i can't wait to ride this. I only got over my fear of rollercoasters at Thorpe park 2 years ago now and watching your videos have inspired me so much to get involved with the Theme park community. Thank you so much
what could be so cool is that the station should have automatic gold sliding doors that opens before the train exits the station and have fog emitting. Who agrees?
Strange decision having that welcome sign at the entrance of the station but I guess Welcome Shitting your Pantsers probably isn't a wise choice of signage
@@LiftHillsandThrills It's not that riders are being welcomed to the ride; it's to do with the ride theme and the whole Hyperia story. "A fearful daughter of a river god, Hyperia (you, the rider) refuses to be defined by her fear of water (ride elements) so fashions a pair of wings to leap into the void (the record-breaking first drop) and to swoop across the water (ride element), overcoming her fears (becoming fearless)". So you earn the "fearless" tag once you've finished the ride and are then welcomed as such on your return from your "journey".
Been here from the start and can’t believe how it is actually a reality like I was at Thorpe park on Friday and it didn’t feel real omg so exited to see The first test run jack

Super detailed vid Jack! So exciting that testing is soon! I have had a thought though about the track joints and the fact that I haven't seen them being smoothed out, I don't know whether it needs to be done but, I know that other coasters have had it done like Storm Chaser which is another Mack and Nemesis reborn had it done, so I dont know how long it takes if it does need to be done?
My dad was a project manager on building sites for many years, and a few times a month, I would go with him to learn. I'm no roller coaster engineer, but looking at the current state of the grounds, there is no way that is opening in May. Roller coasters in UK have to go through weeks if not months of testing before they can even open it to the public, and it's not even started yet. This thing is still a building site, and yet they're talking of opening it in little over a month. While it's exciting, don't get your hopes up on the opening date yet. I care more about the safety of the ride and hope to god they don't rush it being under pressure from the public. The last thing we want is for a catastrophe to happen, and it gets shut down before anyone has a chance to ride it. The smiler went through several months of testing.
The coaster looks amazing, but you can see the cut backs in the overall aesthetic choices. A shoe box clad in some cheap gold, and those awful queue lines as well. I can't wait to ride, but aesthetically/themed/stylised whatever you want to call it. its not great.
I’m so excited to see this testing :) I’m curious what testing a rollercoaster that’s never run before will look like, a little different to nemesis reborn i guess, even though I didn’t watch anything on that either, I assume it’ll be pretty much flawless due to the science behind it but I can’t help picturing planet coaster tests 😂 Also I’m confused, have I missed an episode? Have the cars even arrived yet?
It’ll be fun to see it test and I’m going to Thorpe park in the summer for the first time so it’ll be great to ride this I’m going 3 times this year in June when I surprise my mate by saying well done for doing your GCSEs mate and then my aunt is gonna take me with her Merlin annual pass and then I’m also going on a trip with my youth club
I'm either gonna ride it in school half term at like 27th May or wait like 6 weeks cause we have a week of summer holidays before all other schools. Soon hyped
It was my first time at thorpe park at thorpe park last October the only theme park I went to before was chessington thorpe park is crazier than chessington I'm so grateful for my Dad taking me it was such a great day I was scared of stealth at first and didn't go on it but my dad bribed me with the churos 😂so I was happy after and decided to do it for my dad and be brave and just tried it I got to the bit to seat on the seats I was about to back out but I went on I was really scared swore at the top but when I got of i loved it and I will go on I again just might have to build up some courage for hyperia when I go on my birthday nervous it's 236ft goes upside down and only has a lap bar but my freind jack I coming he's never been but I feel like near him I'm comforted when he's around because he is such a good freind and listens to me when I've been through tough things
Hi Jack, just wondering how do you know when moments like testing will happen, I really want to be there on testing day but I will have no idea when it will be.
@@HarryWroutthe final piece was sat on the ground and being constructed (it was in several pieces before) that morning and many people were down the day before, also the amount of people onsite that day watching it was also a pretty good sign
Saw you today at Thorpe park and it was the 2nd best day of my life (of course after phantasia land sorry jack) thank you for complimenting my jumper such a nice guy you are see you opening day!
44 days left intill hyperia opens but it looks like there is still a lot of work to do. I honestly think the opening date will be pushed forward intill the middle of june or late june and probably their will be some stupid people taking there phones on the ride and end up losing their phone so that is very good safety feature when people are geueing up near the hyperia station
The fencing is not the best as it will be much harder to get nice video shots of Hyperia I understand why they need to be there but they could of used perspexs or Double Glazed Glass instead of the cage
You’ve cancelled your plans for the next week, that to me indicates you know testing will begin in the next week but you’re not at liberty to divulge such information.
That caged queue line is terrible. World class ride with 3rd world queue line. Would this caged queue happen in any other park at any reasonable themepark. I think not. Shocking really

Great to hear you’re enjoying rides now! 👍
what could be so cool is that the station should have automatic gold sliding doors that opens before the train exits the station and have fog emitting. Who agrees?
That would be really sick
Sick, but adding this is a point of failure. If the doors don’t open the ride can’t operate. (Not trying to s**t on your idea)
That is an amazing idea, but this is Merlin we are talking about, if we do get the smoke I doubt it will be on a lot
Yes U.K. rides lack immersive experience 🙏🙏🙏
No lmao

@@LiftHillsandThrills Well, no, because the whole point of the message is to give people a "fearless" tag AFTER riding Hyperia.

THE TRAINS ARE FINALLY HERE GUYSSSS
I’m just hoping that the little lake won’t make the queue line flood when it’s rains a lot 😂 the Smiler queue line is like a swimming pool
Hi Jack, a great update and exciting to hear r.e. the testing preperations for Hyperia. Cheers Peter :-)
Yaaay can’t wait for the first test ride I hope I will be working that day and be able to see the ride being tested so excited 😮
Is 6 weeks enough to get it testing and fully operational by the 24th cause that’s how long we have till then? It just feels so tight 😬
Unfortunately were just going to have to wait a few years to get a true feel of the landscaping and planting theyve done to improve the areas
It will be all green by Xmas...being spray with seeds and fertiliser
They need to get a move on, the ride opens next month and there's still so much for them to do.
This was recorded roughly two weeks ago, some progress has been made since, but nothing too noteworthy.

Jack can you do a video on the trains when they arrive ❤ can't wait for the testing ekkkkk so close now
Yes mate
I feel Hyperia needs a supporting ride within its own mini area just to help the queues on busier days.
4hr queue either way 😉
Itching to see testing now! 🙌🏻🪽
