Horse track system - Part 1 - Setting up the track

To keep on top of Fatty's weight I've started to put into place a track system for once they come off the winter grazing. This is a work in progress, but will promote movement and still allow me to control her calories...

You have grass? Any other footing? With the tape snow broke it

Yes, it's a grass track as I'm unable to surface it. My gelding eats down the nice grass before Fatty is allowed on. I'm hoping to add a sand area this year for rolling/loafing, and to put some removable mats in one corner in case it gets wet and muddy. I've had more problems with wind blowing the tape down than snow, but I've put a few wooden posts around which should make things stronger. I shake off snow when I go round poo picking so it doesn't build up too much and weigh down the tape.
