- The weather is warming up as we head into Christmas and the school holidays! I think this beach is about to get very, VERY busy and popular, so this will be my last time seeing it this year. Gosh, I'll miss you Point Cartwright!! Thank you so much for spending another end of a year with me.

The Cat Cowry is my second favorite. Loved the spots and coloring on that one. Third is the Graceful Cowry. They’re just dainty and colorful 😮.. I LOVE your Santa hat too! Merry Christmas, Mimi 👋🏻💖⛄🎄 It was a wonderful day to go shelling: hot, sunny, but the water was not refreshing enough for a day like this! The Lynx Cowrie was a nice one to find; I really don't find them often at all! The Cot Cowrie was truly a nice one with his full colours and speckling still on the shells, same with the Graceful Cowries too!! Just a heap of nice Cowries this time, it was the perfect way to finish 2023. Ohhh, the Santa hat had a fun design, right?? I sewed it myself, and I made my dad one with doughnut 🍩 material...I think I might actually look better than the seashell one!! Thank you so much Mimi, I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas today, and I wish you a Happy New Year 🥰🎊🥳🎉

I’m sure they have so much to do as Christmas draws closer. Oh yes indeed, I sewed my Santa hat and one for Dad too! He has a donut 🍩 one...he picked out the fabric! Christmas was really lovely today, but a very hot day, so we didn’t wear out Santa Hats much. I did eat a lot of food though, so I think I was a bit of a hypocrite this time 😅 I made cupcakes and ate a bunch 🤣 and prawns, too! I was born in Scotland now I'm back here for 10 months living here now in Ayr shire I'm happy to be back home yesterday on boxing day I found my first green sea urchin it's small and beautiful plus 2 hermit crab shells they were big bit old and sea worn but I love them they are my first and my first tusk shell and some augurs and other shells I love your videos your amazing 🎉❤😊

Congrats on your Sea urchin, I thought they mainly liked tropical waters! Ohh hermit crabs sure take the best shells, don't they?!! I've just back from shelling at girvan in Scotland I've found some great shells I found four beanie cowries and some augurs and some other great shells😊🎉

Love this video! The Arabian cowrie looks big! I’m probably going to go to a beach at the end of this month, Wonder if my country has cowries this beautiful. The cowries I find are usually just pale white. Nice beanie! Also, do you use a phone to record?
G'day Anne 👋🏻🐚 I think this one was a big one 🤔 actually, I'm pretty sure I left this one at the beach for someone to find next to the walking track 😁 I don't know where you are in the world, but if you have cowries as your beaches, then it's very possible to eventually come across some very nice ones!! The pale ones might be worn away, but it's always possible to find them in their full glory! Yes, I just film on an old model iPhone8...I don't like the newer ones with multiple cameras; the image 'jumps' around on them somehow, and the recording audio always uses the back microphone instead of the front one (which I need so people can hear me). If/when I upgrade, it will probably be to a decent quality Samsung. I don't think a GoPro is a good choice; the minimum focus distance on those things is so far away! Some phones are also like that too, though. I think I talked about this so much in case you ever want to share shelling videos too 😉 Thanks again for watching 🥰
