Ravensburger puzzle 5000 - Leben im Korallenriff ( Time lapse )

  • This puzzle is definitely the hardest one I have done yet. Not just because of the size, but also because there are dozens of different colors all over the puzzle. There is one big part of the sea on the top that is probably the easiest part, but I spent a lot of time on this part. Everything is colorful and it is hard to take some pieces and put them together in one place. A lot of parts of this puzzle are so similar that even when I separated them by color, they would be in different locations on the puzzle. This puzzle is pretty hard even for the people that put together a lot of puzzles. If you planning to do this puzzle, you will need a lot of experience and of course, a very big table. It took me 40 hours of work over 19 days. Video is made on the way that one picture was taken every 15 seconds. If you have any questions, write them in the comments.

      +Elizabeth R. Thank you! I was surprised too when I calculated that it took me only 40 hours to complete them. When I was opening this puzzle, I thought that I will need much more time to complete it. Also, this was my first time doing 5000, but I have a lot of experience with puzzles like 3000 or 2000. Video was made on the way that one picture was taken every 15 seconds, so the video is a bit longer, but there is a lot of photos in it. Thank you for watching! :)

      +Elizabeth R. Next video will be 2000 pieces puzzle and it will be at the end of december. I go to school, so I don't have enough time for puzzle. Right now, I don't have puzzle that is bigger than 5000. Maybe I will buy 9000 some time, but they are pretty expensive. I have some puzzles at home, so I will do them next.

You did it from the sea to the ground. Iam in the other way. 3 weeks i needed... but know iam happy. and this great moment, when you put in the last one :) You inspired me to buy this one. Thanks!

    • @thepuzzleman
      @thepuzzleman  4 роки тому

      Thanks! :) Well...I didn't measure the puzzle when it was done so I think dimensions must be like written on the box. I think so because if there can be some difference, Ravensburger would write 150x100 on the box. Since they have written exactly 153x101, I think there can't be more than 1cm difference between dimensions written on the box and real dimensions if any difference exist at all. :D

      @thepuzzleman  6 років тому

      +Ash Newsam It is true. That is one reason why I bought this puzzle. The other reason is because I like the picture of underwater paradise. I have a lot of experience with puzzles, but I was expecting that the colorful part will be more difficult to put together, but I had more troubles with water in the upper part of puzzle. So it was pretty nice putting together this puzzle because it is so big and colorful and some parts were harder and some parts easier than expected. Thank you for watching! :)

    • @thepuzzleman

      No, I didn't glue them. They are very close to each other. I believe that this is so because of Ravensburger's softclick technology. This is the reason why I can lift them up without falling apart. :)

    I did this in a intermediate level with a 1500 piece for intermediate beginners. Advanced beginners starts at 3000, 4000, 5000 and 9000. If you’re already a professional. Above 9,000 for the most challenging pieces till the worlds biggest puzzle

    • @thepuzzleman

      +Jose Perez Yes, that is true. Puzzles with 9000 pieces and more that that looks awesome once they are completed. I am planing to make a video with 9000 pieces puzzle sometime in the future, but they are pretty expansive. Maybe I will buy them some time in future. Puzzles with 3000 pieces and especially 5000 pieces and more are definately not for the beginners, but if you have some experience with puzzles and if picture is not very hard, you shouldn't have a lot of troubles putting them together. Thank you for watching my video! :)

    What a strange way to do a puzzle with all the pieces on the table. While I can understand the convenience of being able to see all of them face-up and unhindered I don't find it handy to place them in the area of the puzzle itself.

    • @thepuzzleman
      @thepuzzleman  3 роки тому

      Well, I like to have all pieces close to me so I can see all of them and when I work on one section, I can just take piece that I want without standing up and walking around the table. Sometimes, though, it is a bit impractical. For example when I put together one part of the puzzle and I have to put it inside the frame, first I have to make space and this can turn over the pieces and mix them...so this technic has it's own advantages and dissadvantages, but I use it anyway because of small table surface for larger puzzles. :)

      We've just finished a 3000 puzzle of Van Gogh's Bridge over River Arles.. Took a year, and though we were very careful, ONE plain blue piece was missing! Pulling my hair out!!! Now my daughter has bought a 4000 piece one. Can't use our dining table for about 2 years I think. BBQs out on the patio from now on. Cairns Australia.

      Ich habe pro Tag durchschnittlich etwa 2 Stunden gepuzzelt. Knapp 3 Wochen hat es gedauert. Aber Profis bekommen es noch schneller hin. Bin eher so der Hobbypuzzler

      Krass. Und sortiert ihr die auch in schälchen nach Farben? Oder wie geht ihr da vor? Ich bin gerade an einem 6000er dran und hab keine Ahnung wie ich da vorgehen soll. Den Rand habe ich schon mal fertig 😂

    When you took it apart in sections why didn’t you just separate the sections instead of removing pieces in between? Now you’re left with a bunch of loose pieces. Just wondering.

    • @thepuzzleman
      @thepuzzleman  4 роки тому

      Good question. Well...I have to remove some rows and columns to separate sections, but I could put them back tegether, that is true! :)

    So what happens if u do the whole thing and ur missing one peice

    • @thepuzzleman
      @thepuzzleman  4 роки тому

      Well...so far I have few puzzles with missing pieces, but there are always more than one piece missing. For the channel I pick puzzles for wich I am sure they have all pieces. Now, generally speaking, Ravensburger have an option of ordering just pieces you lost. I don't know how it works, but I know this refers only to their gold puzzle line wich are puzzles with 9000 pieces and above I think. To conclude, there is an option to get missing puzzles, but only if you lost some pieces of Ravensburger's gold line puzzles. :)

      @@thepuzzleman ok gotcha I was thinking you should be able to order specific pieces. Ur work is awesome btw, I did a 1000 piece and was flabbergasted lmao.

      Ravensburger puzzles that come with the poster are 9000 pieces and more. If you want to say that 5000 pieces puzzles should come with the poster too, I definitely agree with you! For 3000 pieces puzzles, poster is not necessary, but for 5000 there should be one. :)

      I think Ravensburger have an option where you can order some pieces, but I don't know how much is maximum. I know it is for puzzles that have golden numbers on the box. It is golden series because those puzzles are 9000 pieces and more, at least I think so. You can check this out on Ravensburger website or send them an e-mail. :)
