Frankie Hannon one of the most underrated guitarists of the 80s- he’s great and doesn’t get enough credit- Jeff sounds like he’s struggling vocally - but hey it’s Tesla and they always kept their music real
His voice was always scratchy and part of the appeal but you'll notice when he first comes out that he has a cough ?? This could be why, Who knows but I wish them all good health !
Amazing ! Such an underrated band . They always kicked ass and always put on an amazing live show . Their 5 man acoustical jam album will always be one of the best live shows ever !
Have seen these guys over 30 times. Always get a great show, full of energy. Have met all of them multiple times, and as genuine as can be. Good guys, great music!!
Where the hell have I been !!! Under a dang rock !!! I LOVE these guys !!! I just started listening to them the last 2 years !!! I love you JEFF Keith !!!!!!
Never give up your passion. I love this. :) Never give up anything. We all age and we never wrote or performed this from day 1. I love this. Keep the desire and passion and never give up. Be and never stop being :)
I hope they are in the rock and roll hall of fame. They have been a favorite of mine since I saw their first tour at Murfreesboro TN. They have to be in there or it's a terrible injustice. Just listen to their songs.
@@danielbarton2444 Totally agree. I sat next to him for dinner once (actually it was after dinner). So down to earth. I love how he mentors young musicians in the area.
Ol Frank is bad to the bone on that double neck. Been listening to these guys since they broke out. Good music. Thanks Tesla for years of musical enjoyment!!
That intro reminds me of the fun I used to have with a friend of mine when we used to play guitars together. We would literally just come up with stuff on our guitars and our friends would ask if we rehearsed it but we had not. It was just what we came up with on the spot. We would switch off where one would play a lead an the other would play the rhythm. Fun times . . .
Hard to believe some of the original Tesla members still play together, Jeff Keith ,Brian Wheat, Frank Hannon & Troy Luvketta. These guys started in 84(as Tesla) i think they actually played together a few years before that under another name. Amazing chemistry.
8:09 - I love this ending ! "Our dear dear friends of San Antonio, Texas, how in the hell do I know ? (taps left foot 3x) I just do !" - Good enough for me, Jeff ! Sha-dooby, Sha-dooby, Sha-dooby !
JEFF fuiste grande y lo serás siempre, admiro tú espíritu rockero pero definitivamente la actuación vocal es triste, resto de la banda excelente, Frank una bestia en la guitarra como siempre....
Jeff's vocals aren't what they used to, but I couldn't picture anyone up there with that band, either! Just a legendary group of musicians there all around!
The Aztec is a great venue here in the River City (aka San Antonio). BTW, NOBODY that lives here ever calls our city "San Antone", so stop it. Haha. Any who, esposa and I were right up front for this show. As always, they were excellent. And, yes, Jeff appeared to be ill that night. He kept going to the back of the stage to hock up big loogies. Regardless, he still sang like a freakin' beast!
Great to see the band still performing, but I'd still liked to see Tommy with them still....I know he's got problems..but, been a fan of Tesla since 1992...Tommy Skeoch was my guy :)
jeff sounds like his voice is hurting but hell after that many years cant blame him. best part is frank hits just that one note and immediately that crowd knows! respect! As for Frank when Modern Day Cowboy came out I knew he was bad ass
If I was that security guard I would have been fired when Frank Hannon played the solo to LOVE SONG right on top of my head!!!!!! I WOULD HAVE TURNED AROUND AND STARTED ROCKIN!! AND THEN GET FIRED.
I have seen Tesla many times with my parents and as i got older. Dont take this as big insult but his voise sounds really off. It has a very Cartman sound to it. I cant tell if its just him now or this recording.
@@johnnyutah482 he's never not sounded that way mostly.....yes, it's a bit more pronounced these days, but go check out any old live videos and you will see he's always sounded like that.
One of those incredible songs from the 80s that still has special memories for us all..
Frankie Hannon one of the most underrated guitarists of the 80s- he’s great and doesn’t get enough credit- Jeff sounds like he’s struggling vocally - but hey it’s Tesla and they always kept their music real
probably because he has been putting stress on his voice for so many years plus he used to smoke cigarettes
Work vocal chords that hard for that long and it just happens! Still a good performance!
I agree Hannon doesn't get enough credit think Keith's voice is about gone
His voice was always scratchy and part of the appeal but you'll notice when he first comes out that he has a cough ?? This could be why, Who knows but I wish them all good health !
Exactly
When you write a song this good it must never get old playing it in front of fans.
Troy (drummer) told me he never gets tired of playing period, I was fortunate enough to meet the band but Troy and I are still friends 😍🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Its crazy...still to this day, when I need a little pick me up... I can turn on some Tesla and my day gets better...pretty much every single time!!!
Love song is Tesla´s Stairway to Heaven...simply beautiful!!!
Amazing ! Such an underrated band . They always kicked ass and always put on an amazing live show . Their 5 man acoustical jam album will always be one of the best live shows ever !
That tour was awesomeness...
Well said Sir.
ALWAYS !!
This will forever be a classic. Up there with Stairway.
Love this song
What a great song! These guys still sound great!
I LOVE THE SOUND OF THE CROWD WHEN HE HITS THAT FIRST CORD!!!! It has to sound amazing from their side of the stage.
Have seen these guys over 30 times. Always get a great show, full of energy. Have met all of them multiple times, and as genuine as can be. Good guys, great music!!
Jeff Keith used to have such an energetic stage presence! Time steals all of our lives.. I'd give anything to go back (#80's & 90's #good times)
You know a guy came ready to rock when he's not only playing one guitar, he's got another slung on his back ready to swing into action.
A song that will never go away. Too many memories that keep it held close to the heart.
Inspirational Performance.
6-11-23 Happy Sunday!! "Tesla" Rock's!!
LOVE THIS BAND. Always have, always will! Rock on :-)
Over 5 Decades and still going on! The Old Man NC

Sadly, there is very little correlation between talent and induction into the RRHoF.
Frank really is a talented dude
A very underrated guitarist!!!!
A Guitar God at its Finest.
All are
And one of the nicest people you will ever meet!

