A kid fell near the start, then tried to get up and fell again, I do cross country and I say don’t sprint at The start. But then again they are younger so they don’t need to run a very long distance lol
A Person yeah I agree that they are young so they don’t know. I’m in cross county too and my coach tells us that the first 50 meters are free energy, use it. Don’t all out sprint of course, but you should be accelerating. After that, you settle into a good pace, then finish strong.
Hey, I’m in middle school and I haven’t ran an entire meet yet. I have really bad asthma. I almost did one, but the one hill was just too steel for me to get up with my breathing issues.
I’m Okay it’s fine that you are walking when I was in middle school I had such a hard time with my breathing, but once I started pushing myself harder it got better. Also if you want to get better ask your high school if you can train with them through the summer!! I love when our middle schoolers train with us. During my eighth grade year I went from middle be to top a!! Just always make sure to never quit :)
