well actually if you pack your ammo into boxes of 30 you can just open the box above the hopper and be reloaded in a few secs ... the rival scene is doing that with hopper fed blasters all the time ...
How about we get some more Nerf stereotypes? I have a few suggestions: 1. The hopper guy - only uses blasters with a hopper. 2. The retaliator guy - the guy who uses a basic retaliator for a secondary and a pump action one as a primary. Not even sure if Coop will see this comment though....
This is a great blaster for playing on a field. As you run you can just grab random dart off the ground and plop one in. I'd definitely leave this on my hip and then keep it as a little secondary that's constantly well fed.
Glad this one got the coop treatment, unique blaster and lots of fun! I modified mine by removing the front sling mount and replacing it with a picatinny with a flashlight/laser combo, the laser helps you to paint a dot on the target for hip fire accuracy. I also removed the lower handle and replaced it with a pool noodle for a melee combo!

Blaster's strong out the box, but the simplest mods I can think of (and will get later in the year) is to make it lipo-powered and to possibly put a spring in the accordion to hold the darts in place. In a war, you run with it and set up. You get a few good shots in, but then the darts were knocked about and suddenly you got a bit of a jam. Two of my favorite stories with the Destructor had me holding an objective against kids. I mantled it and just went Normandy on 'em as they tried to take my hill. They got it in the end, but it was a shock that angling it could give me huge coverage. The other time I tagged a buddy with a burst and as he was walking away, three more hit him on the upper buddy. "I WAS GOING."
A Mini Prometheus that shoots darts is an awesome thing, although I kinda wish dart zone would make more magazine fed blasters like a cheaper version of the DZP.
I got mine last year and fell in love with it. I've since rewired it to take a NiMH and the performance is insane. You really should have compared it to the Titan since they are both fire-from-the-hip blasters.
i feel like you could use rubber bands to hold darts in groups of 30, so to reload youd just grab the clump of darts, slide off the rubber band, and drop them in quite quickley

You NEED to make a shoulder mounted Stryfe that fires when you are changing your main blasters magazine! It would be sooo tacticool!!!! If it uses short darts it will save on weight/bulk.
Oh yeah I've had one of these bad boys for a long time and they freaking rock. They shoot the darts more rapidly and harder than other auto nerf guns do.
Commandfire axtually has a capacity of 40 rounds btw. I mean i dont think thats going to change your opinion Coop, but im just throwing that out there.
I'd be curious to see how long it takes to load and dump a full hopper from the Destructor, compared to inserting and dumping two mags through a Rapidstrike.
Not sure if this has been said over the past 356 comments (probably has), but The Commandfire hopper capacity is "stock" 40 darts, not 30. But, rate of fire on this one is noticeably faster!

I've suggested it in the past, and I'm gonna suggest it again. When reviewing a fully-automatic blaster, why not include a fire rate statistic as part of a review? The muzzle velocity is only part of it. Knowing how fast it fires in comparison to others would be a great piece of info to have.

There is a way to shoulder fire it... kinda. You hold it like an old school video camera, rest the rear of the gun on your shoulder. You hold the handle like you would hold binoculars. Your fingers hold down the rev trigger and your thumb holds down the firing trigger. I only know this because I dual yielded this and the command fire at the office nerf battle.
Think of coop like a Prometheus Big on the outside but strong and effective on the inside And I'm an og coop fan and is been watching him since the start
Personally, I see this as not an upgrade, or downgrade compared to the Commandfire. They are different in their own unique ways. I personally gravitate towards the commandfire, as I like the feel and slower rate of fire more, but as Coop said, it's down to your opinion
Hey Coop, it would be cool if you started shooting the darts out of the next blaster you are going to review, say if you were going to review the hyperfire you shoot elite darts. Just an idea that I got from you using MODULUS darts.
I wonder if you'd be able to modify a Nerf magazine to act like a paintball tube reload. Load 18 darts into the mag, then have a toggle or something that lets the darts pop out on their own, while you angle it into the hopper.
It's a stupid fun blaster to use. Can hold 40 darts like the Commandfire, even if it only comes with 30. The tiny door on the side lets you load darts one at a time with the hopper still closed, so you can top up slowly if you still need to be able to fire on demand. Also since replacement flywheel cages are on Thingiverse, you can do even more silly things with it. Mine currently hits 160+ fps with adjustable rate of fire.

I just got my Destructor today, got home, took it apart, and painted it. Got it on sale at Target for $20.99!
