All those hoours and hours of practice with wrecks alongside the highways has paid off at last - you really know how to work the angles of winching a car up onto your truck!
I just want to tell you, thank you for your willingness to share that you stopped smoking. You smoking 4 packs a day gave me the will to quit and it's been 37 days. I can't believe how much better I feel.
Beautiful car, as a whole! Can't beat a classic like that, or any vehicle of this age! Great find! Side note, I have metal model (not sure of the scale, off the bat) of a 1940's Chevrolet Flatbed truck! Awesome video!
Had a 39 master delux as a daily driver back in the 80's, man that car drank some gas lol silly question but what kind of snakes do you have there? We don't have any in New Zealand so i guess we're kinda lucky in some ways
You probably dont care but if you're bored like me atm then you can watch all of the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my brother recently xD
I remember the video where we first saw this and the other cars. I think it's great that you got them. Circumstances suck, but they will be saved. Thanks!
I really enjoyed watching how you got that car out of there. Well done! This one has some really good bones and should be purring like a kitten soon, I'll be watching!
Jonathan you treat that car nice my first car was a 39 Sports Sedan. When I turned 16 in 1956 a farmer down the road had a car he had bought new 64,000 miles looked and drove new I paid $125 for it and drove it till Uncle called.
I hate to hear of any one's passing but I think the right person got the cars at least the ones you could get I don't know how many of them you got but you got them all they've definitely in the right hands
I remember you digging around and plans made to make it run and there was excitement in your voice. You don't lack for stuff to do, maybe put the spare tire on since thats its job and I know you will not chop the top and put bags with a LS engine crap when that 216 took many a passenger or at least the driver a good 72000 miles. I really doubt there is anything wrong with the oil unless you'ns got oil worms. It is a really solid car and it might take half as long to clean as it will take to fix. It's only old once then it takes on a new life. I wouldn't be afraid to do a interior restore and of course fix frame and rot outs but otherwise, its a driver. That blue was so pretty when new and since it was so dark in there, a lot of the paint may still exist. Good friends leaving something to remember him by.... I hope he ain't the guy that owned that big acreage that had a little of everything on it as he was getting up there. Good for you Jonathan
7- 25 -39 That’s 80 years old and so am I wow that is so cool. Yep Hoya Hoya Gramps on the couch. Thanks for the video John W .send it to sun city Az . Pronto . Lol
I have been watching your videos for a while now and your content is top notch and just so dam interesting. I don't know how you don't have 7 million subscribers!? One of the best channels out there. The range of content is impressive, the honest and lack of drama style is very appreciated. But my favorite point is your real world, "I will do this as cheap as I can because I don't like the price of this or that and i can make it myself". I would give you a dream shop if i could just so you had more room for more old equipment to help build more awesome stuff. I wish idiot people wouldn't have opened their blowholes about your little drag car, thus turning your off on making videos on it. I was very interested in your build of that car. This kind of channel RIGHT HERE IS REALITY TV at its realest. Im a big pontiac guy and hoping you eventually build that trans am and also that 62 grandprix. You sir keep doing what you do.
Too bad about the right rear some how I think you can pull it out. Hope you get a frame machine someday. Maybe use a winch if I know you. It amazes me that you can do upholstery.
The first car I remember riding in as a kid was my dads 39 Chevrolet. When I was about 8 years old I would move the car around the farmyard stepping on the starter and peering through the steering wheel to see where I was going. If the car battery was too dead to start my dad would just crank it. Tough old car. Glad you will bring it back to life. Enjoy all your videos, thanks.
This is a car well worth saving Jonathan. Good save. With your fabricating skills you will have the body and frame straightened out nicely. This is a project I am looking forward to watching if you decide to take it on.
Dear Johnathan W.. 👍👌👏 Oh WOW, another fantastic car out of this source. Looks extremely impressive (especially the front). Maybe this is a car that should be restored and painted (in memory of your friend)? Shiny black outside with red interior would look gorgeous. Please kindly allow me to ask again: O.K. you got this new car car inspectir but no Noah any more? Thanks in advance for answering. Again and as always: Thanks a lot for making taping editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck health and wisdom.
Well that's a pretty cool one you done went and found now Jonathan boy I tell you the way you snatch that car out there born I can tell you towed a car or two before
Fantastic team work getting that out Jonathan! I am always amazed at how many old cars you find and rescue. I've been watching your older videos and my hat goes off to you. Thanks for keeping us viewers entertained and passing on your knowledge.
39 Chevies are a pretty classic design. The rear wheels in those old Chevies were not centered in the wheel openings by about 1 1/4". Wonder why they decided to do that??? Anxious to hear this one run !!
My dad once owned this exact model: his Grandpa gave it to him after the back end got burnt up in a fire. Dad pulled the motor from it, and then dumped the remains over a cliff in the bush (as was common back then). Turns out the location is less than two miles from my house, and the car is still there over 65 years later! Hope you fix up that '39; one of my first model kits was a '39 coupe, and always loved the design. Looking forward to watching you drag those Corvairs from that barn too.
"Start 'er up; is the check engine light on, Johnny?" I knew you wouldn't forget about this solid '39 Chev! That's the best year for those old chevys, and you don't see the hump-backs anymore.
This video had ads for a show called "Everything's Gonna Be Okay." So, Jonathan's branched into television? I mean, he looks at the car's damage, & says it's worth saving. This is true for this car. I hope he can get the rest out of that barn before a bird sneezes & it falls down.
WOW going back for more.. If I can remember was there some nice ones outside, round the back of that bar too ? or were they too far gone.. Still a gem of a car coming home now.. congratulations J.
Always loved that body style, no idea why. Good save!
Really Nice find. I love complete cars with all original parts.
All those hoours and hours of practice with wrecks alongside the highways has paid off at last - you really know how to work the angles of winching a car up onto your truck!
Finally go it home, been looking forward to the first start for awhile. ImI'm glad you got the car.
I just want to tell you, thank you for your willingness to share that you stopped smoking. You smoking 4 packs a day gave me the will to quit and it's been 37 days. I can't believe how much better I feel.
Good on you.
Awesome ...keep it up 👍
I quit so i could get custody of my boy who was 2, it worked and hes 16 now with his first car. #NOSMOKES
GREAT FOR YOU!!!!! KEEP IT UP!!!
Fabulous!
Beautiful car, as a whole! Can't beat a classic like that, or any vehicle of this age! Great find! Side note, I have metal model (not sure of the scale, off the bat) of a 1940's Chevrolet Flatbed truck! Awesome video!
The 39 Chevy was one of the purtiest !
Don't mess up that grill !
Dam good job gettin the ole boy out and on the truck sir. If I had the money I would be knocken on your door. Best to you and yours. Be safe. Peace.🇺🇸
Nice ride happy to see a real mechanic get a hold of it, not some parts changer.
What a rescue! Very nice car.
man u are living the dream .....cool car
That could only have been retrieved by an expert (Jonathan) who would know how to finesse that vehicle out of there without taking the building apart.
Had a 39 master delux as a daily driver back in the 80's, man that car drank some gas lol silly question but what kind of snakes do you have there? We don't have any in New Zealand so i guess we're kinda lucky in some ways
Saw some frayed cable there buddy
Getting pretty bad now, been using it hard. I keep new cables in stock.
Glad someone is saving these ole rides an doing something with them...
You probably dont care but if you're bored like me atm then you can watch all of the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Been watching with my brother recently xD
@Jaxton Jerry yea, I have been using instaflixxer for since december myself :)
It takes an excellent tow operator to get a car out of the situation, and an even better mechanic to get it running!
Standing by.
Apparently Jonathan has winched a few cars onto a rollback!! That was tight.
Sir, my cats and I concur.
@@Jim-ie6uf That car needed a CAT scan.
william davidson good one!
You know it's going to be a good recovery when it starts with a chain saw, LOL
I can't wait to see when this is going, I remember the first video you made with this in it. Really happy you finally got it
Jonathan you treat that car nice my first car was a 39 Sports Sedan. When I turned 16 in 1956 a farmer down the road had a car he had bought new 64,000 miles looked and drove new I paid $125 for it and drove it till Uncle called.

