Ronnie recorded the vocals in 25 min in the studio and they took the first take. So just the pure talent he has is absolutely amazing!
Yeah, he's a one take King. Don't even have to like dude to recognize greatness.
He also played it for Jacoby just after it was mixed. He wanted their approval before releasing it.
Knowing his mom abandoned him the line the mother was really powerful
Wow, I had no clue! If you want a good remake, you must feel it to make it your own.
This song is a exact reason the saying "its not what you say but how you say it" exist. Both songs are great but have 2 different meanings based purely how it is delivered to the audiance. One was made for us angry millennial kids growing up in the 90s and early 2000s and FIR version is for the broken adults we became trying to navigate this crazy world we all currently live in.
Same goes for Sound of Silence.
I totally didn't realize the lyrics were this deep either. This is so beautiful. Ronnie is such a musical genius. He really knows how to make you feel something inside. I kinda took the crumbling as the inner chaos in our own mind and the rebuild as what is portrayed on the outside to look "normal" as we never know what someone is going through on the inside regardless of how normal they look on the outside.
I don't remember what program I was watching when Jacoby explained the song, I watch a lot of documentary type shows, but I am so very happy he gave Ronnie his blessing to do this! 💞
I found it: ua-cam.com/video/XO7Xb-OvQXA/v-deo.html
Me either guess I never heard the lyrics due to the heavier sound
@@AngB517there is video on here from FIR when Ronnie presents the song to Jakoby and you can clearly see how nervous Ronnie was which is humbling and respectful to Jakoby as well that some as talented as Ronnie he was still nervous on how the OG would take it in, and he loved it.
Such a beautiful observation thank you for sharing ❤
Ronnie’s reimagined stuff is beyond beautiful. ❤️🔥🤟🏼
A back to back of vampire reaction would be so sick
Revamped not reimagined
It's reimagined
@@incitingariot9925I'm not a vampire revamped and the drug in me is reimagined
@@0rithe song is called reimagined. I'm not a Vampire was a pun on vamp lol as if you missed that. They're not gonna revamp it hes reimagined it.
At the beginning of Watch the World Burn he says "I got voices in my head again..." which is referencing the song he released before it, Voices in My Head. So it makes sense that the ending is referencing the end of Watch the World Burn.
He did another trilogey before: Losing My Mind, Losing My Life, and Drugs. The videos have intertwined themes
He's got 2 more "Reimagined" songs he's done by past songs of his. "The Drug In Me Is You Reimagined" and "Im not a vampire Reimagined", they're both like opera style type of songs that show his versatility. Definitely recommend reacting to those!
I second this, both excellent. I'm not a vampire revamped the music video is better than most movies 😂
Revamped. As in like reVAMPed.
You're not the only who never realized how deep the song was. I have heard the original hundreds of times. I am definitely going to have to re-listen to it. I love this version so much. 💜
It's because the upbeat and aggressive nature of the vocal delivery and instrumentation is easy to get swept up in. You're too busy rocking to fully focus in on the lyrical content. This version leaves you with no option but to listen to the lyrics.
@@user-me9in1yu6s The original always felt like a youthful anger, and that it was a threat. This is more like someone older, pleading for help and coming to the realization that there won't be a hand extended, almost like a realization that he must move on his own.
The original version was released when I was full of teenage angst, so it was relatable, and very sonically pleasing. I’m just shy of 40 now and I’m hearing this version and it’s still a bit relatable, but moreso understandable, and still sonically pleasing lol. Good reaction man.
Papa Roaches' version is for your teenage angst, while this version is for your adult angst, which is how I feel.
Very unexpected but I’m so happy about this cover! Falling In Reverse and Papa Roach are my two favorite bands.
Were you able to see any concerts they did together? So good.
@@detroitbball50 Yes, I got to see them both with Hollywood Undead. My dream concert!
Something you said about the end made me realize... WtWB was such a confident, "you can't F with me" song and he destroyed the earth. But this song is somber and vulnerable ans he fixes the world. That's so extremely telling.
