    Good analysis of the watch. I have the Fenix 5X. But I like what I see from the Instinct 2. It seems to be like a Fenix 7 without the advanced mapping.

    Very useful review. I‘ve had the watch (s model) for about three weeks and agree on all the points. But I should have gone for the Fenix or Epix 2. The button-based navigation is to cumbersome for me. But you do get used to it after a while, but I keep missing a touch screen. Overall the Instinct 2 is a great value watch considering how many features you get.

      Agreed, and the 2S is very light weight and small, making it easy to wear for all types of activities!

      Well... if you do really need navigation, you just don't buy this watch...

    Another great video. How would you rate it against the 945? Both seem to be pretty comparable, the 945 with a few more features, the instinct 2 with the new sensor. If you look around the 945 can be found for roughly the same price. I’m currently using a 630 with chest strap for the running dynamics, which is fine mostly, but I’m looking for better battery life and the climbpro looks cool. Plus I’m fed up waiting for the 955 😂

    everybody comment for this display, but the instinct is a tactical watch, like a g-shock from casio.

    Good review, with loads more features than the original. But isn't Strava Segments feature missing?

    Great video...!
    Coming from the Fenix 5x I'm very interested in the workout suggestions feature. Does the watch suggest strength based or other type workouts at times or strictly running type workouts.? And can those running type workouts be competed on a treadmill if running outside isn't possible?

    For the price range, isn't the Coros Apex 46mm or even the Pro a better option? Saphire glass, titanium bezel, colour screen.
    What i see on the instinct 2, that pulls me is the VO2 Max with Trail running, and the Garmin Ecosystem itself. Some tests i've seen, even the GPS Accuracy is better in the Coros Apex.

    With what other garmin model (or other brand) in this price range would you compare this watch for a more runners focus? Thanks

    Hi! Thanks again for great video! 💪🏼 have you tested the battery life with spo2 sensors on? Just bought this and have not yet tested it that much. But my current battery level is 28d, if spo2 is turned on for the nights: 8 days. And if night and day mode is on, only 4 days..? 😳 not sure why I would need to measure my spo2 all day and night, but that big drop on standby time surprised me... 😅

      Hey (Mike here), yes, the SpO2 does unfortunately drain the battery in a noticeable way. It's the same on all Garmin watches that offer it. Hopefully Garmin will get to a point where it's less of a drain

    • @dri1811ya
      @dri1811ya 2 роки тому

      I have the 245. One thing you can do is set your default sleep time to just a few hours during the night, say midnight to 3am. Then the SPO2 sensor only runs for these 3 hours.

      @@dri1811ya Ok, thanks for the tip! I will try this! I don't remember my last fenix watches drained battery this much if the spo2 is on all night. But of course they are different type of watches. Or I just might remember wrong 😅 spo2 is kind of basic metrics and if using it drops standbytime by 20days, I think it should be mentioned somewhere when advertising "unlimited" battery... I'll manage with this, just surprised me a little bit...
