Whenever I sit down to work on another review, I think of your previous comments. It makes me hold myself to a higher standard on what I review and what I say.
As I was prepping for this video, I was a little sad. Middle school has been amazing, in part because it forced me to look into new things for curriculum.
This video is UNDERRATED! Thank you for taking the time to share your favorites and giving alternatives. I’m going to check out that geography curriculum. It seems more streamlined than others we’ve attempted ( sonlight F, my father’s world, guest hallow). We are a definitely not a Charlotte Mason family in the sense that well can never get through all of the reading and I’m not organized enough to chase down all of the titles but we LOVE the concept. I’m also going to try out Analytical Grammar with them this upcoming school year. My girls will be in 8th grade. But I’ll have to say it was very difficult to get a hold of the older edition at a reasonable price. I’m so impressed by your reasons for what makes it recommended curriculum unique. I’ve been trying to find a structured literature program so I’ll checkout Fish Tank for the very reasons you love it.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so lost. I'm terrified of failing my son who is 14 years old. I'm not educated myself and this has been a LOT for me over the last 2 1/2 years of homeschooling with him. I still feel like I have no idea what I'm doing. Your channel, I can already tell, is going to be a GODSEND!!! 💙👏🫂
I completely missed this comment before, I apologize. One of the great things about homeschooling is that we *get* to learn along with our kiddos! (If you haven't already found Khan Academy math videos and/or the Photomath app, they are two MUST-HAVES for math with older kiddos. I'm not sure how I'd get through math without them!)
