!!!IMPORTANT UPDATE!!! Radical 600R is NOT road legal. We made a mistake on this one. The manufacturer does have a road legal model with similar performance characteristics and its name is RXC GT Road. Please accept our apologies for the mistake!
When i was younger and could only use my mums phone, watching this channel is how i would spend my time, thank you for the memorys mate, i must have watched this video alone 15-20 times, cheers
Really nice to hear that. I've been running this channel for almost 7 years now, got lots of memories too. Thanks for coming back, you are always welcome here ;)
The making of lightweight cars is a cool new trend in motorsports. Every person, who has a true racing spirit, can both take these sports cars (although they can take on some of the best supercars) to the track, as well as drive them on public roads. Please note that cars are shown in the random order and you can find all the information about each vehicle in the description! Don’t forget to reply with thoughts about your favorite car.
I appreciate your suggestions, I've added the idea to the list but I will need some time to produce it. But I have some new videos close to finalization, so new content will keep coming regardless of the requests. The requested videos will just be published a bit later (I may require more time for research and production). Thanks for understanding.
Awesome list! I've had my eye on a few of these for quite some time as a designated track car, but opted out of them since they're too expensive to justify as a designated track car. The more expensive, the less comfortable it is to drive it at its full potential (fear of crashing, breaking, repair costs, etc.), which ultimately means less fun. I'd feel much more comfortable purchasing a cheaper car, say an S1 Lotus Elise (weighs
That sounds like a solid plan. There are people, who prefer the ready-made options (which is okay, if they can afford it), but if you've got a great mechanic and would like to have an adventure building or modifying your ride, you should definitely go for it. I'd love to hear about your results in the near future.
@@automotiveterritory back mono - lotus - caterham etc etc...has too much hp and if you go to the manufacturer spec, you will find your hp are inflated by 1/4 %. And why no Atom? Do your research first...

Great suggestion. I came across this car back in the day when I was working on this video, though I cannot recall, why it didnt make the cut. How do you like the rest of the lineup?
Automotive Territory: Trending News & Car Reviews Nice cars, most of them I'm not familiar. Though some like the bac, caterham and ktm that I usually see on Top gear. Keep it up!
thanx for stopping by. Appreciate the suggestion. Unfortunately, the Atom didnt make the cut, after all we had only 10 spots. Which car from the lineup do you think it could replace?
Definitely not a joke, sometimes the most obvious things slip your mind. Ariel have presented a new model this year, so I may create an updated version of this video.
Mist of this cars use ecoboost ford focus engines and 3.5 v6 ford , audi and honda civic engines appear to be some of the best compact engines around lol
I would like to point out that the Radical 600R is NOT road legal. They do have a version that is which is called the RXC GT Road. It has two engine options with one being the same as the 600R with the same performance capabilities listed. Just wanted to make the correction.
You stated that all of these cars were road legal at the start of the video, and it's in the caption. "Have you ever seen a look alike of a Formula 1 racing car zooming past you on the highway at an incredible speed and thought: “is that thing even legal on the roads”? To your surprise it most likely was since there is a whole class of super lightweight one or two seaters, that at times still require a helmet to be driven, but nevertheless even though barely meet the standards to qualify as road legal. Due to the unbelievable power to weight ratios, these cars are floating between classes and are showing performance comparable to sports and all the way to hyper cars."
I went back to the video to review it, it's been a long time, sorry. You are correct. This was our mistake and the two models got confused in the process of the video creation. I will address this issue in the pinned comment. Appreciate your feedback, viewers like you help us to stay focused on creating content without errors. Is there anything else we dropped the ball on? Did you like the lineup overall?
No, I just feel like there are other engines with a lot of potential and I don't know why eco boost engines are so common in these lightweight cars. Is there a significant weight difference?
No Ariel Atom? Not much of a "Top 10" list IMHO. What's funny is you listed the Rezvani Beast which uses the Ariel Atom chassis & powertrain around a carbon fiber body. Maybe do a bit more research before posting a lightweight sportscar "Top 10" list huh?
Who doesn't know Ariel Atom? I went for the newer and lesser known models in this video. The reason why I didn't feature Ariel Atom was that it hadn't been updated for such a long time. They did reveal a newer model recently but it happened some time after this video was published.
The "newer lesser known model" of the Caterham 620R which has been around for much longer than the Atom, lol. FWIW, the Atom has been updated 3 times, prior to the newest Atom 4. The US version had a different powerplant, transmission and suspension design than the UK version. @@automotiveterritory

Is there something significantly wrong with them?

Praga R1R?
Very exciting suggestion indeed.
