Well that looked exhausting for you Jamie, its a really nice ship, lots of pools, the kids clubs were plentiful for all ages, did you count your steps lol, you wouldnt have done as much exercise in the Gym! Its very much appreciated that you do these tours for us, its a ship that i would go on in a warmer climate the outdoor areas are really good, how many passengers does she hold? Looking forward to the next vlog
Great video, we've never looked onboard this ship before - we'd be all over the water playground thing, so unusual. The ship looks better maintained and more inviting than those of the same class with P&O Cruises. Ventura and Azura seem a bit boring in comparison, with less pools/hot tubs and less glitz in the atrium. We'll hold off booking until we have seen your review though!
I’m all about interactivity - I have a low attention span so the water playground perfect for me 😂 I’ve always described the atriums on Azura / Ventura as ‘Debenhams-esque’.
Thanks for the informative video as ever. Just to note has something changed with UA-cam ads. A lot, lot more on this one - 6 to 8 30 sec ads with no option to skip. Usually only have 5 max 5 seconds ads with option to skip on each one. Just wondered if it was just my settings.
@@TravelBlogJamie thanks for the quick response. Weird. Just wanted to let you know in case others had the same. Hopefully it will be different next time.
@@stuKUK thanks - I don’t have any control I’m afraid. I’ve never changed the ads setting since monetising my channel ages ago so there’s no reason for more to appear from my side.
@@TravelBlogJamieok no worries. Thanks so much. Really do value all you do and you have really helped us as we have ( surprisingly quickly) become cruise addicts!😂
Docking in Italy in a few days and going into dry dock...Sails again Nov. 10. I'm on her over Christmas so I look forward to seeing what updates she has (and the Christmas decorations).
I'm on this ship, now. My VPN is blocked, but I have a possible adjustment that I'll try tomorrow to allow VPN to use my work laptop. The sidewalk on the Promenade deck was pleasant enough, but the stairs to go around the front of the ship was roped off and closed. The sole outlet in the bathroom only accepts two-prong plugs, not three: I can't plug in my Waterpik. I finally have used my two (non-surge-protector) extension cords with triple outlets, plugged into each other and leading to the desk outlet under the hair dryer., and now, into my second day, I am able to floss. Speaking of the adorable hair dryer with the push button release and the slide function low/high power, that was fun to use and was efficient. I can maintain my hair, especially after the expert cut on embarkation day (with the 10% embark discount.) The rest of the ship is fairly standard and alright. I do have a remarkably expert personal trainer in the gym, more on that, later. My first Princess cruise, alright so far. Anyway, I talked to one of the housekeeping officers, tonight, and he orrdered a plug adapter for my room, after all.
@@TravelBlogJamie Interesting. I guess p&o then borrowed some ideas off them. They're all under Carnival, I believe. Where's Chris Frame when you need him?
@@tammyd8233 I’m onboard MSC as I type and all going well (and no smoke in my cabin unlike on my Princess cruise). But yes, things can go awry for any of us on any cruise line / ship!
@@TravelBlogJamie if you don’t have any issues come up I’m sure it’s fine. I saw other UA-cam videos that said don’t take that cruise line and my travel agent talked me into it and boy did I regret it. But I hope you are having fun either way. I envy your job. 🥰
Why are you watching? FYI it never feels like there are 3000 people, they’re all spread out doing their own thing and enjoying themselves in different ways. I’m not one for huge ships but have been on two 3000 capacity ships and neither felt crowded. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. Waking up at a new port , enjoying fabulous service and a lovely breakfast before heading out to explore isn’t what I’d call being stuck on a floating hotel. There are much smaller ships so something for everyone.
Awesome tour, thank you Jamie❣️
Very welcome 🙏
Great video Jamie, i was really impressed with this ship, i like the warm colour pallet, elegant rooms and a general cozy feel.
Thank you 🙏
We were on that cruise. Excellent video of the ship bringing back some great memories ( and I just spotted my husband and I in Explorers )
Oh hey 👋 glad you had a great time!
Fantastic ship tour, looks a lovely ship with plenty pools and outdoor areas. 😍👏
👍👍👍
I’m going on this ship in January! It will my first time on Princess. I’d only sailed on Royal Caribbean before.
Have fun! 🤩

Don’t remember off top of my head but I did mention numbers at the start of the vlog! About 3140 with just lower berths filled I recall
What a great tour. Never tried princess but want too very soon. The ship seems a little older but kept up nicely.
❤️❤️❤️

She is an old lady bus still classy I’m in the U.S and I always sail on her to the Caribbean in the winter and truly enjoy my cruise
Awesome 🤩
This ship looks so quirky with some unique features, would love to sail on her one day.
Yes, some lovely and different features!!
Looks quite well maintained and in reasonable nick

Get yourself a cuppa and some nibbles and settle down for this one ❤
Cuppa I have a bit early for nibbles 🤣🤣. Omelette with ham cheese after the vlog 👍

Just a cuppa for me and my knitting 😊
Watching whilst at work don't tell anyone 😮
Do you know dates of caribbean princess refit/refresh.
It’s unclear - some suggestions of later this month or April but I can’t find the actual definitive answer

We are on her on November 10th. Excited to see the refresh.
April 2025, 4 ports
@akajasonbourne Don't know the exact dates, but the 1st cruise out of drydock is 11/10.

A lot of the exterior and interior areas reminded me a lot of some of the older P&O ships in layout, but also the wood and materials used. Weird.
These Princess ships originally appeared 11 years before P&O started using the model
