Great video, sorry I missed it live. I bought a pair of Aputure 100x's for my video work and have been experimenting with them for photography. The Wysiwyg aspect is definitely great.
I learned a couple nice tips here. Loved the idea of starting at 50%. Also great tip to go brighter and warmer with the rim or hair light. Also its good to know if I need a lot more light that I could get a high powered tungsten fixtures for a reasonable price.
Thanks for the great content and great job doing it all without assistance.

Cool as always - great to get these discussions out there and get the conversations and debates going . Im a speedlite guy for the portrait and concept work I do from my home studio space and often find myself questioning the need to use flash on product shots as it can be finnicky work and easier to do with constant lights. However flash is great for daytime when I want to controol the space, whilst at night its easier to black things out in the room and just use constant light and long exposures at lowest iso
I do find that actors and models are not fans of even the weak constant lights i have due to the seeming powerful glare yet having to be at iso 400-800, 1/60th shutter and f4

In school we used Tungsten lights in our commercial photo semester, we had 7 setups and boy did that room get warm. LOL It was very cold when not in use but as soon as we started setting stuff up the temp rose. And we had to buy Tungsten 4x5 film.

To me, a great benefit of these demos by Adorama pros like you Dan, is that while the overall plan might be to do 2 or 4 setups, you give about a hundred useful tips along the way. Experience! Thank you! Impressive too that Darin could essentially stand in one spot for over an hour, and not keel over. :)

Sir, when you start to use the Panel light from Savage, you spoke so fast about what settings you were using, your speach wasn’t exactly clear. Please say here what those settings were again. It may have been 40 or 400 ISO, something 8 seconds and something else. Also, what were the settings on that Savage Panel light please? The class was very informative however, you do speak very fast at times and it is not as clear as you may think to your listening audience. I don’t mean to offend, just stating a fact. Thank you.

Can't quite qualify it, but the LEDs, when compared to flash (or flash as I imagine it), just don't seem to hold up. Not sure what it is; maybe the initial power at the time of shot, or some wonkiness with fall-off, but it's just not the same.
