Wonderful. My identical twin brother got me once: First time ever up in a small plane for me. We were flying a hawk XP, a 172 with a more powerful engine and constant speed prop. As we went down the run way he held it down way past rotational speed and said “ are you ready to take off” ? Yes, “YOU SURE”? YES! As he led me on and the plane picked up speed. (I wasn’t a pilot yet so had no idea what was going on.). Then suddenly rotated rather forcefully and we went ballistic. Well not quite but it seemed that way. Scared the crap out of me! He smiled at me as we leveled off to a normal climb. “Remember when we went sailing and I was scared and you tipped the boat waaaay over?……………….gotcha back! Ha ha. Oh yes. Brothers. Look out, he’ll get you back! PS. He died at 40 a yr later of cancer. Don’t have my brother but will always have the memories. Love your brother.
I’ll do the same to my husband and my daughter pretty soon:) He doesn’t know that I’m learning to fly the small plane. 7 more months I’ll get my private pilot license. One thing for sure about my husband: he’s a auto mechanic, and I am an automotive engineer. I always wanted to learn how to fly a plane so I’m doing it while my daughter is at school and my husband is at work lol. I love how my pilot instructor teaches me. He’s an excellent instructor with calming manners.
Oh, man! Thats awesome! You must be excellent at keeping a secret and really well organized, as getting your pilots license isn't exactly a small feat that you just go and get on a whim or in a day. Best of luck to you! Hope you enjoy learning to fly and all that comes with the territory!
Well, my guess is they knew he was working on his pilot license or at least was working with planes before (i mean, there must be a reason for them to go in the plane), so he was thinking like "Oh, I guess he can do this". lol
I have seen a lot of videos like this and I wonder if they are not all fake. Seriously, how do you convince people that you're not a pilot when 99.9% of non-pilots wouldn't even know how to start the plane, let alone how to taxi it. And I would think seeing you go through the preflight, checklists and work the radios, the jig would be up right there. And what about the safety briefing? By FAA regs, you are required to give a safety briefing to all passengers before you go up in the air. That would also seem like a dead give away. And lastly, who in their right mind would get into a plane with someone if they didn't think they were a qualified pilot?
In terms of briefing does it has to be done by pilot in command or could it be done by an instructor beforehand. That's the way I would probably do it. Have an instructor say can you taxi the aircraft for me after the briefing and I will meet you over there for the flight and just pretend you've had some experience taxiing.
@ABQsentinel Mine was simple. My friend was briefed by a real pilot. Everything was explained to him. I then turn on my cameras which to him were described as insurance requirements to be on in the aircraft. The pilot he thought was going to take us up told me I could get the plane started while he had to take a phone call and I would jump in the back and zach would just slide over. All this was being planned over the 6 months it took me to get my license. At the time, I had 2 days in the week off from work and would go to my local airport for instruction. Made a disciplined decision to not tell everyone what I was doing. @glennwatson has the right idea.
brother: so is this legal? pilot bro: oh yeah, no problem. brother: have you flown before? pilot bro: nah ...oh, by the way, I am a pilot. surprise. love it.
I would never put my trust in somebody who says that they’re not a pilot or even get any airplane with somebody. This guy is so incredibly trusting of his brother.
What a calm, trusting brother! I'd have been screaming and slapping people! 😂Of course, I'm an only child, married and a mother. We do things like that.
This is great! Getting my private pilot license was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now, I’m starting to use my pilot license to repossess cars and create UA-cam content! 🤘🏻
Just pased my PPL checkride on Saturday. You'll be fine just make sure you study and learn as much as you can with every flight hour. You'll pass no problem!
everytime i see one of these videos when someone surprises their friends -- i am amaze at how calm and non-chalant the passengers are that their buddy just took them up in the air and is likely going to get them killed.
Well this randomly came across my recommendations and thought, why not. Wasn't really paying attention until I heard Fondulac traffic and rwy 36 in the takeoff call, looked up the N number and sure enough. Fondlesac by West Bend Air just south of KOSH. Got my PPL with aviation services in KOSH. Small world. Went to University of North Dakota and went all the way through Commercial, Multiengine, Instrument, added tailwheel and acro for fun. Now I've joined the dark side and fly racing drones. LMK if you want to know more, happy to share! Enjoy the skies!
Recognized that plane almost right away, I have a fair number of hours in 716 out KETB (before they had to move her up to FLD). Congratulations on the fresh new certificate!!
My uncle did this to me when I was like 6 or 7...my dad was in on it...I started crying until we were almost to Harris Ranch (along the I-5)...the landing was better than the take off. Sort of cool to fly 200-miles for lunch.
FUNNIER...if RED shirted brother (unknown to HIS brother who has a PILOT LICENSE) took controls demonstrating that HE, TOO has HIS pilot's license, AS WELL!
Pretty easy, not telling him he's taking training, many surprise their families and friends this way because is a very individual training, just you and the pilot teaching you, none can accompany you.
I'm sorry about your brother's disability. Pretty sure regular people who don't know call signs, tail numbers and radio signs yet would just voluntarily get into a plane. Ya good video. *HUGE FUCKING FART NOISE*
If it was me, I'd go up with a pilot and have him say there's something wrong with the plane and jump out with a parachute. Really just terrify the crap out of my brother. Then I'd safely land the plane.
How did you talk them into going to the airport? I would be super suspect if someone I knew was like "come to the airport with me, and we'll just sit in this plane awhile." Like, are you trying to murder me, bro?
You can get PPL in like 6 weeks from zero time in an accelerated course. Took me just over a year though, and then 2 months for instrument, 2 months for commercial. I’m about to start CFI training
Much respect Sir! Did the exact same thing to my Dad in 1980...ha, ha, ha...it was AWESOME! Miss my Dad...
rest in peace. glad you have a nice memory of him. enjoy your day and get lots of work done!
"Have you flown a plane before? No." Best line ever - congradulations!
*congratulations...

