Stunning. You are living in paradise it seems. I am glad the fire is not near you and that the animals are doing well there. Your videos are very didactic and easy to follow. Thank you for your work and giving us a view of your beautiful country
My favorite characteristic of watercolor is separation-and yes, stirring with the brush works but you’re correct about that small well concept. Thanks for showing us that. Gorgeous painting and wonderful acreage you have. Thank you!
My pleasure and thank you Catherine. I like that characteristic too. I had a few beginners tell me that it concerned them so that's what alerted me to it. I told them not to worry about but I thought this might help them.
Thank you very much Sarah. Sorry I'm a bit behind on replying. These little cuties come every afternoon. I've got water on the ground for them. I fill the container up each evening after the birds have finished with it so all the wallabies can have a drink.
I love seeing your gorgeous garden and the animals and birds that surround you. A piece of heaven on earth😍Thank you for another stellar video of this adorable Wallaby. 🙏🏻❤️🌹
What a cute little joey. Thank you for all your advice on these videos, you are an amazing and generous artist. I too use ultramarine and burnt sienna (didn't realise this was Paynes Grey) and like the way they separate on my palette, it gives me choice to vary the colour on the paper, but a useful tip if you want a similar grey for a large area.
it is a stunning art work ! your right, it is a wallaby , they are gorgeous little things. i live in rural victoria and am lucky to have these little guys on my doorstep as well
Wow, you live on an amazing property! Thanks for all the watercolour lessons; I've painted my very first flower a few days ago. It's a challenge, but also a lot of fun!
This is amazing Louise. I'm so happy that you painted this adorable little guy and can't wait to see him on Patreon. I'll be following that tutorial very soon!! Your property is gorgeous and I love that you are sharing your flowers, birds and other animals with the rest of the world through you wonderful talent.
I stumbled across your lessons yesterday and am binge watching now :) so nice to see an Aussie on youTube :) am loving your artworks and will definitely be checking out your skillshare and patreon :) thanks for the time and effort you put in to your explanations, and also for the bloopers at the end :) gorgeous house too! So jealous of the aussie critters in your yard :) have a great day :)
Hi Louise, I have just discovered you on You Tube and love your watercolours (and your garden). I use french ultra and burnt sienna for my greys and love the granulation the french ultra gives them. I have Paynes Grey, but very rarely use it as it is quite flat and rather petrol blue.
Thank you, Louise! I'm new to your videos and LOVING them! Thank you for taking the time to show us your tricks. I can't wait to join Patreon to learn more!
Wonderful thank you once again for your amazing tutorials. I haven’t really tried wet in wet yet as I have an Anna Mason subscription and I’m learning her techniques. When I have more experience I will be trying your methods. Your tutorials are absolutely fabulous thank you 😊
I bet you're enjoying Anna's lesson(s). She and Louise are both exceptional artists; their styles appeal to me. Anna's main focus seems to be flowers/botanicals, while Louise excels with animals/birds. However, I'm sure they could both paint whatever they wanted to. Amazing ladies. Louise has been so generous in sharing her tips etc. on her channel.
Louisa I paint a bit looser than you do, and as far as mixing grays I also use ultra blue and burnt sienna. I like how it can be made warmer or cooler just by using a bit more of one or the other color .
How amazing to live in such a beautiful place!! So excited to get to try this cute painting soon. But worried about using hot pressed paper. Cannot get the hang of it 😩
Thank you. I never knew that Payne's Gray was a mixture of ultramarine blue and burnt sienna, usualy If I want Payne's Gray I buy the tube, however I like the idea of it separating a bit, and knowing how to control it.
Thanks Renae. I think my accent must be a bit confusing. It's 'Jane's Grey' that Daniel Smith make that is similar to this mix. I buy Paynes Grey too. It's a very useful colour.
5:41 there's my problem and it drives me mad, or worse, it drives me away from painting as I can't find a way to avoid it. I want to paint a simple grey cloud, I use blue ultramarine and burnt siena, I get the grey I want, I paint the cloud... and after a short while my grey cloud has become an awful blue cloud with a brown contour, like the one you are showing here on the left. I can't accept it... I really would like to have a stable grey! is it a matter of low quality colors? is it a matter of too much water on the paper?
Louise, I would love to live on your property to see all of the animals that come and visit. I will be signing up for patreon at the beginning of Feb., you use a lot of the color Windsor violet in your pictures I own Daniel Smith, would lunar violet be a good substitute color?
Hi Denise, Thank you! I look forward to you joining Patreon. I'm not familiar with Lunar Violet. It's not on my DS paint chart nor is it in my big paint book. I had a quick look online and it looks a bit dark from what I could see. A colour that I sometimes use instead of Winsor Violet is DS Imperial Purple.