I love both versions so much but for two totally different reasons. One for more of an angry, anxious depression, the other for the really low, deep melancholic depression.... like two stages of grief....If that makes sense... Hard to explain... I cant get enough of this one though 🖤
Ronnie did Papa Roach so proud! Thank you Papa Roach for writing this incredible song 🎶 👏👏👏👏👏These are so epic! I highly recommend doing there 2 songs that Ronnie wrote in prison! First in 1 video react to The Drug In Me Is You, 10 years later Ronnie did The Drug In Me Is You (Reimagined, it’s the same lyrics) also know it’s not about a girl, he wrote it when looking at his reflection in a mirror in prison and realized he’s his own chaos’s and struggles the song 🎶 is about him, hence The DRUG In ME Is YOU! The Original is a younger Ronnie liken it to his lifestyle as a rockstar, getting women, getting in trouble with the law, going to court, using humor to deal with his struggles in life! The Drug In Me Is You (Reimagined) is a more mature Ronnie, with the same lyrics, still not about a girl, the girl in the video was on the cover for the song 🎶 Ronnie uses his phenomenal voice and control of it to really show how meaningful the lyrics he wrote truly are! Then in another video do I’m Not A Vampire, wrote in prison also the original is a younger Ronnie using humor and being in a Celebrity Center for addiction and likening his addiction and rock style live to that of feeling like a Vampire then in the same video do I’m Not A Vampire (Revamped) and hold on to your seat because this is a full on movie masterpiece and Ronnie delivers the lyrics so beautifully and powerfully, it just shows how deep and powerful the lyrics are in both songs! YOU will KICK yourself if you don’t do these reactions on your channel, it’s a must for Falling In Reverse fans! The originals are classics for us fan’s but the reimagining and revamping are just stellar! Look forward to these reactions!
Great reaction you should definitely check out the other 2 songs he did this with, I'm not a vampire and I'm not a vampire revamped and The drug in me is you and The drug in me is reimagined. He did the new versions at the 10 year anniversary of the release of the songs and the lyrics hit much harder.
Absolutely 💯 this is a must!🔥
The revamped/reimagined versions are AMAZING!!!!!!
Check those 2 songs out! You will love them❤
Guys... He already did
@@rickylaws7766 Thank you, I’ll look for it! I just tried looking for it, I couldn’t find it, must be on patreon and I don’t have that.
I always knew this song had a deeper meaning and I was in that place as a teenager where this song really spoke to me and I see Ronnie still taking it to another level. I'm much more balanced these days and I love what he did here. Beautiful. I'm glad I made it through but I know people who did commit suicide because of those feelings of where I was at the time. This is why I love music. I found comfort in music in a spot where I worry I would do the same. This is why I'm a huge fan of Ronnie Radke. I pulled through it before I found him and most of my experience was through Metallica, but I hope the younger people get that from Ronnie like I got that from James Hetfield, but I felt it from Falling in Reverse too. Life isn't easy, but sharing with those that understands is life changing.
If it's music, Ronnie can do it and nail it every time. No matter the genre. His talent is uncanny, from Rap, metal, pure vocals.
And that fact he played this for papa roach and got their blessi g first is incredible.
Ronnie Radke once again showing he is a musical genius.
I love that you clarified that because you have never had those feelings, you didn't realize the message from Papa Roach's version. I'm binging on you right now and that is what is making me want to keep going. I didn't even know this remix existed for this song until your channel and I almost skipped because Papa Roach's song hit me so hard growing up and I was rolling my eyes. I grew up feeling that way and the message wasn't lost on me. I don't feel that way today and now I can share your new experience with this one. I still like the other version better due to my past experiences. Going to keep up with you watching this band though.
I've listened to Poppa roaches' last resort so many times and really never heard the lyrics. I've only discovered Falling In reverse a couple of months ago. And they're lyrics resonate everything I'm feeling and going through in my head. And this song, after losing my mother a few months ago and feeling so isolated and alone, it hits hard.
I am so sorry for your loss.
This is amazing. I’m surprised you did this reaction! thank you for this. Songs deep. Very deep
Glad you reacted to this one. It's a beautiful cover. Ronnie suffered from depression and he's still here. So he was building himself up again at some point. I wouldn't count Ronnie as belonging to the youth, though (he's turning 40 this year). I hope you'll check out The Drug In Me Is You and The Drug In Me Is Reimagined. He wrote the original while being in prison, fighting to get clean from hard drugs (heroin I think) and likingu at himself in the mirror. But you can also interpret them as being about a toxic relationship.
