I heard Maurice l IIVE in 1975. I have the " chills" today in 2021 from listening to the greatest who EVER PLAYED the TRUMPET!!!!! At age 67, I still am breathless and inspired to play Trumpet. Michael McClary, retired Professor of Trumpet, Georgia Perimeter College, Dunwoody Campus, Dunwoody, Georgia, USA.
Really great to know about that. He is the best! Always I’m listening he’s sound to and trying to play my best inspired by the music of the great Maurice.
I have always wondered what happened to Maurice' s right eye? Why did he wear the " Dark glasses"?? Was it Glaucoma; a stroke, or God- forbid Cancer? Michael McClary, Professor of Trumpet, Georgia Perimeter College, Dunwoody, Georgia, USA (2021).
i had a vinyl album of his music. in the bio it said his lung and cheek strength was enough to blow up a 30 pound car tire. do you suppose that was true??? some lung power for sure. thank for this doc.
