Hi Crystal 😊🔮 Wonderful reaction and analysis to Led Zeppelin's In Through The Out Door Side One. At the end of your broadcast you mentioned it's very sad that the journey of Led Zeppelin will be coming to a close when in actuality it was coming apart at the seams. It's just, John Bonham, the drummer had a very very bad alcohol problem and drank himself to death which then indeed ended Led Zeppelin. This side one shows the eclectic nature of the band which shows many that Led Zeppelin was indeed the greatest rock and roll band of all time. There have been interviews with each of the members and to a man they consider the band not purely rock and roll but more of rhythm and blues with a rock and roll spin. Heavenly influenced by music that was coming from the United States from the record company, Chess, out of Chicago to The Memphis sound, the Mississippi Delta sound, the New Orleans sound. Robert Plant, the vocalist and lyricist, was heavily influenced by blues and you can see that in his recordings after Led Zeppelin which would be a very interesting dive into as well as Jimmy Page's work after Led Zeppelin. John Paul Jones primarily produced while also contributing to many tracks of other artists. I know we have one more side of In Through The Out Door to go so let's enjoy that and say we have enjoyed Led Zeppelin for all it's worth and especially enjoying your reaction and analysis of this very very multi-layered and exquisitely triumphant group of four master musicians at their very best. I will choose South Bound Suarez as my favorite for side one. Thank you thank you for your beautiful compositions 😊 I like your new UA-cam profile picture. 👍 God bless you 🔮❤️💐🌹 Continued prayers for peace happiness joy good health strength stamina contentment and satisfaction. Have a great day and as always take it easy 😊🔮👍🙏🤲💐❤️💪 PS Yes... let's enjoy our two moons. Your pink butterfly outfit is cute 👍
Wow that is really devastating to hear! Such a tragic end for such an incredible genius. Thank you for providing your insights. I definitely have to agree with their assessment of genre placement. South Bound is currently in my top 2! Love it so very much, just behind Fool In the Rain. I appreciate you very very much Kevan. I am praying for your health and happiness and safety. Have the most spectacular night 💕
@@CrystalMarieShannonGood morning 🔮🌄😊 🌅 You are as bright as the morning sun and I'm very thankful for you😊👍 I did have a beautiful night's rest after sending my message to you... I believe it's the Good Vibes 😊 Your reply is so precious and you are such a treasure. I would like to put in a request for a journey with the band Chicago. Their very first album came out in 1967 and they are still recording and touring today. Yes, they have changed members over the years. Their sound is very unique and I believe as a technical and lyrical and instrumentalist reaction and analysis you will like them. Have a great day and as always take it easy 😊🔮👍🙏🤲💐💪❤️🌹
Kevan!!!! We have a super exciting video out today! I hope with all my heart you enjoy this one!! 💚🫶✨🖤🦇 sending you my love! ua-cam.com/video/lIBfLWjzoek/v-deo.htmlsi=DyYA0HZBDese64N1
At the time there was some unhappiness about this album from Zeppelin fans but I always liked it. The band had previously integrated different styles into their music so I didn't see this as any different. I think the album has been appreciated a lot more as time has gone on. Great drumming from Bonham, John Paul Jones added a lot of great keyboard parts. Unfortunately it ended up being their last studio album. Coda was released after Bonham's death but that is really a compilation of unreleased songs as they owed the record company one more studio album per their contract. Have a great day, Crystal!
I am sooooo glad that with time this album was able to receive the love it so deserves! Very tragic to hear the unfolding of events after. Thank you so much for joining me on this chaotically wonderful journey through LZ! 🖤 I appreciate you very much Ed! I hope you are ready for tomorrow’s video! It’s one for the books!!!! I’m very excited about it!
I know that Hot Dog is mostly a joke, but it’s also a genuinely great Honky Tonk groove… The fact that the greatest rock band of all time put out this one crazy country song just because it was a genre they hadn’t done yet is something truly special.
LZ dropped this when I was in eighth grade and while it wasn't quite the hard rock my buddies and me expected, we still dug it just the same. Jimmy Page plays such melodic guitar solos. "All of My Love", "Fool in the Rain", "Hot Dog". We were crushed when Bonzo died soon after. I can only imagine the sort of fantastic world music they would have made in the eighties had things gone differently.
This album contains many genres and styles. Rock, Reggae, Samba, Country. My favorite on this side ( right now) is South Bound Suarez. Although I vacillate between that and Fool in the Rain. Great reaction as always, sweet Crystal. Wishing you and everyone a wonderful day! ❤❤❤🙏🙏. 🎹🎼🔥😊. Btw… I love your pink theme 💕
Both such great selections! At the moment my favorite is Fool in the Rain as well! Sending you sooooo much love thank you so my marvelously wonderful Marissa! You are a blessing 💕💕💕🤍
The opening track, "In the Evening" uses a guitar device known as the "Gizmotron", which was invented by English rock musicians Kevin Godley and Lol Creme from the band 10CC.