Greetings from Germany
I've been dealing with a lot in the past few years and much of it internally. This song stopped me and made me recognize my emotions... pain, trauma, anxiety, ptsd and anger. I've heard the original many times, but this does so much more. "nothing is fine" is exactly true, my facade has cracks and inside nothing is fine. I'm shattered like those buildings.
The lyrics are SO MUCH more relatable with this version!!!! It hit my soul so much!!!
Bro! I could sing that song verbatim from high school. But just like you, I never thought or bothered with the actual lyrics. I could sing the lyrics, but never actually thought about them. Today is the first day that I recognized how intense this song is. It’s like an entirely different song. Have we overlooked other songs as a generation?
ʟᴇᴛ'ꜱ ᴛᴀʟᴋ ☝️☝️ ɪ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ꜱᴏᴍᴇᴛʜɪɴɢ (ʙɪɢɢᴇʀ) ᴛᴏ ɪɴᴛʀᴏᴅᴜᴄᴇ ,🤝🏾
ronnie is showing us an adult side of the song that we loved and felt with our teen aged angst we raged with the original this is us grown up and still feeling it and how it has matured with us
Good job picking up on how it appears that things got “better” at the end. The music change, the rebuilding of everything… it’s seems a subtle hint at hope that things got/get better
I love the tie into watch the world burn at the end. Awesome song, very epic. Great reaction awesome song ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Best band ever 43 yr old guy here x local rapper myself and been following FIR for a long time ! They have been my favorite every since the Alone video !
Same. It was always a get pumped up song. This is beautiful and deep.
The word you're looking for is a ballad.
Is no one else seeing the continuation with all his other videos and songs with this one? We have the same set as watch the world burn and he's repairing the collapsing world and the ending shot of the world on fire is extinguished. Never would have expected this to be part of the saga.
I lost my bf of nearly 15 years *im only 28* in july. I first heard this 2 weeks before he died at a falling in reverse show.
Jan 20 is his birthday coincidentally falling in reverse is playing here that day. Thankful to have something to do that day. Freeling the same feelings expressed in the song. Life is hard.
Here's an easy way to tell the different string instruments apart:
* If it is held under the chin, it is either a violin or a viola. If it looks a bit "too large", it's a viola. Otherwise, it's a violin.
* If it is played vertically, it is either a cello or double bass (sometimes called a contrabass). If it is massive and the top goes way over the head of a seated player, it is a double bass. If the top goes up near to or just a bit over the head of the seated player, it is a cello.
Ronnie always leaves easter eggs of other songs somewhere for the ones who pay attention
Ronnie and Jacoby Shaddix(papa roach) sre actually friends. I saw them on tour together last August
"It's the end of the world and nobody's there..." yep... that is the point of the videos symbolism. When you are at that point in your mental state, it feels like the end of the world and you feel like nobody is there and the world is crumbling around you. Visually *chef's kiss* on the video and the musical re-expression of the song. A+++ to Falling In Reverse and Ronnie on this re-imagining of Last Resort.
This one is amazing, it really make you feel the lyrics 🫶
I love this version. You definitely get to understand the lyrics more intimately. 😢🎉❤🔥🔥🔥🔥
ronnie made this song so flippin deep, makes me tear up every time I hear it so insane
You should definitely do a back to back listen to The Drug in Me is You and the Reimagined version. Also I'm Not a Vampire and Revamped
If you watch the other reimagined versions of his songs, you have to watch the originals first to appreciate how much of a change they are.
This was the song that introduced me to Falling in Reverse. I immediately loved it. I didn't know what the original song was so afterwards I listened to Papa Roaches version. I swear i am obsessed with this song
That was absolutely beautiful and so touching.. ❤ thank you for sharing
14:31 I think that the visuals of the buildings being put back together might have to do with the original songs meaning. From what I read, Shadixx wrote this song about a close friend who was in a dark place and going through those things and eventually healed from it.
Him and Jacoby are really close in real life. I know he made him so proud!!
YOU GOT ME! Soon as you started talking about mental heath in this generation...I hit the like and subscribe! thank you for acknowledging
Such an amazing reaction. I feel ur pain as well as everyone else. Much love…
Hey BP, Love your reactions brother, How lucky we all are living in an age where Ronnie and Ren exist. Both are the best the music scene has offered in a very very long time. Both are geniuses in their own right and i would give anything to see them colaborate. Man that would be something for the ages. Anyway thank you BP for your channel. Lots of love from Greece stay healthy and safe.
