Your right you remove the intake manifold to get to it. Sounds like the oil sensor most ive seen though read all the way high when they are in need of replacement…Hope you figure it out man these machines are fun 👍🏼 sick vette and bumper is dope!
Was it your thrust bearing that was damaged ? Due to engine play in the crankshaft ? And how did your car stay after it being repaired ? I have the same problem I think on my C7 zo6.
Did you ever figure it out? I am having a similar issue with a 2012 Grand Sport. When I start the car, the guage maxes out, but as I drive it drops. At idle I get a low pressure warning but as I accelerate it builds back up. No lifter noise or any odd noises, just a crazy guage.
Oil sending unit or pressure switch is a possibility. An oil pump going out on a chevy is almost unheard of. Especially at barely broken in mileage. Only other thing it could be would be crank bearings. Again, at your mileage, impossible.
Same issue it was the oil pressure sensor you can reach the sensor with your hand behind the intake manifold under the winshield cowl just use the rachet squivels to reach it..
By far the best looking vette on the net!!! We need more videos!!
Ill start making more
Ended up being a spun main bearing. rebuilt whole engine ! wasn't cheap but its running great now
Spun main bearing? I'm having low oil pressure thinking tht might be my issue just had something fix and still showing low pressure 🤔
Wasn't cheap? How much?
How much did it cost?

swapping it out today ! I'll report back if it fixes the issue
Any other sounds when it was running? I recently had a oil pump fail and gave me low oil chim/light. Root cause ended up being a bad lifter.

I’m having the same issue on my c6 z06. did you figure out the issue?
@@maximilianomendoza8731 yes. It was the oil pump bypass valve inside the pump. Replaced the pump and and all was well.

When you had the issue did the oil pressure get stuck or was it fluctuating up and down?
@@maximilianomendoza8731 It would fluctuate up and down.