wow thank you for sharing ❤ was he diagnosed before or after this?
@@parkerjohnson5270 After. About 5 yrs.
I lost my twin brother when we were 35. The worst day of my life. If I could go back in time….Anyway, I’m so so sorry for your loss.
The faith he has in his brother to not question the situation more shows the his trust in him. Very cool to see.
His brother isn't the smartest crayon in the shed.
@@abundantharmony It’s also absolutely fake lol. It’s very obvious that his brother knows he’s a pilot.

Any update?
how was it?
Fake
People on these videos are too much chill man. I cant understand. I would be freaking out so much with my brother.
Well, my guess is they knew he was working on his pilot license or at least was working with planes before (i mean, there must be a reason for them to go in the plane), so he was thinking like "Oh, I guess he can do this". lol
It’s because it’s fake.
LOL! I loved the absolute unshakable trust in his brother. Great prank!
Brilliant...well played....but his brother, seemed to still trust his brother, he didn't scream or rage at him.
Love it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Young guys aren't usually in their right mind anyway, so...

Exactly....but did you see the woman in the back seat give the front passenger a Q, ...then he put on his nervous face.
@3:27 "Why do I feel wind right here....?". Speaking like a man on a boat that found a leak...
Enjoyed this so much!!! And he acted like a very professional pilot through the whole thing.
Definitely not something you can just do. I love it. Good job.
LOL he asked "Can i take a snap of THIS?", like "Will you get in trouble if someone sees this?" xD
That was awesome! You had him all the way until you told him. I assume that the backseat passenger knew! Safe flying,
brother: so is this legal?
pilot bro: oh yeah, no problem.

Typical brother, probably: "So, you're a pilot... But have you ever landed a plane before? 🧐🤨"
I like it, a Great video, and something your brother won't forget.. Greetings from Australia 👍
What a wonderful memory they will have forever ❤
It’s great fun to see one sibling showing the other that you don’t know everything about each other.
2:32 Imagine being him right at that moment😂😂😂 Brother is flabbergasted and doesnt even realize whats happening😂
Missed an opportunity. “Why do we feel wind here?” “Oh, we forgot to lock the windshield in place.”
Yes😂

I wanna become a pilot just so that I can use "the pilot voice"
That kid is pure.
Luvit ! Great pride and joy to take family up in the air, you did it with a manner! GG
I’m about to start working toward my license and the amount of chill that you’re exuding gives me hope because I’m low key terrified 😂

I was terrified of any turbulence in the beginning. I knew I could work through it. Just know you can too whatever terrifies you.
Congratulations! IR up next.
the more you do it the more relaxed you'll get. though.. its never couch-like relaxation ahhaa

I would’ve said sounds like we’re taking off. That funnny love your nascar shirt
Here is a question for you
Do you need to put your phones on airplane mode on a small plane like this or is it just commercial planes?
Are you sure you are qualified for this hahaha such a boss video man
Fon du Lac Wisconsin? I'm from Janesville
I imagine him sending that video to his parents and getting desperates calls back 🤣😂.
The brother has ice in his veins! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Congrats!
so did you get back on the ground safely or was it a crash landing?
Does he have an insta or anything? I like how calm, cool, collected he is….makes me want to get a PPL!!!

He's far too calm! if that was my brother and i wasn't aware he was qualified there would of been SO much violence

Hope this is real because it’s great!
"Bro I feel wind right here"
Me: Okay put me down immediately.
He didn't know you could fly but they got in the plane with you, ok!
the "tricked" brother seems a little too okay with stealing that plane, like it was legit no big deal....
They clearly knew all along, and...this is YT after all ;)
Not many pilots would keep it a secret to their brother (or to any random stranger they come across) that they are a pilot...
So, are you going to do something with this channel, or what??
Either cappin', or your bro is a total ding ding.
Too freakin' funny!!
:))))) his eyes popping out!
If it was me, I'd go up with a pilot and have him say there's something wrong with the plane and jump out with a parachute. Really just terrify the crap out of my brother. Then I'd safely land the plane.
This was confusing. I thought the guy in the red was going to tell the brother they were now both pilots.
How did you talk them into going to the airport? I would be super suspect if someone I knew was like "come to the airport with me, and we'll just sit in this plane awhile." Like, are you trying to murder me, bro?
Epic!!!!!!!
It's make a great best man story!
is the brother SCREECH?
"Im flying with...........and they dont know Im a pilot" is the new aviation channel clickbait title.
The question is not if you can fly, but if you can land 😂
He lowkey terrified 😂😂😂
Man you did this soooo fast. Only took 3 months from solo to PPL?
If you do it full time it goes pretty quick.
You can get PPL in like 6 weeks from zero time in an accelerated course.
Took me just over a year though, and then 2 months for instrument, 2 months for commercial. I’m about to start CFI training
Interesting how you can hear AWOS in the background.
Hmm I considered doing something like this but I was too excited not to tell people.
Have you flown a plane before? Sure, on flight simulator games. How different can it be.