Chills everytime, I can't get enough of Ronnie Radke
Same goosebumps every time I hear it so beautiful and the words hit differently in this version 🙌🔥
Definitely love the undoing of the "Watch the World Burn" at the end of the video.
Bro, first reactor I saw catch it. You’re so well spoken and so in depth, you gained a new sub and a new fan, keep up the awesome work man❤️
I hope he's okay. He's previously showed us his depression struggles and things in his music. I think his brother passing hit him hard. 🥺
Anthony? He passed a while ago. I honestly think Ronnie is doing the best mentally than he’s ever been. If anything maybe it’s Derek’s passing that’s hitting him.
@@detroitbball50 I agree to that as well. Musically he's beyond creative and genre bending. As for Derek, I agree there too. Personally, if something traumatic happens to me I tend to fall back onto other similar events.
Thank you for reacting to this song and band
Omg yes!! So good. Thank you for this. ❤❤❤
Very strong lyrics, real emotion expression I've ever seen. Truly made you think of this affliction in a different light. Also I believe these guys have decided to push all their efforts into EP releases only. This way they can dedicate their entire budget to video production. Their concerts sell out, I can't wait for next release. Thanks for breakdown
Damn! This guy is awesome! Totally misjudged his music that you reacted to before! Beautiful and deep! Could listen to this all day❤❤
Awesome Reaction man!! Watch you all the time..
Funny thing is I saw Falling in Reverse with Papa Roach back just on Feb 5th 2023 in Lexington KY at Rupp Arena. Both acts were phenomenal. Jacoby (lead singer of Paper Roach) wrote this about his friend, who fortunately is still with us. I was 26 when it came out and I immediately resonated with it. But Ronnie here makes you FEEL all the emotions of the song; it has a more emotional feel to it.
It’s tricky to redo a fav classic, but Ronnie pulled it off for sure
They performed here in Colorado Springs also and it was an amazing show!
One thing with falling in reverse , all their music videos all go with each other . What we like to call it “ the falling in reverse trilogy “ just because all his stuff is like movies and he’s always connecting every music video together. Dude is the most talented person in this day in age 🔥😩
Ronnie was kinda the new age modern era pioneer of doing genre bending bro, everyone else is following his suit.
React to "I'm not a vampire" revamped. He should legitimately be doing Phantom of the Opera stuff!
Exactly!
You know you’ve been watching BP for a while when you aren’t looking yet but you automatically mouth “what’s going down wooorrrrrllllld!?!” 😂. That even caught me off guard when I did it lol.
Ok ready to watch now ❤. May edit at the end to add to my reaction to your reaction 😉.
THANK YOU!!!! For pointing this out to me! I love loveeeee this !!!!!
I just listened to this before I saw your reaction.
This is such an amazing version!
It is certainly over the top👀🦇
I appreciate the truth in this reaction. Thanks for keeping it real.
Nice job on the reaction mate!!!!!!
You hit my thoughts on the lyrics point on. I also never caught the death of the song until this rendition. It makes me realize how vulnerable Jacoby must have been when this song was written. Just the aggressive nature of the original didn’t allow you to go as deep into the meaning like this does. I love it. Great reaction bruh.
You were correct they are cellos, but they also did have violins playing. It does remind me of I AM Legend mixed with Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio. Also in Watch The World Burn the planet was destroyed, and in this one, the planet reversed and healed itself
Excellent job buddy! First time watching your reactions and I will definitely be back!
You see the last image is the last image from the Watch the world burn but in reverse building up again the earth. Very intersting
Also movie wasn't I Am. It was that dream thing with Leonardo DiCaprio Inception. They made a world just like this in their dreams. It was a weird one
I wish I could like this reaction TWICE! 🥺❤️
Hi! After this one and Watch the World Burn, and to mention Popular Monster, you need to see the two versions of the reimagined songs. Both The drug in me is you, and I'm Not a vampire (Reimagined and Revamped)are just simply incredible. Go and make your brain explode. ❤
I love me some Papa Roach. This is beautiful.
This song is oneof my favorites, has been since it first Released with Papa Roach, I always understood the meaning in the words but the way Ronnie sings them vs Papa Roach they could be two completely different songs. There is a video here on YT that shows Ronnie playing what I believe is a rough draft of this to Jacoby and waiting for his approval of it. Its a good video you should check it out if you havent seen it.
