Hmmm, yeah after listening to all of the tracks, I unfortunately have to agree with what everyone else is saying. When I first discovered M Machine, I instantly fell in love. The more I explored their expansive two albums, the more I felt comfortable putting feelings and energy into liking this group. No song sounded the same. Every song brought a new element to the table and each and every one ultimately impressed me. Seeing M Machine live was one of the greatest experiences ever for me. Seeing them with my best friend, living it up singing our hearts out to the songs; Definitely a fantastic experience.
This.. Not so much. Each and every song seems to have the same overtone, which is fine... I know metropolis 1 & 2 were telling a story and I know they wanted to mix it up, but what isn't fine is that everything I seem to have enjoyed and that I took for granted, such as the constant changes, not knowing what to expect, the interesting lyrics, the expansiveness, and the overall feeling of the songs seems to have disappeared. I'm not sure if M Machine sold out, gave up, or just got over what they were doing before, but I really hope they go back to wowing me.
I'll always be a fan and I'll always support them and their decisions, but I definitely won't be purchasing this EP. Better luck next time, for both of us.
