I absolutely love this!! I have searched all over for an answer to my big, loopy ends. I had just about given up and put tassels on my scarves. Thank you SO much!!!
OMGosh! Thank you for this tutorial! I am new to loom knitting and was upset with my first try, as the first end of my piece was loose. This tutorial makes things so much easier! Thank you again!!
Great video, you are good at this. You can see everything clearly and you explain very well also. I love this method and bookmarked it, will use it for sure. Thanks.
Love your video. It really helped me a lot❤️. Can you please tell me what stitch you used to make the example scarf in the video. I would love to make one. Thanks 😊
This is outstanding! I've been searching the web looking for answers to the big loopy cast on edge. I am a huge fan and share some more of your tricks of the trade :-) Knitting Board needs to showcase you and this cast on because their instructional video is garbage
Just a general note to people worried about the cast off, don't worry. The reason you need a right cast on is because the cast off is typically tighter. This compensates for that
I love the grey piece with what looks like squares. What stitch is that, and do you have a tutorial? I’m a beginner trying new things while on lockdown
Only thing to be careful of is when working back to the first pegs, that the loops ON the pegs don't become so loose that they pull off when you are pulling the center ones tight.
So your saying to do this same method with whatever stitch I am doing? I don’t switch after making this first row right? I just start my stitch of choice and pull it tight until the end?
I made a cast off video. It can be used for figure 8. Just click on my channel and you'll see it. I also just made a new cast on video that's easier than this one.
OMG! I wish I had seen this last night when I kept restarting a scarf, lol. You've saved me from future frustration, many thanks!!! I'd like to subscribe to your videos, is there a way to do that on UA-cam? I'm new to all of this. Your instructions are Soooo clear and useful.😃👍🏼

I am so glad I found this! I'm going to unpick the scarf I had started and redo the cast on, because I was already frustrated with the loose end row..

This works great with a figure-8 cast-on, too.

you should tell them that. They don't return my calls. Haha!

I understand the cast off is typically tighter, but will the cast on and cast off ends match?
THANK YOU, You have saved my sanity xx
Oooh girl YES! Saved!
Excellent thank you!!!!
This is so nice. Thanks for sharing!
How are you stabilizing your loom? Thanks

Can this stitch also be used for bind off?
Can this be done on a round loom some how? I don’t like the loops on hats and I can’t figure out how to tighten them up without ruining my work.
So your saying to do this same method with whatever stitch I am doing? I don’t switch after making this first row right? I just start my stitch of choice and pull it tight until the end?
Brilliant.
how do we bind off so that the ends look similar? Is there a video for that by chance? I do love this video and cast on method.
I made a bind off video. It's on my list.
Kimberly Carrigan
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent! Thanks!
Brilliant, thank you!
Gracias
I like the look. How would you cast off double knitting (figure 8)?
I made a cast off video. It can be used for figure 8. Just click on my channel and you'll see it. I also just made a new cast on video that's easier than this one.
Will we still need the anchor yarn?

Darlene Moore, yeah. Make a UA-cam account and then hit the subscribe button. Then you will be able to find me again whenever you want.
Kimberly, do you have a cast off for this same technique?
Thank

Maronka55 , I made a video for cast off. Just look through my videos. It's not exactly the same as the cast on, but it is very similar.
NICE!
