- An upscale neighborhood in Queens, New York, is reeling after a well-liked mom was found stuffed in a hockey bag on a sidewalk after being stabbed to death. Police are scrambling to solve the murder of Orsolya Gaal, a loving mother and wife. Gaal’s husband, who works in finance, and their oldest son were out of state touring colleges when Gaal was slain. She had reportedly gone out with friends and got home around 11 p.m. Her youngest son was asleep upstairs.

I lost my mother last August, still don’t fully know how she died but she had been sick for a long time. I found out she died around 2am, when my dad walked into my room and told me. it was a heartbreaking experience, we couldn’t afford a funeral and we couldn’t be at her cremation because of certain debts. I honestly think it's the son. The picture where the killer was pulling the hockey bag looked like the son's height. The younger son also was there when his dad and big brother were at some college in michigan or oregon. And he was up there supposely sleeping, when the murder happened in the basement at my guess 3:30 AM. Then the killer dragged the hocky bag filled with a deceased mother at 4:30 AM that was captured by a security camera or a ringdoor bell. When then the body was dumped a half mile away from the home.
I am not saying the son is the murderer. It's just a theory and a personal opinion. I'm sure a son would never do this to his own mother.

They should still be cautious of evidence though. I’m sure he’ll be asked some questions too as he was married to the woman and is naturally part of the case.
This whole situation does feel weird, the fact that the son heard nothing, she was stabbed 62 times and there were no signs of a break in is fishy. The culpirt having an access to a phone and sending text to her husband is also fishy, it feel's personal. If the younger son had a plan in this, why did he do it?. Is there more to the family then it meets the eye or is it just a petty crime.

The killer didn't think to search the house for anyone else, especially when they vowed to kill the whole family via text. No sign of forced entry. The killer was extremely messy and clueless in disposing of the body, to the point of leaving blood trails like a snail. The body was disposed in a hockey bag.The camera footage looks like a short person. I'm _wondering_ if the son did it. Key word: Wondering, before any butthurt people come at me.

The story is a little shady. The threatening messages were so specific that it included the motive and that the rest of the family should be protected from danger. The mother gets home at 11pm after she "goes out with friends." And no sign of forced entry.

If the killer really wanted to do something to other family members, wouldn’t they have done something to the son? Also, how did the son who was upstairs not hear anything?? It is very possible for him to have not heard a thing. A basement murder to upstairs sleeping can be a far distance and block a lot of sound. Maybe there wasn't even much sound if killer taped mouth or drugged her or something. I personally have slept through loud thunderstorms that lasted hours and everyone said how could I have slept through it. I have slept through someone banging on my door begging me to wake up just feet away from my bed. Kids often sleep more deeply than adults.
I don't understand taking it outside of house either but to me that doesn't necessarily point to the son. It doesn't point to any suspect...it is just weird.
After watching many murder stories on youtube, I have my suspicion on the son too.
The killer probably tried to take the body away because he left DNA evidence in it. When that bag was leaking a trail of blood he gave up. The video showed the killer leaving, but not returning, making it less likely to be the son. If the killer were the son, he would have been better off pretending an intruder broken in than trying to haul the body away. With that many stab wounds, there is no covering up all the blood.

@@debbY100 No doesn't make sense. When you break into any house you have like 100% expectation that many will be in the house, so when you murder someone you search the house for other and kill them too, especially when you planned to kill the family.
They were in the basement, the 13 year old son was upstairs in his room presumably asleep. I grew up in a house with basement in NYC, if that basement door is locked and the kids room was locked, it's definitely possible for him not to hear, especially assuming the killer has his hands to cover her mouth while he stabbed her.

Also they said the mom went out for drinks and was talking to 3 guys while her husband was away. The killer could be someone she came home with.

The story says absolutely nothing about the other son at home in the house being a suspect, or the father. It also looks like a small person dragging the body in the gym bag, then throwing everyone off by saying it's a revenge case from years past. A criminal does not leave a body close to the home so it can easily be found. I say the family is involved in this, and the threatening note says the family is next. Why would they leave the son alone if they were after the entire family?

Was she a lawyer, prosecutor, law enforcement? Otherwise, that's a puzzling text. They're right that the 60 times stabbing is more of a revenge than a typical home invasion in which the suspect would've just left instead of taking time to text the husband and take the body with him up to the side walk. Maybe someone familiar with the family.
It is almost a certainty, it wasn’t as simple as an impulsive murder. Leaving the body where it could be found, could have been intentional. I believe, they knew the family’s routine. The killer sent a text to the husband, as if he/she knew, he was out of town. There was no forced entry. Perhaps she took the dog out, didn’t lock the door, and the killer gained entry by that means. The text seems like a mere ploy, to misdirect investigators.
