you can also use a reciprocating saw to just cut the nails and pound the nubbed nails out! i did that last summer. it allows you to get some larger pieces(if necessary)
Don’t know wood price where you guys hail from but ifs just a backing particle board or MDF are much cheaper options. I wonder if you fit it over if you wouldn’t use a router to make a recess of some kind on the pallet plank edging to add some depth
Hey heather i love the version with the straight cut wood... would you mind telling me what the measurments of your longest individual pieces were ? I know they get cut of on the edge but... just to have an idea whats a good size...
Hey girl! So fun to hear you are making your own headboard. So I actually made these two headboards to sell and don't have them anymore to check measurements. If I was going to guess I would say about 18 to 20 inches. I hope that helps and good luck with your project!
Wow, Thanks for the detailed instructions on the chevron and herringbone patterns❤️Looks 👍
I cant wait yo do this with my dad and mom for my bed.

Hey Heather, I'm currently doing this right now, going with the herringbone pattern. Did you sand the pieces before laying them down to glue?
Hey, sorry to get back to you so late😬. I sanded everything after it was glued a put together. How'd your headboard turn out?!
Would love to see how this was attached to wall because I'm a complete novice
I made my own french cleat, but you can purchase one from a hardware store. That is the most sturdy option in my opinion.
how did you attach behind the bed?
French cleat hardware
This I like
What size of bed is this for?
This is for a queen or full bed. Our bed in the video is a queen.
It's good to see the WoodPrix has new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.
