We love to be able stay in a caravan park and to be able to walk to pubs, shops and the water as well. Love bush camping too so nice to have the best of both worlds. PS - I really enjoy your channel. Thankyou for sharing your tips. Very helpful
There's an old saying, Paul and Wenda, you have to stop to smell the flowers. Good to see you out and about once again. Keep up the excellent work, and I'll see you in the next video
Good to see you regrouping and getting the energy going again, have missed your videos but everyone needs time for themselves. Enjoy and hope to see you back in action soon
The wife and I have a home base, but even when we are doing a big trip / big lap, we enjoy stopping at a caravan park in a larger town for a couple of weeks to reset and recuperate. We think of it as a holiday from our endless holiday 😊
Hi Paul & Wenda, we're so pleased to see you back and we're glad that you're both ok. We were recently wondering where yiu guys were - now we know 😂 That was a great episode, with some useful tips. Enjoy the week ahead, and we look forward to your next vudeo. Take care, Corrie & Lyn ❤
I was only thinking of you two yesterday and checked out your Channel to see if I had missed something as I was wondering where you currently were. Nice to see you , and yes I agree with all of your info. We have been stuck with not being able to get a suitable Tenant for our place but just in the last few days have realised a family member can come and stay at our place for a few months so we are going to be able to hit the road again in 4 weeks. Hopefully to do a 5 - 6 month trip to the NT. Our rest has been way too long LOL
Excellent overview of the reality of life on the road full time. Thank you. After 40 years of work, I dreamt of extensive travel in my van around Australia. Unfortunately, my wife believes that one month is the limit for any travels. She loves being home with access to family and friends. I was hoping for around 9 months on the road per year. I'll be lucky to get two or maybe three. So much for "retirement dreams". Best wishes to you both. I'm truly envious.
My wife told me I should see this one, as it is very good. We enjoy watching your videos together and talking about how it might be when we attempt some 3 months at a time caravanning adventures ourselves. Anyhow, it's great to see you guys looking well and please keep up the great work, Cheers Shaun and Helen.
Great video, we've also found we need to regroup every so often. It's lovely to become familiar with a town and not have to think everytime I need something.
Great advice as always. We’re in our 50s and collect our van in August. I have MS so we will have to do things a bit slower and like how you’re suggesting. My mum lives there at New Brighton on the beach and Ocean Shores is where she golfs most days. Hope you’ve walked that New Brighton beach, it’s so beautiful. You’re in a great spot in the world. Love the Brunswick pub for a meal. If you’re still in the area, there’s 2 Russian girls with a pop up food van in Mullum. Their food is amazing!! 🙏
Thank you 😊 yes we are still here, until mid April, we have 2 weeks in Mullum the week after next. We are walking on the New Brighton beach in this video 😉 yes it’s a great area. That’s great about the van, maybe we’ll cross paths on out travels Cheers Paul and Wenda
We're in the second half of our seventies and have the good fortune to have retired to Cairns. We're off very soon in our caravan for a couple of months in the outback and I know we'll love it but also love getting home. We just take things slowly to suit us, we couldn't do it full time for various reasons including health. We've left it pretty late in life to do our caravanning, but that's OK. By the way, your new Rode mikes are great, good to see an Aussie company producing excellent gear with a worldwide reputation. Try their NT100 headphones, they are great too.
Thanks 😊 appreciate the feedback on the microphones. Cairns is a great spot to be based. We did so much from there, cape York, Karumba, cape tribulation and so much more. Wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up in Cairns 😆 But yeah we reckon the key is to do it at your own pace Cheers Paul and Wenda
Great episode. So many things to think about when travelling… thanks for your honesty & sharing the reality of travelling On a totally different topic… what type of hat do you wear Paul… it would be perfect for my husband… great sun protection
That was a great episode.. we love your content..how long can you stay in a park like this one? Is there a limit to the length of time you can stay in all parks or is it different from park to park? Thank you both for what you do ❤
Thank you 😊 Generally parks don’t like you to stay more than 28 days in case you decide to stay permanently. Apparently it’s harder to evict someone after 28 days. But often they’ll let you stay longer if they get to know you
Thanks for the video, my wife and I are coming up for retirement soon and are planning on doing some long trips and the information you provide is great. But my question to you is what do you do to avoid getting on one another's nerves being together in confined spaces for lengthy periods of time? Look forward to your response regards Glenn
Sounds great 👍 traveling is a lot of fun. We seem to get along pretty well in the confined space. We both enjoy a lot of the same things but also go and do things independently. It’s even easier when we have the annex up as it gives one of us another space to be in. Might talk about that in another video 😉 Cheers Paul and Wenda

Cheers Paul and Wenda
Great info folks, enjoyed that, microphones work well, nothing wrong with a slab of great northern 😄👌🏻
Thank you 😊 and thanks for the feedback on the mics 👍 yep good old White Fish 🍺
Love Brunswick Heads my grandfather used to run the terrace caravan park there back in the seventies had lots of holidays there over the years.
That would’ve been pretty cool. Yeah it’s an awesome little town with so much character.
Cheers Paul and Wenda

Thanks John we appreciate the support 👍
Cheers Paul and Wenda
Best thing I remember camping at Brunswick Heads is kayaking up Marshalls and Simpson Creeks north and south of the river.
Yes definitely a great thing to do. We’ve done that a couple of times ourselves 👍
Cheers Paul and Wenda

Paul, can you tell me what brand those lapel mics are, please? I was wondering... and yes, great audio. Stay safe.
Thanks we thought the audio was better 😊 They are the Rode wireless Go II
