I just cleared out so many unused items in our kitchen. As for sponges- 🤢! I am in healthcare and our Lab was celebrating Lab Week one year and asked if people would bring in sponges, toothbrushes, dirty towels (bath, kitchen) hair brushes/combs that we didn’t mind being destroyed for testing. We were all shocked by the results but the sponges were the worse, even one that someone had “sanitized” before bringing in. I will never use a sponge ever again, I am now a dish towel gal and change all my towels out every day (all the towels were gross too but not like the sponges), so I now have 14 bath towels, 7 bath hand towels, 14 face cloths, 7 each dish washing towels and kitchen hand towels and 7 dish drying towels (no dishwasher and we use flour sack towels), I wash towels in hot water, bleach and white vinegar twice a week (all my towels are white and 100% cotton), same as my sheets (white and 2 sets per bed). We have HexClad and Cast Iron cookware, the HexClad is pretty easy to clean and our regular cast iron gets a scrubbing with a chain mail scrubber if they need it and our porcelain cast iron gets a nylon scrubber to them. And you are correct about your home being decluttered, it is more functional and lighter and brighter as my adult niece always says when she walks into our home- her parents tend to hoard a bit and are not much on cleaning daily or even weekly, so she calls me for suggestions on how to clean something or organize, she says she just loves being able to walk into our house and know that she has someplace to sit without moving things or able to grab a glass for a drink and not have to maybe rinse it out and that is how she is working on her home now.

I agree with u, if your home isnt cluttered much it feels better all the way around. Cooking, cleaning and laundry seems easier to me. Actually, I've always liked doing laundry even with 4 kids lol!!
Wow!! You are ruthless!!😂 I have tons of cabinets (drawers mostly) and a pantry but I still have all kinds of stuff on my countertops. The sad part is I don't like to cook so I had hoped all the appliances would make it easier. I am so impressed by how much you cook (from scratch no less) and can do it with such a simplified kitchen. Got a YS coming up...time to declutter!!❤

I’ve already made five trips to the donating center three bags of clothes. I don’t know how many boxes of odds and In stuff I’m still going at it. We had repainted some of the rooms so of course you take everything out but I’m not sure if everything’s coming back in .
I would keep the mugs since they’re personalized, but put tiny Christmas trees sticking out of them, and put them away with your decor.
I totally had the same icecream maker and ninja creamie. I got rid of both because it was just better to buy icecream when I wanted it.

Some advice you said you had some utensils tasting and smelling no like dishwasher soap? Check what you’re using for dishwasher soap? Pods? If so, I had plumber dishwasher person told me that they just put one amount in them. However, not all water types need same amount. He recommends using a liquid so you can control amount. The way to test is after a load or during beginning of one, stop and look in the washer, if there are suds, it’s too much. Only should be there when washing not during primary rinse or leftover after session completely done. The way to remedy is to put a little olive oil just sprinkled inside. Just a thought…..

Wow girl!!! You’re just rocking it!!! I always thought your home was a minimalist style so you’re really paring down!!! May I suggest that you not keep your broom with your kitchen appliances?
