easy meals on the road!! I’ll have to work with my hubby on that one since he LOVES to cook on the Blackstone. Thanks again for reaching out and contributing to our channel. Blessings, Rhonda
All great tips thanks for sharing and we are going to check out you sheet and down load it. You may want to keep a eye on your slide with all your drinks under the bench that gets very heavy and my give you trouble down the road. Thanks From Wisconsin PS just found you two and like your videos a lot
Hello Robert! Thank you so much for watching and for reaching out 🤗👏 Stan has been concerned about the same thing, the weight of too many drinks, so we don’t load as much under the bench anymore. Thanks for confirming that was a good idea 😃 You should be able to download the list, copy it and add to it to make it your own. I’ll tell you, I print it every trip and it’s been a life saver for me. We love knowing you are joining us on our adventures and look forward to hearing more about yours! Blessings, Rhonda

Great info for non- full timers!
The Feathered Cottage Adventures, Thanks so much for watching! That was my hope, to help out those who only part-time adventure and help them look forward to the trip a little more. Blessings, Rhonda
Hi Rhonda, I already printed and laminated your RV List. It will definitely help me pack things up before our next trip. The beginning of May were headed out to Camp Pendleton!
Lorraine, That’s awesome to hear! I actually print it out every trip and it’s a life saver 🙌 It thrills me to know it will help you pack for your trips. I grew up in Oceanside and I think we camped there with friends once when I was a kid. Thank you so much for reaching out and sharing! Blessings and have so much fun! Rhonda
These were some pretty great ideas, however, I disagree with one small point you made. In your second tip, you suggested leaving many items in the rig. While I agree with that philosophy for the most part, not everything can be left in a non-climate controlled. The one item that threw up a red flag was when you mentioned leaving your first aid kit in your rig. Even OTC (over the counter) medications need to be kept in a fairly strict temperature range. Even items such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen - as you mentioned - have an acceptable temperature range in order to enjoy the benefits you expect in the medication. Other than that one wee point, I absolutely love the rest of the list - especially the pillows…. we are obsessed with our pillows!
Hello Chris, Thank you so much for bringing up that fact about the medication. I actually never even thought about that. We store our trailer in our RV garage and for 9 months out of the year the temps are at acceptable temperatures, but the summer months here in Arizona are scorchers. I will now be bringing in the medications in the summer. 👍 I appreciate you taking the time to not only watch, but to also comment so thoroughly! Blessings, Rhonda and Stan
Great information. Thank you.
Blessings
Betty Jo, Thank you for your kind comment! I appreciate it and appreciate you watching! Blessings, Rhonda
Awesome information! You definitely gave me some new ideas. Thanks!
Thanks Terry! I love how we can continue to learn from each other in this community. I appreciate you! Rhonda
Love watching your videos and I love all your organization tips, Rhonda! We just purchased a 2022 2500RL and pick it up soon. I can't wait to get all organized and go on our first long trip!
Congratulations on your new trailer Lisa! The hard part is waiting till you pick it up, but it’s also the fun part, because you can prepare and plan for the day you get to bring it home 👏🤗 🙌 You are going to love the newer design with the extra counter space and the added window. There is so much light in this trailer and this will bring even more ☀️ We will be doing a one year (15 month 🤪) review video soon and going over all the upgrades we have added and are enjoying. It makes my day to know these videos have been helpful for you! Keep in touch and maybe we will see you someday at a Grand Design Rally! Welcome to the family ❤️ Rhonda
Very useful tips. Thanks.
Thank you so much! Makes my day to know you found it helpful. I appreciate you watching and reaching out 👏 Blessings, Rhonda
Thanks Stan & Rhonda for posting this video. We were curious about packing and storing clothes and other items for longer trips. We have a 2019 2500RL and always debate where to put things. We picked up on some of your ideas. Thank you.