Love the bloopers. Your so cute, and real. We love that
Because of these videos, I am confident
To watch your video is an enjoyment, thanks Luise!
I love watching you paint. Your so talented!!
Stunning. You are living in paradise it seems. I am glad the fire is not near you and that the animals are doing well there. Your videos are very didactic and easy to follow. Thank you for your work and giving us a view of your beautiful country
Thanks very much Vivian. ❤️
I hope your beautiful area has not been affected by the fires. You have the best tutorials!
Thank you very much. It came close but all good so far.
Beautiful painting. Great video. I learned very much.

Oh my goodness Louise! This little guy is adorable and how wonderful to be able to sit and watch him in your own garden! -Love the new intro too 😊😍
Thank you very much Sarah. Sorry I'm a bit behind on replying. These little cuties come every afternoon. I've got water on the ground for them. I fill the container up each evening after the birds have finished with it so all the wallabies can have a drink.
I really enjoy your videos. I started watercolor a few years ago. I definitely like wet-on-wet method best. Your videos are a lot of help to me.
That's great June. I do too. Thank you very much.
I love seeing your gorgeous garden and the animals and birds that surround you. A piece of heaven on earth😍Thank you for another stellar video of this adorable Wallaby. 🙏🏻❤️🌹
Thank you Carla. ❤️
I love when the paint separates.
Me too Sue! 🥰

Thank you Lorna. I do too. Daniel Smith make a similar colour called 'Jane's Grey' not 'Paynes Grey.' It must be my accent ❤️.
This is so lovely Louise I was fascinated watching you build up the fur on him. Thank you again for a wonderful demonstration.
My pleasure Isabel. Thank you!
I love the way you paint - the textures are so gorgeous!
Thank you for being such a wonderful artist, and teacher. ❤️
Thank you for your lovely comment Shelly. ❤️
just arrived back after my holis in Aust. and when I saw this video felt already homesick! its beautiful Louise! thank you....
it is a stunning art work ! your right, it is a wallaby , they are gorgeous little things. i live in rural victoria and am lucky to have these little guys on my doorstep as well
That's good to know. Thanks Jen. I wasn't sure. They are little sweeties. I put water down on the ground for them and they come every afternoon.
@@LouiseDeMasi we are doing the same at the moment, we have little water bowls all around the place , its a tough summer for the poor little animals
Wow, you live on an amazing property! Thanks for all the watercolour lessons; I've painted my very first flower a few days ago. It's a challenge, but also a lot of fun!
That's fabulous. Thanks Iona.

Wouahoooo, you have the paradise at home...., sooooo awesome these guys. Thank you Louise very much for instructions 🙏🏻 🕊 💓
Thank you Celeste.
Excellent, thank you.
As always it was useful Louise, I too like the new opening!
Lol... thank you Don. My son, who went to Canada, came home to visit for a few days. He did it for me.
@@LouiseDeMasi He did a great job. :-)
Lovely info, thanks. I like the changes in colour so I'm all good. Love the new intro :))
Thank you! I do too. ❤️

Yes exactly. Me too. Thank you Barbra.
How amazing to live in such a beautiful place!! So excited to get to try this cute painting soon. But worried about using hot pressed paper. Cannot get the hang of it 😩
Thank you! If you don't like hot pressed use cold pressed. Either paper is good to use.

Lovely thank you
Thank you Silvia.
Hes adorable❤❤❤
Thank you Christina.
I wish I had a kangaroo in my garden :D
Hi Louise. thanks for this tutorial. You have a wonderful house and the right environment for painting..Thanks for showing us around.😍

I find the wallaby s where I live in Victoria are usually much darker than the kangaroos, more a charcoal colour

I'm pretty sure it's a Whiptail Wallaby aka Prettyface Wallaby @LouiseDeMasi. I don't know whether it's a baby or not.
Thank you Evie! It was very pretty. I watched it for a while. 💕
25 acres lucky you.
I know.....it's a tough life. 😉
Lovely! How can you tell the difference between a roo and a wallaby anyway?
