    I Have a 2019 BMW R1250 GSA HP MODEL. as of Today 7/5/2022, I have BT MOTO stage 1 & 2 installed with a new map. also, sprint 08 air filter & SC project Exhaust. Akrapovic titanium header is in back order and still waiting. Super fast, totally different bike. I can feel the huge difference in performance. Awesome I'm super happy with the upgarde. Now I have to see the total miles with a full tank. Thank you BT MOTO

      Does the Akrapovic titanium header fit with the SC project exhaust alright? I have the same exhaust and am thinking of getting the Akra header as well.. thank you!

    A driveshaft is great - but it becomes significantly less efficient as the speed goes up. Moving oil becomes more difficult as the speed increases - it is just the way it is. So the engine will feel powerful when moving slower and weaker when going over 100 - too much power gets sucked into the driveshaft. The nasty quick-shift between 1 and 2 is also the result of the driveshaft. Driveshafts have little to no slop so it is harder to get the required alignment to perform the gear change. BMW has great quick-shifters on other bikes so they know how to do it - but they all use chains.
    It would be interesting to see a dyno comparison of first gear and 6th gear. If the driveshaft is in fact the cause, the measured torque in 6th gear will taper off at a higher rate then in first gear. Love to see someone with a dyno do this test.

    Over $1000 for this ????? You are kidding, right??!!!! This bike has power that 99% of us will never even come close to using ........

      I’d say more like 50%. If someone is buying this tune they are using it.

    I have a 2022 R1250GS and I’m interested in Stage 1 and stage 2. You defended how to video for stacks but can’t see it, can you point me there? Also, any type of warranty on this and does it void the warranty on the bike? Thanks!

    You got anyone who will install the stage 2 near Tennessee?

    I am looking at the stage 1 for my 1250 GSA. I don't really care about top speed, or more power, but just to get the power I have when I want it. I get really annoyed sometimes that if I need to full throttle out of something for just a few seconds (passing on the road, or over an obstacle on dirt) that my bike just falls on its face and does nothing. Like the last half of throttle movement doesn't do anything at all. Will the stage 1 flash do anything to help this?

    • @BT_Moto
      @BT_Moto  14 днів тому +1

      @@Inthewind24 stage 1 will help, but stage 2 will fill that gap you’re talking about since the biggest bottleneck is going to be airflow on the bike.

    I have the stage 1 tune and a full exhaust system. It would’ve been nice to see the stage 1 tuned bike on the dyno as well as the stock and stage 2. I think I’m correct in believing that you have to have the stage 1 installed before you get the stage 2?

    I find the Valvoline 4-Stroke Full Synthetic 10W-40 To be the smoothest oil any bike bike can consume even the S1000RR With BT Tune

      Don’t run a car oil in a bike! 5-6 k revs vs 16 k. Engineering of the oil is very different! Ask a couple of respected bike mechs!

    Would you personally choose this over the V4S Pikes Peak given the price, visual, and performance differences?

    • @BT_Moto
      @BT_Moto  2 роки тому +1

      We love Ducati’s but it all comes down to preference. The pike’s peak multi does have more power than the standard multi and this bike BUT it also sacrifices the adventure qualities that makes these bikes work well in all terrains. The pike’s peak v4 is more of a road bike than an adventure bike. Where this bike can be used in almost any condition in the world.

    At 125mph with all 3 hard cases on the bike makes things interesting lol. I'm also 340lbs so ABS/TC stays on at all times. The bike squats so hard with my fat ass on there all the weight transfers instantly and 12 ocklocks in 1st and second by just twisting the throttle without much warning. Currently training hard to get back in shape so I can start tracking my 2020RR again . I have the stage 2 in the RR full exhaust, airbox flaps removed and relocated the air temp sensor. Bike rocks even with pump gas. The quick shifter is like butter compared to my 2023 2050GSA. But these are 2 completely different bikes so can't really fault the GSA. I think the 1-2 shifts are so brutal on the GS because it's shaft driven. I'll probably order the starge 2 for my GSA eventually, would be nice to get rid of the cold start problem, it's actually pretty bad sometimes 😢

    I own a 2023 1250gs, This is my 3rd new gs and each time bmw state NOT to use the quick shifter below 3rd gear. strange i know.
    The 1250 for being arguably the most common bike has the worst quickshifter I think on the market. Some say bmw can program this out but they can’t.

    I have a 2019 R1250RT. This is very intriguing. The power and torque increase is similar to the increase between the R1200 and R1250. Power is up everywhere which is very great. How has this affected fuel economy when not romping on it? My all around MPG on my RT is around 46. Thanks.

      My mileage went down to an average of 5.8ltr /100km (40.5mpg) from. 4.9ltr/100km (48mpg) with the stage 1 flash. That’s acceptable to me but the stage 2 must surely use more fuel than stage 1.

    Absolutely UNimpressed. MOST of what you did and the comments you made regarding the "after" performance is EASILY accomplished on a stock bike (including the wheelies and riding at stupid speeds in and through traffic). Second, it's obvious you had zero familiarity with the bike before getting on it--every OWNER knows the quick shifter isn't used from 1st through 3nd, but works perfectly from 3rd to 6th, UP and and back DOWN all the way to 1st. All of which casts doubt on your contention that your mapping had ANY affect on shifting. As for the five mph gain to top speed--meh--not worth the price or frankly even worth bragging about. One more point--we don't "cruise" on R1250 GS and GSAs, we TOUR.

    • @robertmariani
      @robertmariani 6 місяців тому +1

      Your assessment on the quick shifter is completely wrong! The new one BMW designed for the 1300 GS is way smoother. BMW did it right this time. NOBODY knows the 1-3 shouldn't be used with the quick shifter as designed, they came to that conclusion because its garbage. BMW screwed the pooch on the first design. So many BMW riders, and I am one, get soooooo butt-hurt anytime they hear something negative about their bikes. Get over it, there no perfect bike......except for my R1250R ;)
