- It's a simple concept, but does it actually work in the real world. Here's my review after testing a Cool Cover for a number of weeks.....

It does work. I’ve had mine for 3 weeks now and in the Texas heat it’s awesome! No more hot seat and it feels like you have AC on your seat. Great product!!!
Right on
Kontour Custom Seats uses a material very similar to this and I love it. They have customized three seats for me before.
Thanks for the vid very helpful. I ordered two for my Honda Africa Twin Adventure sports, I rode from Wales to the south of france the other day and its awsome !
Cool, I was surprised just how effective they are
My knees are not great on long trips. I'm usually standing up on the pegs, stretching my legs out, doing anything to make them "click" and ease some of the ache. I bought one of these to do nothing more than add a bit of padding, but oh my God....the airflow is great, the extra cushion is welcome, but the most incredible thing is the increased circulation from not having your arse stuck rigidly to the seat for hours. 5 long days and 1600 miles round Scorland and back, and I didn't have to stretch out my legs once on my 800 Tiger.....I havnt had that since my mid 20's (20 years ago!!). The most impressive feature of this thing is how the constant micromovemet and multiple tiny points of contact with your posterior keeps the blood flowing found your hips, inner thighs etc, and completely negates knee ache.....I will never again ride a long distance without one of these.....Thanks so much Man Cave for the heads up..I was seriously thinking of cutting down my trip lengths......no more!!
I was a little sceptical of it at first, but as soon as I fitted it I was really suprised just what a difference it made. I'm not getting paid by these guys to promote it, it really does work!
These work very well. I'm happy with mine.
Fantastic no nonsense review 👍
Thanks! 👍
Mmmmm think I’ll give it a go, not just for the sun but the rain to, thanks for the video
Cheers Paul, it really is a very good product.
It looks like a great product, nice to know it works!
I was honestly surprised at what a difference it made
just what Ii need, thank you! Cheers V!
Glad to help!
I got one of these...
Works awesome
2022 road glide
I just purchased a product kind of like this but it doesn’t cover the whole seat. It’s made by badass moto and you just put it where you sit. Same Velcro strap mounting deal though and it has a rubber coating on the underside that’s meant to protect the seat. Comes in three sizes. I just got it for my ktm 690 and tomorrow will be my first test of it. Weird that this video popped up in my UA-cam today. The fact that you like that one makes me hopeful that the one I purchased will work for me 👍
Great - I’ll have a look for the Speedmaster!
the beauty is that its so quick and easy to swap on and off depending on your requirements
Thanks for the vid - great review. I have a Crosstourer, & they do a seat cover for my bike. I wondered about weather the Cool Cover will mark the tank paint finish - where it rubs up against it... Thoughts / comments?
Not a mark on the tank at all
Had exactly the same thought... Time will tell; I've just installed mine.
Do you have a heated seat? Do you take off the cool cover when you use the heated seat or does it work well with it on still?
No I don't have the heated seat. I would hazard a guess that it would be less effective with the cool cover on
Does it protect the seat from cat scratches?
Excellent review! Could you review everything I might purchase, motorcycle or otherwise? 😂 Thank you!
Roy Dusenbury Sure just email me over a list 😉
Could be useful for my Tiger, the engine heat from that is really noticeable! 👍🏻
Worth a try, it makes a difference....
yeah I need one for my Tiger. Did you get one?
Been using Triboseat on my pillion perch for years. Mainly to stop sliding, but with an underseat exhaust it helps prevent my wife's eggs from being fried...
😂 🍳
not simillar in the slightest?
After a year on my bike seat under hot sun - it leaves marks on the seat. Basically what I had was a year old bike with mesh painted on the seat by the sun. Looks like dirt but can't be washed off. A real bummer.
I had the same when I took this off, but a quick wipe down with some colour restorer and the seat was as good as new
Looks interesting. Do you think it would be too abrasive to the actual seat finish?
To and Fro I wouldn’t think so, it doesn’t really move on the seat and it’s not sharp or scratchy.
@@mancavemoto good to know. Thank you Sir
Great product. Would be brilliant over here in Thailand.
I'm sure they would ship out to Thailand
Some shops in Thailand sell something like this, fitted one on my STR, works a treat, paid 160 Bath Khon Kaen province
Can get many sizes in most bike shops for years even Tesco's have them only 200 to 300 baht
Does it compress over time becoming less effective?
No it doesnt seem to, it continues to hold it shape
Website or link to product?
There’s a slink in the description
I just bought one off of eBay for 10.00 but have not used it yet.
How does it work with a heated seat?
Not particularly well to be honest
Waaal I got the wrong size supplied. For my Honda Forza 350 2021 model. It was not the same ID as the ordered one and took over a month to get to me. I have messaged them tonight. Will post their response in due course. Am glad there are some happy customers out there. (aren't there?) Merv Australia......
Cock ups happen i guess Merv, as long as they put it straight, its all good I guess.
Don't notice the difference in the heat but it's good in the rain stops you sitting in a puddle of water
Yep, its not a video that I wanted to produce myself, much better to get a trained expert to explain things
The Tiger Explorer is comfy to about 30 degrees, however as a year-round commuter, have never yet found a solution to pooling water in the crotch/backside area. Going to try this, as well as some goretex overtrousers. Should be cheaper than a new Rukka suit.
The product itself might be good. I say "might" because I've ordered mine more than one and a half months ago and still haven't received it yet. I've tried contacting them in all possible ways (phone, mail, Fb messenger), but they've ignored me completely.
