Filipinos are great people. I'm Arab. My "Nanay" is Filipino. I call her nanay because I don't want to call her my maid. She was my second Mom. She was with my family for 18 years since I was 4 years old. She's old now and She does not work for my family anymore but until this day we talk and my family continues to give support to her.
@@dukeofpkr I have a friend who worked in Kuwait for close to four years. The couple she worked for had regular jobs but they made enough money to afford to hire a couple domestic workers. I think it's part of their culture to abuse people. I won't connect it to being rich. I saw another video where a recruiter of domestic workers in Lebanon said there is no human rights in the Middle East.
Nothing ever comes easy to a Filipino. Hardship and difficulty is no stranger, yet we take pride and only grow stronger from our difficulties. She has literally given this family everything. By some opinions, given even more even than the matriarch or patriarch. Tell me, after 29 years, what has this loyal hard working women travelling a world away going back to? Our yaya Mary grace is also a filipina she came into our family in 1991 when i was just 9 months old. She helped me grow and thought me how to be a better man. My yaya grace retired in 2017 but we visit her once a year in Bacolod, Philippines. Love you Nanay!
So sweet, the sacrifices of the Filipino never cease to amaze me. Two families have been changed for the better and I wish both families nothing but the best!
The sad part of this story they did not show. She probably left her child or children to be raised by her extended family. She sacrificed her life like the rest of overseas workers do.
My grandma had an Indonesian maid and we treated her like family. We always appreciated her work, celebrated her birthday, let her take Sundays off, and paid for her summer vacation every year back to Indonesia. We knew that she sacrificed a lot to be away from her children and family to serve us, so we treated her well.
I saw a story about a nanny in Chicago who worked 30 yrs for a wealthy family and traveled all over the world with them as the 5 children grew up, then she returned to her small southern town for 15 yrs and owned a store. The father died, and the mother contacted her and asked her to come back and be her "caretaker." The adult children were so happy.
Um your country is a developing country for so long, but due to discipline and corrupt govt you can't be a 1st world or 2nd world. You have a beautiful country. Peace.

When I watched the film “The Help”, it reminded me of our “maid” (I don’t like calling her that, I call her the adoptive mother of my brother’s kids). She has been with us for over 40 years, when during the 70s, maids were not the norm where I grew up. She took care of my youngest brother when he was born, when girls her age are going out and going to parties. She is still with us, living to the house next to the main house, and now have two grown up kids whom my family sent to university. They are now both degree holders and have good jobs. Despite that, she hasn’t left. She is taking care of my brother’s kids from the time they were born, the eldest now 22 and the youngest 17. She will always be the sister I never had. Money cannot replace how valuable she is to us, so is her family.
Desi Arnaz Jr. said he and his sister Lucy had a Cuban nanny that to him was really his mother, as Lucille Ball was always working, even when she was at home. DesiLu Studio had 800 employees and Lucy knew everyone who worked there. He said he took care of their Nanny when she was old.

They are very lucky to have Aurelia in their life as she dedicated 29 years of whole-hearted love and service to this family who, likewise, treated her well. So amused at the two boys she helped raised from their infancy (the younger one) and the older one as a toddler. Truly amazing!!!
When you showed kindness to filipinos..I'm pretty sure more kindness will returned to you...happy for you ate they treated you as a family not by saying only,, but in the act actually so God bless their pure heart ❤️❤️❤️
This also reminds me of Baby our maid. She came into our family in 1992 when I was 3 years old, when we moved to Europe and the U.S., my parents brought Baby with us. She finally retired in 2016, when my youngest sister turned 16 years old. I did not see Baby as a maid rather I saw her as my surrogate mother. She made sacrifices with her own personal life to care for my family, even calling me and my siblings her children. When she retired, my parents bought her a retirement home in her hometown in Bohol facing the beach. Last time I talked to Baby she was in France with her boyfriend, after her retirement and before the pandemic, she was travelling the world, with whom she met her boyfriend in Spain. I love you Baby!

