Stricter selective licensing laws passed on December 23rd could significantly impact landlords and tenants. Councils now have more power to charge landlords licensing fees without requiring government approval. These costs, often hundreds of pounds, could push more landlords out of the market and drive up rents for tenants.
In this video, I break down the new rules, share my own experience with selective licensing in London, and explore how these changes tie into the Renters’ Rights Bill set for 2025. Discover what this means for you and how to navigate the challenges ahead. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share!
