- I tried a bit different approach this time. Theory is important but to be able to perform it, we need to practice it. Not only practice, we need to automate the performance. To do so, we need our muscles to execute the technique automatically and correctly. Hope this helps.

I really appreciate your guides. I was able to go to a tournament in St Louis this past weekend and got a pretty good Kaeshi-do off as a result of my sensei's training me and your explanation of the angle and height of my elbow in a previous short video. The way you break things down allows me to reframe how I'm considering what my sensei are attempting to teach me, so I'm really grateful for that.
Thanks for your comment and you're welcome, @matthewsingleton7122! 😄 Oh! Nice! I am so happy too! That is exactly what I want to be. A bridge between you and your sensei. Sometimes you need a little support from someone outside to fully understand what your sensei is saying 👍
This is great information. Thank you! Tell me, to practice left stance, you would switch guard, and strike the opponent's left side, correct?
Your videos are so helpful, there is no Kendo school around me, i’m training myself and I’m going to compete, probably will get annihilated but oh well,
I'm glad to hear that my videos are helpful to you, @roddangerson2046! 😄Good to have a goal. You will need good guidance to participate in a match. Hopefully, you can find a good dojo even if you need to drive a bit. Hopefully, you can go there once a month or every 3 months. Good luck!
Dude, I really struggle with distance. I always feel off after I land my attack, going past with zanshin. I only ever try it as a hiki waza, it's super embarrassing 🤫
Dude, keep going at it! You will get it some day!
👍👍!!
😊👍, @luisabreu4396! 😄