1 of my favorite 80s songs and bands of all times
I love this song, all their songs!!
That was an awesome show bro!!!! Thanks for sharing,!!!! Excellent Quality
I totally loved this. Cassette days!
Cassette days...my tape may have been eaten a time or two...
Find a pencil or the pinky and roll that sucker back up...smash the open button, reinsert and keep right on listening!!!
Mechanical Resonance in the ol' Walkman- ..the good ole days..NO MACHINES🤖
Fantastic rock'n'roll more and more rock n'roll I hope they come to Italy to play 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹
One of a few bands that care enough to play live version the same as recording version..
One of my favorite Bands!!!!!
My very favorite song they sing! Awesome ❤❤❤
love to the Tesla family
wonderful!!!!!!
💕 love song
Glorious to my ears.... Thanks BOYS!
Beautiful intro love this song they're so good
beautiful
Another great video! I saw them on this tour in Dayton, OH in Aug. 2019.
I live in Cincinnati and I love Tesla! Just had to say that! 😆😆😆

Nothing short of epic & amazing 👏

That is just damn good to watch, ok listen to
This is too good, wow..real music as the way of life
Is Frank is a badass underrated guitarist without a doubt
FANTABULOUS AS ALWAYS
I was nervous for a second thinking Jeff was not going to make it to the stage in time to start the song.
.Great performance thanks for sharing
eternally a great song. But seeing these guys really high-lights the fact that time catches-up to all of us. I remember when they were just kids.
Still Kid's.... Forevermore 🙏
Thanks!
You're welcome
Amazing 🤩
Tesla the best
One of fav bands..
I was at this show! Saw them the night before in Dallas at the Hard Rock.

I missed this darn gig! Please come back to San Antonio!
Awesome song 💜💜💜💜💜💜☮️
These guys are way better than Motley Crew. What a great frontman.
You sir did an amazing job in recording this. I'm from San Antonio myself and it was unfortunate that I missed this show. Thanks fellow Texan
Thank you Roger
@@liveinconcert337 thanks again you rock!!!!!!!
No you rock. As April wine would say I like to rock!!!!!!!!!👍🤘😎🤔
AMEN to that P Nick!!!!
Awesome just friggin awesome….
Too funny, I recently commented on video of 2 guys playing Love Song, saying you guys nailed that song, not knowing it was Tesla! LOL at myself..
The hardest instrument was always the vocals. The only instrument that is not immune to time. Damn it man! 😢
Great to see the band still performing, but I'd still liked to see Tommy with them still....I know he's got problems..but, been a fan of Tesla since 1992...Tommy Skeoch was my guy :)
We Love Tesla IN SANANTONNIO TEXAS ...
Awesome band. Touring from the same album from over 30 years ago.
TESLA FOREVER
That's pretty cool
WOW
More Tesla....less Elon Musk!
P. Nick Brunson 👏🏼
Did Musk have to pay them royalties for using the name Tesla? this band has been around a lot longer that he has!
jeff sounds like his voice is hurting but hell after that many years cant blame him. best part is frank hits just that one note and immediately that crowd knows! respect! As for Frank when Modern Day Cowboy came out I knew he was bad ass
Magical fingers of Frank & Dave.
Frank 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
i love tesla
If I was that security guard I would have been fired when Frank Hannon played the solo to LOVE SONG right on top of my head!!!!!! I WOULD HAVE TURNED AROUND AND STARTED ROCKIN!! AND THEN GET FIRED.
Great camera work...
Anyone know the name of the intro, fingerpicking song?
Lovesong
👁️🙏💯
Showing there age..just like the rest of us
Not a bad thing. Father TIme is undefeated.
We all get old. Take a look in the mirror
Anyone know what boss chorus Frank Uses ?
“Respect my authorit-taaah”
🤴👸💫
3 ads during a live performance like this? Really?
This song goes to eleven.
🙏👁️🐘🙋
Is that Eric Cartman from south park on the mic?
Jeff looks a lil toast after that one! heat in Texas?, not sure, but he had to work for that one!
When a band gives a shit about how they sound, it shows...
Unusual to see an Epi double neck instead of a Gibson.
I have seen Tesla many times with my parents and as i got older. Dont take this as big insult but his voise sounds really off. It has a very Cartman sound to it. I cant tell if its just him now or this recording.
is he sick? he still has the voice tho.
Come on Jeff dude relax
Cartman...from South Park
Still love this band thou
SJ cal 1989
Music sounds great but.....why does he sound like Cartman....js
listen to it now that you've read this....can't unhear it now...sorry
Thats what years of singing that way does...

Lmao now. Truth
