The little plastic cover that pops out/rolls out? No, you shouldn’t have to if you’re careful with it. If it gets damaged it would be a good idea to repair/replace it though.
It won’t fit; it’s specifically designed to only take Polaroid i-Type and 600 film. You’d be better off buying i-Type since it’s slightly cheaper, and the only difference is that the 600 film contains a battery (the old Polaroid cameras used the battery from the film cartridge), but the Now has an internal battery that you charge with an included USB cable.