you've probably answered before, but is there any reason you don't try pumping the tyres up before dragging them out?
Jonathan: "it's not a problem." For me, it's a big problem.
You need to watch more JW videos to calm yourself down a bit--or find a friend like Jonathan. Power of positive thinking, you know? :^)
What's the "big problem"?
@@scottm.franklinnc7942 doing any kind of the specialist work Jonathon can do. I am only good at cleaning the shop, which I really enjoy!
If the check engine light is on you may have a real issue with that carbecause the check engine light only comes on when something is really bad
I hope you keep this one and fix, paint do the upholstery!
Good deal how many more are there to get. Best get to it before the barn drops. Mess those cars up good
Epic recovery skills there bud. Look forward to the progress.
That car is sweet!!! Man I wish I could find them like that!!!
Keep Rocking!!!
thanks for showing all the rigging and recovery techniques you use. man I'd love to have that car
JW video's always interesting and fun.
What happen to Noah?
All of your projects are so good, but, this one seems to shape up as "special", I just feel at home watching these videos even at 68yr old.

Yeah, I thought this was the one he was planning on driving out of that barn someday. Sometimes things don’t go quite the way you plan tho...
Saweeeeeeeet

Sorry about your friend passing.
Good you could help the family and yourself too getting this ‘39.
It is a juicy one.
Take care, baa
Nice save! Is Noah still with you?
Nice car 🚗 from the 40s

The "cat scan" has been done, so it's good to go.
Very cool car!!!😎👍🏼
I Like It...Good Car...l can't believe what you can do with 1 of those roll back tow trucks
That is a keeper. Can't wait for a first start. I hope you feeling and doing better. That was some fancy pulling.
You can fix it
This is a car well worth saving Jonathan. Good save. With your fabricating skills you will have the body and frame straightened out nicely. This is a project I am looking forward to watching if you decide to take it on.
That 39 Chevy is one of the best yet!
Cars back then seem to be made like trucks

Bring back to life
I would like that black ranchero 63?
Crikey that was an adventure. ..I'd like a pair of those horns for my '38...I recon it got just like that once too

So, you got a catscan on this car, Johnathon? That IS definately going over & above in your dedication. Lol.
This video had ads for a show called "Everything's Gonna Be Okay."

This is true for this car. I hope he can get the rest out of that barn before a bird sneezes & it falls down.
Needs a bath
In 60 years, some future Jonathan will be doing this with a 1999 Impala.
You save another one.good job. Thanks
