Thank you for sharing - He was a good friend - Haraldur Diego, we flew together in Iceland - and what a legend he was. His view of the World was inspiring. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks bro! Sorry you didn't make an appearance. In the end I decided to cut out all in plane / people shots and focus on just the landscapes. Maybe next time...
Chris, this is a masterpiece! Incredible footage and profesionalism from you, I'm absolutely speechless. This and the Dreamwalkers project in the Faroe Islands are top notch. I don't understand how is it possible that you have only 30k subscribers. Let me know if you're coming to Romania, I need to buy you a couple of drinks. Cheers!
How is it possible for such a thing to happen? You posted the Dreamwalkers project in the Faroe Islands, I had a trip after a couple of months over there. Now, you posted this from Iceland, I have a trip coming up to Iceland in a couple of weeks. 🙈
@@chriseyrewalker Stark, solche Aufnahmen gehören auf eine Kinoleinwand. Dreamwalkers war ja schon echt Klasse aber bei einer Naturdoku in dem Stil wäre ich auch sofort dabei.
If you upload in different aspects (so not a 16:9 with black bars embedded in the video), then UA-cam will automatically adapt the player height to the videos aspect ratio. This was 2.39:1 btw.
Beautiful shots, however there is some excessive warping going on. I wonder if less rolling shutter would do the trick (how about xt4?), been dealing with this myself lately. I guess carrying around a Ronin could work too...
thanks! The warping is a result of post-processing stabilisation in Resolve. Some of the footage is rather shakey as I was holding my URSA G2 half out of the tiny plane window (4 seater, so nowhere near enough space for a Ronin) whilst trying to frame a shot. Trust me, there's significantly less rolling shutter on the G2 than on any other mirrorless / photo camera.
spatnaspolecnost I seriously doubt it. 4k 120fps at a decent quality will produce too much heat and the sensor won’t handle it for very long, if at all.
Absoluting stunning Chris, do you mind me asking who the flight was with and how easy is it to film through the glass as I found that with the helicopter it was not easy to get great photos
Thanks Ingo. It’s all in the description. The flight was with Haraldur (@volcanopilot on Instagram) we opened the windows and I squeezed my URSA out of the tiny gap. It was tough to frame shots and unbelievably cold. But oh so worth it!

Chris - you have seriously upped your game. Incredible isn't a strong enough description. Thank you.
Thanks Richard!
Nice! Wouldn't it be nice to be able to fly like the birds.
You do make epic films. Really nice to watch. Thank you.
Most therapeutic 3 mins of my life
Wow!
Thanks for the inspiration, you are my role model
Very impressive and didn't trigger my vertigo at all.
Chris I have enjoyed your photos for years, the cinematic adds so much drama ... huge, truly enjoyable mate 10/10

Another one of your wonders 🔥
Danke Felix ✌🏼 you know the magic Iceland produced all too well.
Magical, magnificent, what beautiful images ....
It's tough to capture bad images of Iceland...
Love the professionalism you put into your videos. Scenery and music are best on UA-cam. Always looking for your latest uploads. 👍👍👍👍
We should safe up the word "epic" for things like this. Woah, absolutely nice, actually doesn't need any words
Danke Tom!
Spectacular Chris a really compelling piece of work that holds you all the way through.
Thanks Michael ;-)
love it 😍
Danke Moritz ✌🏼
Spectacular 👍
Fantastic Chris, really enjoyed viewing, amazed this was through an aeroplane window!
Thanks Andy. It was a small 4 seater plane and we actually opened the windows to shoot. There's only one shot in the film that is through the window.
OMG! Breathtaking! I just can imagine how much effort and planning was dedicated for this little masterpiece. Stunning!
Magnifique👍
Merci!
Extraordinary. Peaceful. Thank you
Thank you, great work. Thanks for showing. Impressiv work.
Just wow.
Love the video! My way of supporting is to watch UA-cam ads to the end! Haha
Thanks! Much appreciated :-)
just stunning!
Wow....What a place, Nicely done
Thanks!
Awesome man! Looking forward to the next flight. ✌🏻

Watch it 4 times already.

I’ll take note if that haha. But thanks!!
Lovely video! Iceland is surreal, magical country!
Thanks! And yes, Iceland truly is a different kind of place. No words for it.
What an amazing video Chris! Very good job!
Thanks John!
Loved it. 👍🏼👍🏼
Like being on a different planet.
Very much felt like it too! Absolutely breathtaking landscape!
Such a beautiful place! Splendid work too!
Thanks Stéphane! Difficult to mess up footage of a landscape like this really...
Well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Ed!
Add me the chorus - this was epic and sublime.

Absoluter Wahnsinn Chris!

great stuff there! how did you change it to 21:9 ratio?

Cool, ok I understand. Hopefully GH6 will come out with 120fps 4k and global shutter :D

@@chriseyrewalker you think the 4k 120fps will stay exclusive to the big cameras for a while?
So micro 4/3 is inadequate, is it?
It definitely isn’t. Each system has its place.
I couldn't agree more. All the best for your future projects.