A touching story to hide the sad truth of Filipino enslavement and maltreatment that has been happening for decades. May the poor souls find peace with the Lord.
@ekim andersom Your comment is disgusting. 29 years with the same family and you think they paid her off to say good things? Why can't you just accept the fact that there are other employers who treat Filipinos well.
Enslavement? 🙄 I’d say it’s better opportunity. The maltreatment is true is some cases and that sickens me. I do admire the Filipino for their ability to search for a better tomorrow no matter how far they must go.
I knew a frend here in HK she worked dor 40 yrs now shes 8p but shes still there. I hope i can be too. I work for my employer for 17yrs. Taking care or two. Boys now the eldest is almost become a Dr of Philosophy
I've had the same helper all my life and I'm almost 35. She calls us her children... having none of her own. This past Mother's Day, I gave her, my Mom and Grandma gifts. It's great to have someone around for that long. They truly become family.
You're a record holder Manang Aurelia for serving 29 years 😲! You've sacrificed a lot, but you've rewarded a lot too. 😍 More than the money you've earned, you've got all the love from both of the family. From your family back home and from the family you've served. God bless you more!
This is so precious. I know someone who was raised with a nanny and he said she was always like his grandmother. She died as a family member to them and he never forgot her.
I'm a Filipino working singlemom and I also had a nanny till my daughter was 9 years old. I completely agree with what the mom said. Very thankful for allowing me to do the fun things and be less stressed. I was still very much hands-on because I work from home. At some point, there was some jealousy on my part when she would look for her nanny while I'm already there and that just made me want to make sure that I am very much still a strong presence in her daily life... like bathing, feeding especially study time and playing. I realized that it was a great thing that my child is capable of loving others aside from me and my ex. She would hug her nanny from the back while she washes dishes and play with her in her room sometimes. Our nanny ALWAYS went with us on vacations, dining out, etc. She was truly a part of us. She was older when she started working with us so she had to retire after 9 years. Even now she would visit us and have sleep overs. I can't seem to get a good replacement so I just never hired a new nanny plus my daughter is at an age where she needs to learn some housework as well.
Good nannies are like grandma, mama, and sibling to children all at the same time. And they are also teammate, ally, employee, and sister to their amos.
@@buhaysaturkey2164 I don't think that is what she meant. Every country is the same. There is from the lowest paying jobs to the rich. Only an unintelligent person would think that over 106 plus million people would be nannies and housekeepers. Come on.
My neighbour was working for an arabian rich family for almost 15 year.. here in our village she is the richest amongst us..cause her employer was very kind and generous. She was given high salary, gifts and money to donate building mosque and school in our village.
Beautiful story. It's wonderful to work with a beautiful family. It's refreshing to see how they helped each other. It's not easy to find trustworthy and hard-working people to work in your home. It's nice to see the young man care and appreciate someone so important in his life. Congratulations to all of you. You are very kind and warm and you deserve each other's love.

Now I’m my 18th year of service in one family.. they even asked me if I’m willing to spend more years with them but I still I choose to go home & try to time for myself
What a wise and hard-working Filipino lady, who was smart enough not to become part of the family and treat it as a job. Family members are not paid, they do the work for free.
Mabuhay ka Nanay... you represent our country and spending your 29 long year with them... napanahon na for you to spend an enjoy the rest of your time sa tunay mong familya..
phillippinos are a special breed. always smiling and laughing. very tight families. I'm half syrian half filipino born in syria and raised in canada. we did not know much about the phillippines until I visited for first time last year at the age if 32. and to finally see what majority of the people have to go through on the daily was very upsetting. poverty is real there. Manila alone has 3 million homeless. it's very sad.

What a nice family. They treated the nanny as as their own . Both are are as so lucky. That's a lifetime memory. What a sacrifice for her her so she can provide for her own family in her homeland, the Philippines. I hope that her own children will appreciate the sacrifice this she had made for her own children. It's time to be with her own children and family. It's a win win experience for both sides . The 2nd family has good hearts.
My house maid was with my family since 9/01/83, in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, and she's still with us until today. She became my stepmom later. She now speaks my language very fluently and my whole family loves her so much. She's from Binalonan, Pangasinan. I traveled with her to her place a couple of times. She's 67 yrs old; very nice woman.
What a beautiful family, generous, caring; not only people from the Philippines leave their country to find work as maids, it is difficult to find someone, a family that values, cares, and treats other people with love, dignity and respect.

I had 2 maids growing up they're my 2nd mom's. They were apart of my family before I was born and stayed with my family for 33 yrs
God bless Tatarakis family🙏 very few employer overseas treat my kababayans the way you have treated her.
That moment when he introduced her to his friends that shes her 2nd mother. Wow.
im so proud of my filipino countrymen who became yaya and take care of other kids. and thank you to those foreigner who appreciate the kindness toward filipina yaya's
Being part Filipino, thank you for treating my kababayan well. I hope there are more folks like you who treat their employees well and having them be part of their family.
Godbless these amazing family. Thanks for the good treatment you've shown to your helper, good example to all..Thanks to all....
*_Life is not just earning money for survival, it is earning love and compassion at the same time... YAYA or NANNY is not a job, its being a mother when the biological one is not around.._*
Thumbs up with this family reallt..thank you for taking care of our kabayan as well and treated her like a family...salute to Nanay as well as you raised them well.. I know they are very thankful and will cry and miss you a lot as you're the biggest part of who they become now...happy for this story ..😘😘😘
House maids are so wonderful, specially when they stay with you for a long time, there's one special lady working for my family but she's like a family to us and we gonna take care her for life, she's like a mother to me almost,we love her..!
A touching story to hide the sad truth of Filipino enslavement and maltreatment that has been happening for decades. May the poor souls find peace with the Lord.
Huh? Who told you they are not at peace w the Lord?
@ekim andersom Your comment is disgusting. 29 years with the same family and you think they paid her off to say good things? Why can't you just accept the fact that there are other employers who treat Filipinos well.
We need good news like this one.
Enslavement? 🙄 I’d say it’s better opportunity. The maltreatment is true is some cases and that sickens me. I do admire the Filipino for their ability to search for a better tomorrow no matter how far they must go.
@@RedHorseAdventures youre right..