So happy you got here Crystal! In Through The Out Door is definitely underrated. Just goes to show how unbelievable LZ was, this is like their 6th or 7th most popular album and it's full of bangers. Fool in the Rain is my all time favorite LZ song. Its lietrally the ring tone on my phone LOL. I honestly can't think of another band that had the musical chops to pull that off. (The Who maybe?). The drums are iconic, the guitar, vocals, piano all amazing. Just a wonderful song all around. Great reaction as always!
So glad to have arrived here with you! 🤍 Thank you for taking this wild LZ journey with me! That is definitely my favorite track on this side and i’m so excited to get to side II but i’m not quite ready to wrap up our experience through LZ
Hello, Crystal! It’s bittersweet to reflect on this album from Led Zeppelin, knowing it features the last recordings of the original lineup. Much has been said about the band’s transition to a more mellow-dare I say, pop-influenced-sound. What many critics tend to overlook is the context of 1980. By this time, a lot of rock musicians and those who came of age in the 1960s were starting to settle into new realities-marriages, families, and the responsibilities that come with them. Suddenly, those things that once seemed far-fetched, like owning a home or managing finances, took precedence. Yes, being on the cover of “Rolling Stone” was a nice badge of honor, but it didn’t hold the same weight as it once did. My favorite track from this album has to be “All Of My Love.” It’s a stunning tribute to Robert Plant’s son, filled with emotion and poignancy. It’s truly a shame they couldn’t continue to create music with John Bonham, but what an incredible legacy they left in their wake. I love your insights, Crystal! Keep shining! 🤗❤️🎶
Thank you for sharing your vastly extensive knowledge! You provide excellent insights! I am so impressed with your ability to be so well versed in the history of so many different bands! ✨
That samba breakdown is something else. Yes, Robert Plant was greatly influenced by Elvis. They even met in 1973. Please do Coda too. I realize it’s not their typical studio album since it was released after Bonham died but it’s still a great album.
I bought this album when it came out and have always loved it. I like your analysis and enthusiasm for Zeppelin makes me feel that the next generations behind mine still get it which is cool.
Hi Crystal 😊🔮 I shall listen to Led Zeppelin 's In Through The Outdoor Side One and I will be back to enjoy your outstanding reaction and analysis. Until then... blessings to You, Good Health to You and as always Take it Easy 😊👍💪❤️🙏🤲🔮🎃
Jimmy Page's addictions were wearing on him at this time and John Paul Jones ended up taking the lead musically throughout. Side one has the best of this, side two, the other side. All My Love was Robert's tribute to losing his young child in an accident.
Greatly underrated by Zep fans just because it draws from a different palette of sounds. Bassist John Paul Jones had a heavier influence on the arrangements. Side 2 has some real gems. Carouselambra is an all-time classic Zep epic.
The earth has lots of moons. Usually, only one is visible with the naked eye but that doesn't mean the others aren't there. Nice extra moon info anyway. Thanks! This is a great album but you're right, it is underrated, at least in my opinion. Looking forward to the end.
Great album, just not QUITE as great as their others, perhaps! Robert Plant revered Elvis, as did the band. The two iconic singers traded notes on musical loves and influences (Plant was a walking encyclopedia of music) for about three hours one time in Elvis's hotel suite. Alas. some production mess up or something made Robert occasionally sound murky af, like he was singing through a fish-tank filter!
@@joescott8877 Oh wow! that’s so cool! Almost like two different worlds colliding! So musically magical! And it sounds like you and Plant have something in common! You have so much insightful knowledge about the music world! Thank you for sharing this with me!
You honestly believe Physical Graffiti is Zeppelin's "last" good album? Did you forget about the kick-azz jam's on the Presence album like "Achilles Last Stand," "Nobody's Fault But Mine," "Tea For One," etc...? 🤔 Just saying... ++Peace & Rock n' Roll 4 Your Soul My Friend++ 🤘😜🤘

Sleeper greatness track: I'm Gonna Crawl. Sleeper great track 2: Carouselambra.
Plenty of great songs on this and Presence in my opinion.
No bad album from the original 8!

No, "Physical Graffiti" is.
Not sure what it's rated. I know it's always been my favorite Zeppelin album...
For over 40 years i have tried to like this album, don't get me wrong it's still better than most bands just to much of a pop feel to me.