Good morning James! We are glad you had suggested a video regarding packing. It had been on my mind to do one for awhile so I appreciate the suggestion. Happy some of our ideas were helpful. Feel free to share any you have found helpful as well. Great hearing from you! Blessings, Rhonda and Stan
As I watched this, our Alexa heard Rhonda say “Alexa, addd salsa to my RV shopping list”. I told her “Alexa, forget it”. She replied “ok”
That’s pretty funny Mark! Glad she is responding to you now. Gotta watch that Alexa, she’s on alert 🚨 🤣
Great video and tips. Thank you! ❤😁
Kimmy, You are very welcome! Happy to hear the tips were helpful to you. I really appreciate you taking the time and reaching out. Blessings, Rhonda

Michelle, thank you for joining us! You are very welcome! Stan and Rhonda
Hi Stan and Rhonda! The 2500 RL is the tt I have zeroed in on. My husband and I are over the hill folks too and hope to be traveling more. One thing I am having trouble learning about is the tv position for viewing from the sofa. My husband is very particular about wanting a direct view which would not hurt his neck. I wonder if the tv could be placed on a different arm to give it more flexibility? Truthfully, I wish the tv location also had a fireplace heater. You mentioned using a electric heater in your rig. Is it one you recommend?
Well, thanks for doing these videos! I really appreciate seeing them. Hats off to Stan for being so safety minded. Hats off to Rhonda for being so practical with your tips!
Blessings, Kellie
Hello Kellie, thank you for your kind words. The new 2500RL, Grand Design has placed the TV higher than ours. When we pull out our TV and it comes out pretty far. We have the theater recliners so when we lean back it is in a perfect position for us. Rhonda sits closes to the door and I sit opposite directly in front the TV. We love it❤️. Any space heater works. Our is a Lasko it fits perfectly in the cubby. We use it when we have full hookups to save on the propane. However, when we went on the Grand Design Imagine tour. We discovered the heater pipes in hot air into the the belly of the trailer so nothing freezes underneath. That was good to know when traveling in subfreezing temperatures. Thank you so much for joining us on our adventures. We hope to see you down the road someday. Blessings, Stan and Rhonda❤️
@@OverTheHillAdventures hi
Hi Stan! Well, you can see I am very new at posting…learning as I go. You said the heater fits perfectly in the “cubby.” Which cubby are you referring to? Also, I did notice the newer GD 2500 rl has the tv higher. 😥 do you (as a hands on kind of guy) believe there is a work around for it? Maybe a longer arm…or do I need a contractor? Glad you mentioned that Rachel is in the seat by the door. I already assumed that would be my spot! Lol. Probably need t shop for a 2020!
It really is a bummer that GD did not use a better counter material. That seems like something owners will have to address sooner or later. It would have been ideal, if they would just given us an option for a more durable surface. Thanks again! Can’t wait to be rv-ing!
@@steveja4972 you just need to look for the 2nd generation 2021 like we have. I’m sure there are plenty out there. Our little heater fits perfectly in the TV cabinet. We just pull it out and plug it in. When we’re done we just stow it away.
The TV and the cabinet is already at a slant the TV already has an extending arm attached.. We pull it out towards us which makes it perfect to watch TV. When we’re all done watching TV we push it back in the cabinet and it’s ready for travel. I hope that helps and gives you some clarity. Stan
@@OverTheHillAdventures That definitely helps me understand more! Thanks! I do have one more question, if you will indulge m please? Our SUV has a tow limit of 8300 lbs. do you know what the weight is after it has a typical load? Thank you very much! Kellie
Not finding your checklist in the description?... Did you remove it?
Hello Redhead45ish, I just checked and the checklist link still there. It is in the description of the video. The first link you come to. Let’s us know you found it. Stan and Rhonda
Do you leave your sugar and flour in the RV since it's in those containers?
Hello Barbara, yes we do. We store our RV in the garage. Thank you for joining us! Stan and Rhonda🙏🏼❤️
How do you change the Google doc you shared from “view only” to being editable?
Hi Cindi! You save it in Google Drive and then copy it. Then you can make it your own 👏
@@OverTheHillAdventures thank you…done! 👍🏻
@@cindifairchild1846 👏👏👏
Do you worry about the pantry food going bad between trips? It gets really hot inside our parked RV in the summer and I’m not sure what is safe to leave in the RV.
Lesa, Great question!
I always check the dates on the pantry items before each trip. Our trailer is stored in our RV garage in Arizona, but it gets quite hot in there. I only leave like dry pasta, rice and and few canned goods in there along with spices. I would definitely use your judgement, but I haven’t had any concerns. Thanks for watching and for reaching out. 😊 Rhonda
