I remember hearing that sitar in a lot of Nintendo games.
Yoshi’s Story on the Nintendo 64 is one that comes to mind.
It’s also in Legend of Zelda Wind Waker.

I just got a Proteus/3, and now I'm wondering ... is this the only rompler with animal noises? LOL! I mean, besides the SRX-69 Legendary Fauna Collection, but good luck finding that!
It's crazy that this is from 1991. The MIDI control and modulation options and multitimbrality on '90s rack synths is far better than modern synths. And they did an incredible job making patches with keyboard splits. But that makes sense, since the Emulator was based on loading samples to either side of a split.

Bit of a niche reference, but the patch 'Spirit Catch' - and the EMU Proteus series - were used in the score for the 1990s BBC Children's drama 'The Demon Headmaster,' the title theme of which heavily riffs on the X-Files (same whistle patch).

Ok at 11:23 during the "55: Suling" sample, I am very curious about the tuning this is emulating!? It sounds like it is following a Harmonic overtone series/ Like when you rotate a cutoff knob with the resonance all the way up on a synth. It has that awesome 90's world/techno type sound with the more authentic major 3rd. I LOVE THIS SCALE/TUNING!!! How is this achieved on this synth / sample? Is there a way to make any synth / keyboard play in this tuning? Any input appreciated! THANKS!!!!!
