I found my own fix (for windows 11 laptop) First of all restart ur laptop or force restart it and then when ur in the login page click the power button in bottom right then u will see the options to shut down or restart so first hold shift on your keyboard and click restart KEEP HOLDING SHIFT WHILE ITS RESTARTING. After it starts up, you will see a blue screen, click troubleshoot then click the second options and click restart on the bottom right then it will go back to the blue screen with lists of options you want to perform now click F5 and it will restart into safe mode ( as a shortcut just go in safe mode) when ur in safe mode im sure you will see your screen, so run regedit and navigate to WINLOGON as mentioned in the video and make sure the value is explorer.exe (if it is just backspace clear it and write it again explorer.exe and click ok and restart the safe mode and your problem should be fixed.
In case someone is down in the comment section looking for an answer, I had a problem where my screen was black from startup, no buttons worked or anything. All you have to do after starting (even though the screen is black) left click once, type your password and hit enter Somehow this was the solution for me and I just spent 2 hours looking for a solution I ended up finding myself
This works, If you can't access Task manager, Hold left shift and restart your computer while on the login screen until you are in the recovery console. Go to troubleshoot>advanced options>startup settings>restart , When the text is bigger press F4. This will put your computer into safe mode. Press the windows key and scroll all the way down to the windows system folder and inside that is task manager. EDIT: Try to leave your black screen still for 2-6 hours, It should be back to normal desktop as it worked for me. The black screen is caused most likely by updates or overloaded storage, So clear some files on your computer. (I'M NOT SAYING THE METHODS IN THE VIDEO DON'T WORK)
for my system I had to use regedit to disable Appx service. System boots normally after setting appx to disabled. So navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ and Set AppXSvc 'start' value to 4. What seems to be happening is that some service stalls out the boot process causing the user profile to load very slowly. It will load after 10-15 minutes. So if it is not AppXSvc then some other service is stalling out: use process of elimination to figure it out. Good luck!
