very entertaining, i highly recommend you watch bob binnie videos, you may be able to pay a commercial beekeeper to spend some time with him , spring would be best, also a canadian beekeeper i have seen does videos and has a couple of thousand hives. i just said to my wife how lucky i was to get a job with probably the best beekeeper in australia when i was 15, now OLD with 10 hives it's been a lifelong love affair, i think the better you get the more you will like it.
As I'm sure you love your bees, it frustrates me to see how you banged and jared your hivetool to open the boxes, which was clear to see how much it upset the bees. We as backyard beekeepers have the liberty of taking more time, being more gentle and conscious of treating them with more respect. Take your suits off--this will teach us to slow down.
Hey, thanks for the heads up. I personally thought they did a great job and love their bees. I think the big mistake was wearing black shorts. Wow, if you look at the way they go for black, that is a definite no-no. Anyways, I am looking forward to hearing your comments when we harvest the honey in the next little while.

It certainly is addictive. I am psyched to do a follow-up and am stoked about how much interest people have in bees.

@@FierceTartan thx. But I wear black all the time with my bees and rarely get stung. It’s vibrations that get them going.
