That nice, grungy sound. Wish more bands added that rawness to the instrumentation nowadays. Too much clean and overproduced sounding stuff today; makes everything bland and uninspiring.

I totally agree. With modern recording technology it's actually harder to get this raw old school sound, makes it tricky to pull off unless you have a producer/mixer who understands the vibe. Most producers always wanna make everything so damn clean and polished. Source: I'm in a similar sounding band
