how can cash in endorsee be 10,000 when he has only received 9500?

Hi mam. I have a doubt that if drawee( buyer) accept discounted bill of rs 9500 for inv wearth of rs 10000 ( 500 discount)
A a/c Dr 10000 ( inv amt )
To discount received 500
To bills payable 9500
On the due to drawee is paying
Bills payable a/c. 9500
To cash a/c. 9500
This entry should be in the drawee books.
Please reply for my better understanding about journal entries

Mam please solve on 1.4.99 babu draw a bill on Ravi for rs1600 for goods sold at 90 days sight .Ravi accept the bill on 5/04/1999 babu however endorsed the bill to Sohan in settlement of debt of 1700 on maturity the bill was duly honoured by ravi
