I have never heard such an emotional performance of this prelude. It's very simple but it's filled with so many emotions that not everyone is able to comprehend. And Seong-Jin Cho is one of the few that can make something truly wonderful out of something inconspicuous. He just feels Chopin.
@신비160 To be perfect is not to be creativity, if you want to play wonderful you need to be imperfect, because when you play the piano, you don't play the Chopin's music, you play your own music.
Of all the all the performances of this prelude, this one strikes me as the most perfect and the most sublime. The softness of the bars that begin at 0:30 is so unique from among the other performances, and he plays them so perfectly even at such a low volume. Just listen to how the chords soften away between 0:48 and 0:55 - it's so sublime.
E a Polônia tem toda a razão de ter orgulho deste gênio musical! Quando estive em Paris, fiz questão de colocar rosas no túmulo de Chopin...que descanse em paz.❤❤❤

It's the most perfect performance I've ever heard of. It's very hard to play this heavy song properly, but Seong jin Cho did it casually. I think he was already a great pianist.

dude, i'm not a huge fan of rap either but you did them dirty here. sure some rappers are crap but that can be said of any genre. the good rappers are some of the greatest lyricists and rhythmists in history, and put the greatest poets to shame. have you heard the way a good rapper uses alliteration, assonance and internal rhyme? it's mindblowing. honestly i think it's subtle racism that makes us as a society discount how much intelligence, wit and artistry goes into rap.
We speak of 'becoming that from this' instead of 'this becoming that' more in the case of what does not survive the change-'becoming musical from unmusical', not 'from man'-but there are exceptions, as we sometimes use the latter form of expression even of what survives; we speak of 'a statue coming to be from bronze', not of the 'bronze becoming a statue'. The change, however, from an opposite which does not survive is described indifferently in both ways, 'becoming that from this' or 'this becoming that'. We say both that 'the unmusical becomes musical', and that 'from unmusical he becomes musical'. And so both forms are used of the complex, 'becoming a musical man from an unmusical man', and 'unmusical man becoming a musical man'.
Does any one know why he played the last third and second bar with bit of finger vibrations on the keys played? Did the movements make any difference in sound? thanks
Believe it or not it's actually a thing pianists do in order to channel your emotion into the technique better instead of playing mechanically just because the piano key only goes up and down. When playing the piano you can't restrict yourself to the limitations of the instrument, you gotta convey your emotions through any means necessary so even if it might seem silly at first, vibrato definitely helps to sustain tonal phrasing and not restrain your passion while playing.

Very easy to play, Very hard to be perfect
I’m totally agree this opinion.
"if you aim for perfection you can achieve excellence"
Yes
No Osu, it is not very easy to play. It is definitely one of the easier numbers but nothing from Chopin can be classified as "very easy to play".
@신비160 To be perfect is not to be creativity, if you want to play wonderful you need to be imperfect, because when you play the piano, you don't play the Chopin's music, you play your own music.

Une tristesse bien douce , il faut écouter les dernières pièces de Liszt pour aller au-delà des larmes .

Za kwadrans wrócisz i nad wanną
Parasol swój powiesisz Anno
Nie dokręciłaś wody w kranie
A tu mój list I rynien łkanie
I ty czytając będziesz łkać
O jedenastej pójdziesz spać
Przed snem zażywszy waleriankę
I już weselszy wstaniesz rankiem
O jakżeś inny był przed laty
Gdy pierwsze mi zrywałeś kwiaty
I jakby zaklęć twoich skutkiem
Burza szalała nad ogródkiem
Śmiało mnie wiodłeś między głogi
Młody namiętny i ubogi
Gdy z ramion naszych plotłeś splot
Za każdym kocham ryczał grzmot
I błyskawicy płonął knot
Gdyś na me usta usty spadał
Lecz już nie mówmy o tornadach
Dziś próżno na prywatnym forum
Czekam na burzę i na piorun
Piorunów żądać o biedaczka
Od siąpiącego kapuśniaczka