I hope i can be too.
I work for my employer for 17yrs. Taking care or two. Boys now the eldest is almost become a Dr of Philosophy
Where you live
I've had the same helper all my life and I'm almost 35. She calls us her children... having none of her own. This past Mother's Day, I gave her, my Mom and Grandma gifts. It's great to have someone around for that long. They truly become family.
Wow big heart of her employer
Wow! She was, like their mom. Blessed her heart♥️
The family was so blessed to have her..
It is so heart-warming that this family especially the young man appreciates and sees her as his second mom.
A great mother who raised beautiful children that treat others with love and care.
An epitome of a true Filipina. May your tribe increase.
Hindi ...some filipinas are professionals. This is not only who we are
tribo talaga
@@buhaysaturkey2164 I don't think that is what she meant. Every country is the same. There is from the lowest paying jobs to the rich. Only an unintelligent person would think that over 106 plus million people would be nannies and housekeepers. Come on.
I'm so proud of you nanay. I hope you are well during these times.
My neighbour was working for an arabian rich family for almost 15 year.. here in our village she is the richest amongst us..cause her employer was very kind and generous. She was given high salary, gifts and money to donate building mosque and school in our village.
This made me cry! So much love! Loyalty and respect are very precious commodity ❤️
I can tell from here accent that she's Ilonggo. My lola is Ilonggo too. ❤️

As if that Filipina is their mother too imagine when the guy was 1 month old.

Now I’m my 18th year of service in one family.. they even asked me if I’m willing to spend more years with them but I still I choose to go home & try to time for myself
Wow what an amazing family, this is so nice to hear she was well looked after. She looks so happy. Thanks for sharing.
God bless you all. You are all good people
I worked in Dubai I can vouch the Philippines ladies work very hard and take care of thier families.

Beautiful Family !! Kids are awesome !! They treat her like family and she treat them like family !! Amazing !!
Manila alone has 3 million homeless. it's very sad.
were your filipino
Thats so nice of them....they really look like a good people.....
It so sad that she wasn’t able to be with her own children. I hope that they gave her long vacations with her family.
WOW! 29 YEARS OF FAITHFUL SERVICE....KUDOS TO YOU MADAME FOR BEING SO LOYAL, KIND, AND LOVING. Posted from Los Angeles, California🇺🇲
i have to break it to you my yaya broke your record ...we have a yaya who is been with us for 45 years ...we treat her as our own family and through good times and hard times kasama namin xa ...and she is already part of our family since xa ung nag alaga samin cmula bata palang ung tatay ko
You are lucky
What a nice family. They treated the nanny as as their own . Both are are as so lucky. That's a lifetime memory.
What a sacrifice for her her so she can provide for her own family in her homeland, the Philippines. I hope
that her own children will appreciate the sacrifice this she had made for her own children. It's time
to be with her own children and family. It's a win win experience for both sides . The 2nd family has good
hearts.

Both sides are blessed!!😊
Good parents! Good children! And good helper! God is good! May God bless this family and the helper more!
I know she is lucky to have them, but more on, they are lucky to have a great household member like her. To be able to work and leave at peace and someone will take care of the kids and the house. Its a common life here in the west, and not all can have house helper at home. It is a gem to find someone like her. Kuddos to the Tatarakkis for being the best employer they can be.
Thank you madam for taking care of my kababayan. We are just grateful you treated her as part of your family. God bless you and your family.♥️
She is lucky to be working for a western family. Not an abusive Arab...
Filipinos are hardworking, honest people and most of them have great singing voices!
Raised children not of their own for the good life of their children back home.

The sad part is she when she goes home her children probably have a life of there own
@@spacegaming7015 she should have holidays ...

My folks were married in Dec 1970; my yaya Betty joined the household at 19 yrs old in Jan 1971. She truly is family to me. My 2nd mom, too. Now I have an 11 year old daughter; she's still with us and will be retiring very soon. We call her nanay Betty now (which means mother. She's like my daughter's grandmother already). Nanay never married, and has been lovingly serving my family with no limit. I'm taking care of her even after she leaves. For sure.
God bless our helpers; our caretakers❣❣❣
