I couldn't have been more than 4 y/o (b. 1985) but I remember it all vivdly. Humble beginnings haha.

Such a talented man with a greater troupe and also a very educated and learned person as he seems on the documentary about his life. I hope some day somebody makes a movie about his life, it would be very interesting.

My mom was a bartender/waitress from Philly and New Jersey so comedy was just comedy and she never saw the harm in her kids watching and laughing at whoever we were watching. So we grew up watching any and everyone we could. So grateful for her. She didn't find Benny Hill funny but I always did and damned if I don't still find him hilarious. Awesome coming across this. Made my weekend.

I worked with a lady who used to work in a coffee shop at the airport in Australia. She would often see Benny Hill arriving to visit relatives in Australia 🇦🇺 . She said he was telling jokes for the whole conversation. Making fun of anything that was said. He died with 50 million pounds that was distributed to his relatives, maybe the ones he visited here.
My parents used to watch this when I was very young but the memories of them laughing while watching Benny have definitely brought back some nostalgic happy moments. I love this guy! My dad watched this while I was growing up, and to this day I still watch him; I get my hands on any DVD of his I can find (and a couple of t-shirts). I'll be 50 in 5 days and Benny Hill was part of my childhood. In NYC the show came on at 11:30 on channel 9. Although half the time I didn't get the innuendos and my mom never explained them to me because she was too busy cracking up😂, I still had fun watching the show. I love Benny Hill. He specialized in two things - long skits with no dialog, just one sight gag after another, and very clever word play.
His delivery isnt so sharp. As for they dont make em anymore...there are lots of good comedians, this is dated.
And removing clothes from women and smacking bald old men in the back of the head 😅

BENNY HILL WAS SO TALENTED. HE CAME UP WITH THE SKITS. HE COULD SING, HE COULD PLAY INSTRUMENTS, HE COULD DANCE, HE COULD CREATE COSTUMES AND REUSE THEM AND HIS "RACY" SKITS WEREN'T WEREN'T TOO RACY. I LOVED WATCHING THE DUMMIES FLY THROUGH THE AIR AND COME TO LIFE WHEN THEY LANDED. I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN. PLUS, WHEN BENNY WAS IN DRAG! IT DIDN'T MATTER WHAT HE SAID, JUST THE IMAGE OF HIM AS A WOMAN WAS HILARIOUS!!! HE WAS A GEM. POOR BENNY. HE WAS SUCH A MISER. HE PROPOSED TWICE AND WAS TURNED DOWN. HE MUST HAVE HAD SUCH HEART BREAK. HE WAS SO TIGHT HE WALKED EVERYWHERE AND WOULDN'T SPEND A PENNY. HIS ESTATE WAS SHARED WITH HIS NIECES AND NEPHEWS. LOVE THE MAN. ❤❤❤❤

One night, I sneaked and turned on the TV. It was very late. I saw Benny chasing bare breasted girls and about shite myself! This was in the USA. Thank you channel 11! Best show ever in my sad little adolescent life.

I'll be 50 in 5 days and Benny Hill was part of my childhood. In NYC the show came on at 11:30 on channel 9. Although half the time I didn't get the innuendos and my mom never explained them to me because she was too busy cracking up😂, I still had fun watching the show. I don't care what people say he was the absolute best at what he did and now I have the pleasure of passing his show on to my son. Cheers 🍻 to all of you in the Benny Hill crew🍻

Channel 20 WDCA (UHF. Remember UHF?) out of Washington used to show these 5 nights a week at 11 o'clock back in the early '80s. Watched it every night. Good times. Oh, yeah! Diana Darvey was out-of-this-world beautiful, too!
To be able to watch Benny Hill , I had to wait for my mom and dad was a sleep so I play it on the little black and white TV on top of that it would come in on the UHS channels

Our city had cable before the town I grew up in. My husband and I invited my parents up just to watch Benny Hill. As soon as cable came to their town, they got it just for Benny Hill. We all loved him!!

Grown up watching Benny Hill. My grandfather saw I loved Benny, so he copied a reel to reel tape he had from the mid 50s when said those jokes on a radio program he had, before he got known on TV.