So... yeah... if you fell you shopping experience should be an adventure (paid exclusively by the buyer, of course), go ahead and throw your money at them.
Myself... I seem to have learned a lesson worth £83...
Yep, I have trust issues when products doesn't end up in big store like Revzilla or Amazon or even eBay...
Need I say that I haven't received the product (or a refund) to this day?! The owner of the business contacted me after half a year with some bulls#!t excuses about how busy they were relocating, asked for my bank account for a refund. Haven't heard from him since.
Ended up getting a chinese version for a fraction of the cost. 95% the same thing. So I'm willing to bet he also gets them from China, overinflates the price and then dumps them on whatever snob schmucks fall for it.
@@ludicator What was the name of the Chinese one?
@@eFasser "FREE SHIPPING New Breathable Summer Cool 3D Mesh Motorcycle Moped Motorbike Scooter Seat Covers Cushion Anti-Slip Waterproof". Guess the chinese are yet to figure out how to give cool names to their covers.
@@ludicator thank you!
anyone else have troubles with the link to the company?
its working for me
There are much cheaper alternatives which do the same thing for far less than the £65 asking price. They are also 3D mesh, not fully compressible. Is anyone able to suggest why they wouldn't be as good?
I don't think there is any reason why they wouldn't work as well, assuming the one you get is made of the same material. its the same as anything else, Cool Covers where doing this very early and so they have development costs and from experience i know each cover fits the specific bike very nicely. But once the idea is out there its verys easy to copy, and getting them rattled out from a factory in China is a cheaper option.
UK weather doesn't get that hot........ try riding in 46° now that's when you get swamp ass. 😥
😧🔥 true enough, but if you live in the UK 30 feels the same 😂
I've just purchased these for my 900 triumph gt pro..and I'm afraid it was a complete disaster..the instructions say not to do the velcro strapes up to tight...hence the cover that goes onto my seat was slippy tried to tighten the strapes and it still slips...the passenger one was a complete nitemare to put on really didn't fit that well at all and one of the velcro straps just pulled off the cover very weak. And I couldn't
Fit the passenger seat back on the bike as it wouldn't pop into the fixing point. They are made with plastic resin not rubber....returning mine for a full refund.. ps the velcro strapes are not well made so beware could wear after time and just break
I ride a royal Enfield bullet 500,
RIP...
cooling motorcycle seat cover !
It sure is
£65. U can get them on eBay for £10
Maybe a cheap copy, but not that will perform and last like this.....
@@mancavemoto ye I can imagine that.
@@mancavemoto What KTM was this on? Just bought a 2017 KTM Super Adv S and the seat aint good for me. Considering this or would the best be the single seat replacement (pricy)?
@@Chazaxl Its a 1050 adventure. I found it made quite a difference to the stock seat (which is awful on the 1050) and much much cheaper than a replacement seat obviously.
@@mancavemoto The ebay one is the same stuff as is the amazon ones. touratech also do simillar in a pad. I dont beleive these comapies make the material but import it and modify to fit the cheap stuff is solid i tried it today and very cheap around £5-£10 retail which makes you wonder why it is £65 from this company
Mine crushed after a while
A Cool Covers one? Mine never lost its initial ‘spring’
All these people in the comments owning 15 grand bikes and moaning about £65 for a seat cover. 😂
Ha yep I have to agree
its funny how every other review tells the opposite..... ?
'EVERY' other review? What are you inferring?
@@mancavemoto i checked, 90% says it doesnt do anything. Try urself
I did try it myself! and for me it definitely made a difference. There are copies out there which may look the same but not be made of the same material. I had one on my Ktm 1050 which had big heat problems, and I had one on my Tiger 800. The only downside is that I think it will wear your trousers quicker than not using one as it’s more abrasive
@@mancavemoto ok, now it makes sense. im also looking to take this on my tiger 800 for longer journeys. Trousers ok, but what about the actual seat wear?
No wear to the original seat, but it will need a clean when you take the cool cover off
How can they warrant £60?👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 That’s just taking the micky out of people!! 😡😡 You can get a sheepskin cover for £23 uk 🤷♂️🤷♂️
What if you don’t want a sheepskin cover? And these are fitted for the specific seat.
Views from the Man Cave Because basically they do the same thing but a hell of a lot cheaper 🤷♂️ anyway, same stuff on fleabay for a tenner allbeit longer. Just giving my views incase you get on your high horse? 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Not getting on my high horse at all, just making an observation. I know that sheepskin covers are meant to be very good, but I wouldn’t put one on my bike. My reviews are not about trying to say what’s best, but purely looking at options out there. 👍
I’ve got a fitted sheepskin seat cover for my gsa and it cost about the same to have it made
Just watched another review of this cover that is completely the opposite to this!🫤
Oh, ok which video did you watch?
@@mancavemoto and another bad review…ua-cam.com/video/dkXWNKWrw7A/v-deo.html
@@mancavemoto and another ua-cam.com/video/fdcDIMPUksE/v-deo.html
Well I wouldnt say its bad, but he seemed to concentrate on the effect when the bike is sat stationary in the sun, rather than the airflow when moving. Also the comments section seemed to be offering lots of positive comments about the cover?
and i think the guy in the second review has unrealistic expectations. Nobody would expect it to keep you dry in very heavy rain. All I can say is that it made my riding of the 1050 adventure bearable in hot weather and that bike kicked out oa ton of heat. I also used one on my Tiger 800 and i really liked it.