I felt the same way. I liked the original but this version gives the lyrics real power. I can feel them.
4:44 Dudes, u explain it perfectly, this is how it's should sounds like if u wanna end your life..
BP, it's also noteworthy that the buildings reconstructing themselves are "Falling In Reverse"
Hi ! So i was wondering since you dont know a lot about Falling In Reverse,
i was hoping you could react to the trilogy. You can see his path from where he kind of started to now, musically and in his life. Its a story. The order of the trilogy is 1. Losing My Mind. 2 Losing My Life. 3 Drugs.
I think youll see how genre bending he has been for years.. and also his Watch Me mix tape is pretty awesome as well!
Thank you for your time and reaction! You is awesome sauce ! 😁😊
I've a huge fan of Pappa Roach, i love the original version of this song. Now that I'm an adult i have a deeper love for this song, and i finally understand the pain behind the lyrics.
papa roach's original song shows how people mask their misery by escaping. ronnie took away all the distractions showed in the original video. it emphasizes the depth of these lyrics. hes truly a genius with music
It was composed by Sean Rooney who is a classical composer. He also composed the other re-imagined / re-vamped songs.
He’s on youtube 😊
But it's done to Ronnies original note structures that he wrote for the original, just slowed them down a bit.
@@ChristopherJames1993 Absolutely, it's always a collaboration.
It's a string quintet. 3 violins, 2 cellos. No scolding necessary. 😉😊
I am a huge FIR fan, that’s what brought me to you, your reaction was awesome! I am going to subscribe to hopefully watch you react to more FIR songs. I recommend Zombified next, I think you will love it!
Ronnie doesn't do drugs anymore, but he still goes on Benders! 😂🤣
Love the perspective. His whole world crumbling around him. The man is an absolute Artist.
Google “The Story Behind The Song: Papa Roach’s Last Resort.” The original song is deep and not about Jacoby. It’s actually about a friend of his who attempted suicide. His friend is alive and in a good place now. I have to wonder if that’s embedded in the symbolism of the world falling and crumbling apart and then reverting back to a whole and complete. As always, great vid.
There a few other songs fir has done like this. The drug in me is you and the reimagined is the worth a reaction!! I was lucky to see fir and papa roach last summer and it was an amazing show.
I highly recommend watching more Falling in Reverse. The best way to view it would be losing my mind, losing my life, Drugs, carry on, the drug in me is you reimagined, I'm not a vampire revamped.
After watching this for the first time my immediate reaction was “no one gets to say Ronnie can’t sing” lol this was a masterpiece
He did tour with papa roach and there is a video of him very shyly showing papa roach his take as he respects them a lot.
I thought they out did themselves with Watch the World Burn, now this. It's breathtaking. Another new release is Imminence Come Hell or High Water. They kept their violin. It's beautiful.
You should do a series of "songs we didn't understand until we were adults"
Good starting place would be "semi-charmed kinda life" it's a song about a girl in a toxic meth based relationship that OD's. Yet it was used in movies almost from it's release as an uplifting "ugly girl gets hot and gets the guy" type of movie song. Due to it's upbeat sound and sing-along "do do do" hook
I once saw someone describe it as the original is teenage angst and anger where is this one is more of an adult’s genuine depression. Some of the lyrics really do hit a lot harder when slowed down.
Oh yeah one of my childhood favourites - Last Resort by Papa Roach 🪳
...Love to you, Black Pegasus yes qdos to Papa Roach, give him his flowers. This is my first time listening to this, but was thinking of Papa Roach through it. A great rendition...👍☝️🖼☝️🎇🙂
Start with the trilogy it explains his journey from Drug addiction and Prison to where he is now, Losing My Mind ,
Losing My Life,
Drugs, in that order Its Worth the journey
Also no idea the lyrics were so deep! Wow... used to blast this regularly. It's still on my playlist, but wow... talk about a cover hitting differently!
Man, I feel the same way. I used to rock so hard to Papa Roach. To find out more than two decades later that the song was actually deep AF, blew my mind. Honestly, no one could have showed me the depth of this song like Falling in Reverse. His Revamped versions of his own songs, and the songs of others, brings out the depth I had not even begun to notice.
