Jeff, that is such a wonderful gift for your grandson (I think that is who you said that was for) and very well done too! Thank you so much for sharing, great video! ❣
Hi Martha. Yes I have, but wasn't impressed with it. The image did show, but not enough contrast for me. Maybe on a much lighter colour than I had would be fine.
That would be my suggestion. If you attach the decal before it will fade more and may distort as the surface of the glass melts and moves during the fuse.
It has to be a laser printer, and the toner must contain iron. So only certain laser printer makes and models work. This page on our website has more3 details. rocketroseart.com/laser-decal-paper-faqs/
Hi Gerri. Not with this decal paper. The sepia look is it. You can get single coloured decal paper. I've done a video on this. But you can only cut it into as design. You can cut it on a Cricut machine though. There is no way that I know of where you can print your own fusible decals in full colour. If anybody else knows of a way we would love to hear from you.
Hi Jeff I bought some of the decal paper and checked the printer ink etc but it disappeared during the firing. Is there any other reason other than the ink being incorrect that would cause the decal to be invisible?
Hi hayley. Sounds like you used the wrong type of printer. Is it the type of laser printer suggested by the manufacturer? Here's a link to that page on our site so you can check. rocketroseart.com/laser-decal-paper-faqs/. This is also an updated page on the manufacturers site - fired-on.com/faqs/
@@RocketRoseArt hi Jeff thanks I had checked the resource links prior to printing to make sure the printer was appropriate. The printer I used wasn’t on the do not use list. Thanks I’ll try again
@RocketRoseArt I will look and thank you. I went to Office Depot to get my photo decal paper printed. I asked about the iron oxide amount in the toner. They did not know and looked at the toner box, which did not list anything.
Hello! sorry to reach out on this format! I am unable to contact you via email on the website. I am trying to purchase a printer that will do the sepia tone images. I know I need to purchase the canon printer but cannot seem to locate where the toner/ink tells the ferrite or iron oxide.
Hi Cyndee. Have you tried talking to the manufacturer at fired-on.com? They will have all the information. Regards where to purchase and exactly which models they may be able to help.
Sorry about my manners, your work is beautiful!!
I couldn't see anything to apologise for? Anyway, thanks Martha.
Thank you for your reply. I'll check the website. I really like your teaching style and your presentation!
Always my pleasure to help.
Very inspiring, beautiful
Thank you.
What a lovely gift for your family!
Your list of options of what we can do with decals seems endless.
Hi Carol. I think there are many ways to use them. Many I've never tried. Good fun testing these.
Thanks!
Thanks again Mary. I really appreciate your support.

Yes, my Grandson and his partner. I'm a bit late though. They've since had a beautiful boy so I'm a great-grandad now.
wonderful ideas. Love your videos.
Thanks Judith.
I Brasil, Jef ! ✨😘✨
H Monica. Hope you are well.
Hi Jeff, have you ever try using color glass instead of white?.
Hi Martha. Yes I have, but wasn't impressed with it. The image did show, but not enough contrast for me. Maybe on a much lighter colour than I had would be fine.
Fabulous. I've been wanting to do this for a long time. What printer is best?
Hi. If you go to fired-on.com they have all the details in their FAQ.
Jeff, could you please send me the list of the laser printers with toners that work for portraits.

Hi! I am very interested in trying this, I have a question. Does it have to be a laser printer or can you use a home printer with black ink?
It has to be a laser printer, and the toner must contain iron. So only certain laser printer makes and models work. This page on our website has more3 details. rocketroseart.com/laser-decal-paper-faqs/
Can you do this technique with colored prints?
Hi Gerri. Not with this decal paper. The sepia look is it. You can get single coloured decal paper. I've done a video on this. But you can only cut it into as design. Can you use any laser decal paper or does it have to be special for the kiln?
It has to be fusible decal paper. It burns off in the kiln and leaves behind the iron from the toner.
I am wondering if a clear coat of powder would seal the pic n or would it just burn off in firing
I don't know if that would stop fading that occurs with more heat work. Probably worth a test.

If the printer is correct, then check the temp. Firing high will fade the result, though rarely will it disappear.
Hi Jeff …was a printer issue!
I can't find any contact info for them. I tried emailing but a form pops up thats not compatible with my programs.
They have their email address on the site so no problem with me giving it to you - info@fired-on.com. Hope that helps.
Where do I find the firing schedules?
Hi Gerri. They are in a post on my blog - rocketroseart.com. Do a search there and you should find the relevant post.
