It's so easy to see how good of a relationship you have. A father and son goofing off, looking around. Just enjoying the day together. Doesn't matter if it's fishing, hitting a hot spring or dreaming about gold. You already found the gold

Senior, I think you are justifiably proud of your kids. My hat is off to you, you appear to be a "hands on" type of father who leads by example and support your kids in what they like to do. You have my vote for father of the year. Carry on....

my dad kept his boat at Nelson Landing, 6 days before the flood he drove it up to Willow Beach and began to keep it there. We were friend with the folks who were killed that worked at the dock and small snack bar, R.I.P....Good job guys. We would go up river to where the warm water meets the cold and fish that area looking for large trout, before the stripers were in the lake. my mother caught a 27-pound rainbow it had a big hooked jaw, the photo was on the wall of willow beach wall of fame, does that wall of photos still exist?

As a teenager Nelson's landing was our favorite place before the flood. If I remember it was the Anderson family running the place. I went to school with their daughter. My biggest rainbow was 7lbs 11 ounces up near Willow and I still have the button from the restaurant for trophy trout that year

Oh man! Thank you guys for this post! I want to add this area to my bucket list. I love these old Gold and other ore mines and old cities. I spent 4 days up in the north central California gold discovery mines and cities. I have sluiced the east fork San Gabriel river and found quite a bit of gold in the river. Hard work but lots of fun. Thanks so much! BTW I’ve never seen a gold pan that small…and I have bought about 6 of those loaded Gold dirt bags, beware there is not as much gold as they claim, seriously not worth the money. Out of those 6 bags I got maybe one and a half grams. I won’t name the company but I gave a bad review on their website. Read all reviews before you buy anything, and google the company, you will see what I mean. I have not tried the Sin City Outdoors product. I’m going shopping for a SCO hat though.

The day of the flood it looked like rain, so we stayed home. We got a call that afternoon asking if we were OK. We lost 3 good friends in that flood, including my elementary school principal Mr. Daily. Our boat was in the first slip that wasn't destroyed. There was a picket at the Boulder City fish and game dept. a few years earlier to keep the marina from closing due to flood danger, I was in that picket line. And yes, Nelson would call the restaurant to warn of floods coming. Sometimes we would sit on the restaurant wall and watch them go by. 1' to 2' floods were common. As for the mine, all that was there were some old fighter planes, dilapidated mine and equipment and the original building that is the store/museum. I'm glad to see they still have the Review Journal flood articles I gave them. Keep up the cool videos!

Y'all are awesome. You have a wide range of interests, and you share them all well. The family dynamic is spectacular and how you share your content and do research and explain things, you teach and introduce things to your audience they would have no idea otherwise. On top of that, you also think of your supporters and things they might like and improve on that, like with the gold bags. Looking out for those who want to support you is the best customer service. Aside from the hunting, fishing, lake updates etc, you have a terrific all around channel. Thank you. Ah, and I'll agree, spicy mango fruit bars are killer.

Some of the buildings were bought elsewhere, disassembled, then reassembled there. Like the church, that's a recent addition, that fire pit area / partial looking building out front was added over the past 7 years.
The general store was just added over the last 4 years.
They are always adding new buildings, more cars, more old tools, etc.

In this video, Dad mentions "it's not all on the water, we also like to visit these small towns". Like it says on your hats, Dad, it says "Sin City Outdoors". The OUTDOORS is the important part. You do all outdoor stuff. Not only Hunting or Boating (Fishing)..........The three of you just make for very interesting, family videos. From the bottom of my heart I say ........THANK YOU, MEN !

We lived in the Henderson Green Valley area for 20+ years, we raised 3 kids there, we finally moved on in 2011, and moved to Colorado. The Nelson area, is so familiar to us , we were avid rock hounds at that time and would go exploring everywhere in Nevada, California, Arizona, and Utah. Nelson was one of our all time favorite areas. We could always find geodes there and lots of quartz crystals. There were times we would just follow roads to see were we would end up, a lot of times we would find old mining camps. Thank you for bringing back a lot of fond memories.

When I was a teenager we used to go there and camp out at one of the mines. What you see today is not what it looked like, there was one old guy that lived at Nelson proper but it was very run down, there were a few structure intact but tourists were not welcome, the leaching tanks still held gold and the old guy there owned it and he knew it was there. Most of the structures you see were built or rebuilt from scraps of wood there. Just remember that was a hard rock mine, the ore was crushed and placed into tanks that were full of cyanide, the cyanide caused the gold went into solution, then the cyanide was treated that caused the gold to come out of solution.

Great job today! I love the content.
That wash at Nelson's landing seems like a great place to explore further. Looks like a previous civilization may have dwelled along the face of the visible side of the wash. Be safe out there. Thanks for sharing guys keep up the great work!

That old Dodge could be an early 40s Power Wagon....if those were even being produced then. Awesome video and a nice switch from the Lake Mead and fishing vids! Really love you guys family dynamic and your content! MLAR (much love and respect) from me, Scott, in lil' ol' Clemson SC! 💙🙏🏼

You’re talking about the antique saddles and I’m fixated on the bus behind you 😂 Thank you for your videos - I’m really enjoying learning about the history of your area. Confession: I’ve been to Vegas once and…haha … did NOT like it. This side of NV is way more my speed :)

Wish we knew about this place when we travelled to Vegas from Australia several years ago. We’ve done a few road trips in the US but missed this gem. Thanks for sharing. Might get back there one day. Cheers, guys. 😻

@Sin city outdoors, my guess on that old Dodge truck is 1942. Hopefully someone knows the correct answer. I follow your channel and enjoy each one. Keep up the good work guys. "Drink water, drive on". @Senior, I was Regular US Army deployed multiple times, and just wanted to say from one Soldier to another thank you. Keep it up Sin City Outdoors. "Hooah "

I live in AZ and my Dad and I use to explore all around AZ. I love watching you guys having fun. Your boys will keep your (Sr) tradition going for the next generation to appreciate history the good as well as the bad. We all will just keep getting better as a collective society. Thank you for all your videos. They make me feel good and gives me hope for our kids future. Keep up the great work boys!!!

The front looks like a 40's Power Wagon. The cab looks kind of like a 25ish Paddy Wagon. I very well could be wrong. Great channel!

Great video & fascinating history. I could spend hours just rummaging around looking at all the really old equipment. The old photos are really interesting. I was doing ok with the video until Sr stated there’s probably loads of rattlesnakes. I’m glad you did the video as there’s no way I’m going anywhere near a rattlesnake habitat 😂 Much safer watching you guys on UA-cam.

Dr T ,I think you are right about the truck, my guess is a surplus Military 40s Dodge Power Wagon adapted to suit their needs.

Have fun at Lake Havasu City, it’s beautiful down there. Watch out for those dust storms, we were caught in one leaving Boulder City headed to I-40, couldn’t see anything and almost had to pull off the side of the road. Love the channel, peace to you all from Ohio. ✌️😎
