Bruce is from our beautiful Island of Cape Breton,in our beautiful little town of Sydney Mines. We are just devastated! over the loss of Bruce. We are so proud of him. Not just for what he accomplished in the music world but, for the beautiful soul he was. R.I.P Bruce.
I'm a California native living in Utah USA. Runrig became my favorite band by just listening to Alba: The Best of Runrig. Now I share there music with those I work with!
This was our song so many years ago. I loved you then when i was young and i loved you more than day i lost you. Its enough to keep me still believing your memory is everything. Also RIp Bruce Guthro. Another angel sings tonight
Stumbled across Runrig years ago and has fallen in love with the band and songs through the years. I hope I'm not the only Nigerian fan - with love from Nigeria!
Leider habe ich die Band erst viel zu spät kennen gelernt. Ich liebe jedes Lied und war leider nur einmal auf einem Konzert. Sehr sehr schade... Zu gerne wäre ich mal nach Schottland zu einem Konzert gekommen.
Love this song and performance. Runrigs music made this world to a better place. Thank you for all amazing music Bruce, it have meant so much in my life. RIP.
Truly a book of Golden Stories “Till the Minstrel comes to save us”…We Remember, We Will Remember, Will you REMEMBER…Memories are Everything…RIP The People’s Prince 🙏🇨🇦🙏🏴🙏
Mòran taing Runrig...I miss you
❤ Thank U❤ so much😢❤ I lived u ones 2007 in Scotland your fantasic concert " In The Year Of The Flood" 😊 Elisabeth Nikkola In The Island Of Gotland In The Baltic Sea Of Sweden.
No idea how the band, never mind the Crowd managed to keep it together that night....I was in bits just watching the DVD when this is played....Great song, great band..greatly missed!!!
The thing I like most about this version the display of the many people that have been involved with the band and have passed away are honoured on screen Chris Billy Alex Marlene Robert none forgot
@:I was sick when they had the final concerts in Manchester and Stirling. I am glad in a way because I don't think I would have watched it without getting really upset 🏴🏴😁🥳
God I am going to miss these guys.. :( Whats kinda funny is that I visited Scotland twice in 1977 when I was in the US Navy stationed in Keflavik Iceland. We would fly down to the Royal Air Force base in Kinloss. The guys were playing gigs around that area back then.. I had no clue who they were. God Bless boys..
Funnily enough the 2nd title for the the Chief sept/branch of Clan Bruce was Kinloss (later and is the current sept/branch being Elgin and was unified with Kincardine in the 1700s 11th Earl of Elgin and 15th of Kincardine is the current Clan Chief), Edward or Sir rather Edward Bruce being the 1st Earl of Kinloss a title founded/created for him The Master of the Rolls (chancery of equity) at the time accompanied James VI to succeed Elizabeth I in 1603 Sir Edward Bruce being the father to the mother of Tam Dalyell of the Binns (I apologise lol may have got his last name spelt wrong haha) who the now Royal Scots Dragoons stem back to at the time the Scottish Greys (the grey horses they were mounted on) fought at the Battle of Waterloo why the drummers have a trumpet hanging from their sides for the tradition of the cavalry charge signal Clan Donald (Gáidhlig being Domhnaill historically keeping the Lord of the Isles title until the 1400s, stemming from Somerled sort of the father of Clan Donald, reason likely why Gaelic still even exists since he revived it after the defeating the Vikings out of the Hebrides at about the age of 65, see Runrig as being a sort of but without warfare reviving Gaelic as it should be!) being a historical ally of Clan Bruce when their Clan Chief particularly after the defeat at the Battle of Methaven (mevran as its pronounced) when the to be King Robert I fled and lived in a cave, sometime after went to seek the aid of Aonghus Óg MacDomhnaill (the chief of clan donald) Rory and Calum are Clan Donald of Scalpay sept/branch great one it is too! (due to my grandmother from my fathers side descendant of Clan Bruce myself Bruis in French following the Norman invasion/conquest in the 11th century moved from Normandy likely present day Brix in France)
