MDS Adventures This is a semi alpine technical climb, going alone is not preferable unless you are an experienced climber...as far as i know permission is granting not based on height. This mountain is coming under Hemis Monastery at Leh..
Ok, there is an expedition company named “ Chow_expedition” at Leh which is running by my friend, you can connect to them through FB page or Insta profile. Please find the insta link 👇🏻 instagram.com/chow_expeditions?
JONNY IRISH This is not a trek, we are attempting to summit a mountain, but to reach the basecamp of the mountain we have to do a trek. Summit attempt of this mountain can consider as a semi alpine style climb, if u have experience in snow craft its an advantage, you need to climb with crampons and ice axe for safety and self arrest if u fall, no need of fixed ropes, climbers must be attached with ropes each other, You have experience is high altitude treks and i think you can attempt this. Success depends on you acclimatisation plans as you are attempting to reach around 22000 feet. Base camp is at around 16000 feet and summit is around 22000feet..which means you have to climb around 5000 feet in short span of time,,Success only depends on proper “ Acclimatisation”..go ahead, Dont think too much, just give an attempt , All the best
Chaseyourdreamsstories This mountain is located bit far from Leh town, there are two approach routes, one through Markha valley and another one through Chokdo-chuskirmo-kangmaru la pass..It is not possible to do it in one day, atleast you may need 4 to 5 days for complete expedition......Guide charges depends on the season.if you need ponies, it may cost extra.
Chaseyourdreamsstories Personally i prefer the first route , which is through Markha valley, as you gain the altitude slowly your body will acclimatise properly, but this route is bit long. Second route (Chokdo-chuskirmo-Kangmaru La) is shortest but it is very steep and crossing Kangmaru La pass with heavy backpack will be difficult..but still this route is good if u get ponies from leh to carry luggages as you ascending from 13500 ft (Chuskirmo) to 17500ft( Kangmaru la pass) and decenting to the Base camp which is at around 16000ft which is good for aclimatisation.
