Ilias probably isnt fighting much because hes preparing to do MMA. He has a great striking style for that sport if im being honest

Brother a ring has much more space than an octagon
One is pretty famous for sidelining their talented kickboxers (Daniel Puertas, Panpayak, Akimoto until recently etc.) so one might just not be offering him reasonable fights
In my opinion Ennanachi did a great job by pressuring Superlek but I still think Superlek definetly won because of the power advantage, Ilias won in my opinion rounds 1 and 2 and Superlek won rounds 3, 4 and 5 Gabriel, Ilias would land clean shots but those same shots would do no damage to Superlek so in my opinion Superlek definetly should have won this fight, but still it is just my opinion Gabriel and an amazing video as always keep up the great work!

This is what I always wondered about Superlek in terms of beating him, and turns out I was right. You simply can't play traditional Muay Thai against the man.

Dude is really good at footwork and changing directions and that surely will confuse a Thai fighter. But he doesn't couple that with lots of jabs, which would certainly would have made him more effective against Superlek. That style really needs your jab working, and even your teep. Plus he only moves OUT, never IN, kinda like Willie Pepe style. always moving out and not using his jab you get him into trouble soom with someone who is used to his style.
It was a close fight. Also Superlek wasnt familiar with kickboxing at that time. His game has evolved
He won becuase Rodtang In fact One set up Ennahachi vs Rodtang for Business But there is such a trend in Thailand that it has to be rematched

Surprised Gabriel was scoring it to Elias tbh. Didn’t know kickboxing awarded fleeing style in scoring, superlek was centre of the ring trying to walk Elias down, he might have pressed forward on superlek like 3 times the entire fight but he was barely landing clean shots on him. By damage it looked like superlek was doing more to Elias and I know the One scoring system marks damage infliction the highest. No idea how superlek didn’t win……

Why do lots kickboxers and Muay Thai guys have such bad balance recovery? I mean in terms of regaining control once they have started to stumble. It's just so odd for me to watch as someone who originally came from a wrestling background. Rodtang has pretty good balance recovery. But lots of them don't.

I thought Superlek took 3,4,5 though all 3 were close. Ilias dominated 1 and 2. I would have given it to Superlek but it wasn’t a robbery.

A good boxer with the corresponding skill in other areas will beat Superlek, that's my opinion. He can't handle boxing, Takeru showed that.
I think Tenshin Nasukawa would beat him, especially with his pro boxing credentials now.
