Just remember you're never alone and there are always people out there to help! Plus this song so incredibly done by Ronnie just makes our emotions more in line with how we truly feel.

The original song, came out at a godsend moment for me. I was dealing with a relapse (for lack of a better term to use) of a medical issue in my late teens that had my lungs randomly collapsing. Was in a really dark place due to the constant collapses + scars from surgeries..... the Original is what kept me from staying down and gave me the strength to claw my way back out of that pit.
THIS is how i felt when i heard the original.. THIS is what i was hearing when i heard that original song... its what gave me the courage to not back down and give up.
Yes i was 'head-banging' to the original (i even do the same to this version, just at a more sedated pace), but the feelings THIS song give.. are what i was dealing with at that moment...
4:11 = that moment when i was at my lowest during those days, literally teetering on a knife-edge ...... 4:16 + is what this song, in its original form, did for me.

Still have issues from the surgery but those are just minor random pains that come and go (like needle pricks). No more deflated lungs though.

I adore this. The first time I watched it I cried so hard. Had a really shitty few months and Sleep Token TMBTE album and then this broke me. It’s stunning! I want him to reimagine all his songs now 🖤

Ronnie so talented and thank God someone at his label recognizes that and spends the money on these productions. This song can make grown men cry (and it did).

I heard about this but just listened to it. I never imagined this song could be done so beautifully. I used to listen to the original all the time and when I heard about this I thought it would be close to the original. This was unexpected and wonderful.

This rendition hit on a wildly different level for me. Always loved papa roaches version, but the way Ronnie took this and added SO much emotion and depth to the already heavy lyrics, plus the video being synced perfectly with how he is singing it is masterful! You can really feel just how connected he is to this song and how much respect he put into reimagining this.

It was amazing, I grew up on Papa Roach. This song touched and helped me throughout my life. RONNIE did it justice and then some. He made it his own. And his timing is amazingly bad. Cuz Ive been trying to get another artist cover noticed. Kasey Chambers cove of Ems lose yourself. Sorry Ronnie not taking anything away from you. This is already like the 25th reaction, I've watched of this, you killed it, I cried, literally. But yeah go check out that cover evennif you do it on you own time. It's amazing.

This is pain-of mental health. Not a rebellion mad at the world but true pain. A soul pain if you will. It is a soul (or whatever you want to call it) crying out in deep pit. I nearly cried, I could feel the pain in the song.

I have a feeling that Ronnie connects with this song too.. especially with his mother. .. shes not dead but almost dead to Ronnie and he had that torture scream around that line of the song 💔😢
I was actually wondering if that was the true line in the song or if he changed it to ‘mother’ for reasons that u mentioned, I gotta go look it up now! But either way he truly made it his own for sure!
And of course I wonder what Papa Roach thinks of this as well, hopefully they aren’t too pissed at Ronnie for turning an already great song into such a masterpiece lol I bet theres actually LOTS of FIR/Ronnie fans today that are way too young to know the original so now Ronnie’s version is the only one they know and I’m sure love..

exactly. There's no reason to compare the two like people always do with covers because it's a completely different emotion.
I love both versions so much but for two totally different reasons. One for more of an angry, anxious depression, the other for the really low, deep melancholic depression.... If that makes sense... Hard to explain... I cant get enough of this one though 🖤
