    I was introduced to these while in turkey i had no clue what they were but they came out and they looked delicious then i ate them been hooked on it ever since their is a turkish restaurant near me and they do these so i go to that and get a side of these instead of KFC much much better

    Can I use filo pastry cut into triangles if I can't Yufka pastry leaves?

      Technically, yes. We recreated this with Filo pastry recently, but somehow it didn’t taste as great as with (thick) Yufka sheets. Not sure why, I think it somehow turned out a bit too oily.

      @@UnitedCuisines What do you think of a few layer of filo but baked instead of shallow fired to reduce to oiliness. I've searched but there's nowhere selling Yufka Sheets.

    I would like to know what is the difference between those with eggs and those without eggs
    Which one tastes better?

      I liked the one with egg better. Also the cheese doesn’t crumble as much, when coated in egg.
      Lastly, if you have beef tallow, add into the frying oil, it will make the börek even more tasty 😋
