Thanks for the video! ❤ I think overall the results are great! It's interesting to know what you'll think after a year of use. I have been using this helmet for 10 months now for alopecia areata. I started seeing significant results after 6 months, I think it helped me a lot. The hair grows much faster and the scalp is less irritated. But it's hard to measure the exact effect of the helmet among the other things I do, like scalp massage, serum, diet change... Right now the alopecia almost stopped completely. 🥰
@PlugInBaby185 I am at my early stage in hair loss. My hairline have receded. As per chatGPT, I am at Norwood scale 2A of hair fall. Do you think, I should invest in this device, since I am really confused between devices from different brands, like Current body, iRestore, Capillus, HairMax etc. I'm confused that whether Current body is right choice? Whether it regrows hairs on bald receding hairline ? Whether it's all worth it ? Please reply me if you can. I'll be very thankful.
Great, balanced review Dr.Anne, as always. I think visible results will also depend what stage in the hair growth cycle any photos are taken (the cycle can be anywhere from 3-6 years). I like how your conclusions are always measured and thoughtfully considered. I have personally used LLLT with success but combined with oral dutasteride and topical minoxidil.
I splurged on the older version of the Omnilux, and I honestly didn’t see much of a difference. However, I lost a good bit of weight so I’m not sure the helmet could compete with that. Still, I use it because it is relaxing, and I like to do what I can since my frontal hairline is so thin now. I also use minoxidil, and hrt. Not sure I can do much more than that☺
@DoctorAnne good question! I probably shouldn't assume that, as despite losing a good deal of weight, i tried very hard to eat healthfully and took a multivitamin. I've just seen reports that the category of weight loss medicines (which i was on) were associated with hair loss. However, now that i think about it, i had thinning hair before the weight loss. So it might just be due to advancing age (54 years young).
@@321morlan4 It is very hard to determine why one is loosing hair, especially as with stressful events (to which a strict diet absolutely ounts) the hair loss can start with a 3 months delay. But of course if the medication you were on is linked to hair loss, it might be a valid explanation.
There was some improvement in the before and after at the temple. Otherwise I didn't see a difference. I wonder how it would compare to the headband that Hot and Flashy uses. I think her hairband is laser, not LED. Thanks for the video.
That would be an interesting question. My problem with headbands is that they only cover a small area and that in women hair loss tends to be diffuse, so in theory you would need to use it repeatedly and always move it back a little, which would be time consuming.
Would it also help with scalp psoriasis stretching over the whole scalp? I read the "irestore" uses low laser treatment as well so now I am torn. Can you maybe recommend one of the two? 🥲
Have you seen a doctor about the Psoriasis? I would talk to them first before trying something like this, maybe there are better treatment options. As I haven't tried the iRestore myself, I can't really comment on which one is better, sorry.
Let me know: Where do you see the biggest difference in the before and afters?

That is great to hear - the most important thing is that something helps.

Thank you for your kind words and for adding your experience.

Why do you assume the weight loss influenced the hair loss? Do you think you became nutrient deficient inthe process? Genuinely curious question!

After watching the video, do you feel differently about getting one?

I'm returning mine, I believe lasers work better than leds for hair
How long have you had it for?
@@DoctorAnne 4 and a half months, haven't noticed improvements.
