I also grew up watching Benny Hill. I used to watch it with my granny after Sanford & Son haha. I feel blessed to have been brought up on amazing comedy, amazing hip hop, and amazing art in general. There's so many clever lines that I love and all of his voices etc etc. Benny Hill, Mr Bean, Sanford & Son, Gomer Pile, I love Lucy, Golden Girls, etc...my granny and I used to sit up and laugh. I couldn't have been more than 4 y/o (b. 1985) but I remember it all vivdly. Humble beginnings haha.
Very agree. Few have given us all as many good laughs as Benny Hill. It was the highlight of the week on television in the eighties. He is sorely missed! May he RIP in the highest honor !

Such a talented man with a greater troupe and also a very educated and learned person as he seems on the documentary about his life. My parents watched Benny Hill and I remember hearing them laugh and getting out of bed to sneak a peek. I was far too young to be watching this, or understand the raunchiness 😆, but I couldn't stop giggling when I watched. Of course I got caught many times and sent to bed 😅
I love Dave Allan too! Everybody I know never heard of him. They missed out on great comedy. I'll never forget Dave's high bar stool, drink, cigarette, & his partially missing finger. Being Catholic myself, his jokes were too much!🤣
Yes same here loved Doctor in the House too and Faulty Towers I remember hearing my Mom laughing across the hallway from me when I was a kid. Great memories back then.
When comedy was funny, sorry, hilarious, and all ages, sexes, races, and cultures enjoyed without any problem. The 70's and shows like Benny Hill made everybody's life more enjoyable.
Benny Hill put a lot of comedy as well as truth and feeling into his acting. That's what made him a great British comedian and actor. So sad hearing that the man died too soon. RIP, Benny Hill.

I worked with a lady who used to work in a coffee shop at the airport in Australia. She would often see Benny Hill arriving to visit relatives in Australia 🇦🇺 . She said he was telling jokes for the whole conversation. Making fun of anything that was said. He died with 50 million pounds that was distributed to his relatives, maybe the ones he visited here.
One of the funniest shows of my childhood, I used to watch his show as much as possible. Every so often we are blessed with a true gem. The Benny Hill show was one of those treasures. Never will there be another like him.
My mom was a bartender/waitress from Philly and New Jersey so comedy was just comedy and she never saw the harm in her kids watching and laughing at whoever we were watching. So we grew up watching any and everyone we could. So grateful for her. She didn't find Benny Hill funny but I always did and damned if I don't still find him hilarious. Awesome coming across this. Made my weekend.
Magnificent comedy! I love this show. We need more comedians like him today. The world sure could use some good ole laughter! And yes, RIP Benny! and those of the show who has since passed.
YES!!! Benny Hill was the move back in the day! We had sketch comedy shows here in America, but this UK import was in a class all by itself!! Good memories!!👍🏿

BENNY HILL WAS SO TALENTED. HE CAME UP WITH THE SKITS. HE COULD SING, HE COULD PLAY INSTRUMENTS, HE COULD DANCE, HE COULD CREATE COSTUMES AND REUSE THEM AND HIS "RACY" SKITS WEREN'T WEREN'T TOO RACY. I love Benny Hill. He specialized in two things - long skits with no dialog, just one sight gag after another, and very clever word play.
His delivery isnt so sharp. As for they dont make em anymore...there are lots of good comedians, this is dated.
And removing clothes from women and smacking bald old men in the back of the head 😅
